don't really understand what you just stated. are you saying that these games are bad but pc users will think it's good solely based on because it's their first encounter with the game/series?

Holy shit the comments in that article. These people act like it's the end of the series.

the fuck does Nintendo have to do with this?

He's talking about Nights of Azure

They're still porting Firis, right? I don't have much of an interest in Atelier without time/resource management. I tried those PS2 ones and they were just boring.

They know what happens to a series' fanbase once PC gamers enter it.

You mean it's only going to get bigger and Gust is going to get more money? This isn't the Neptunia games where they pull memes and ironic humor out of their asses every other line, while the fans follow suit. I'm fairly confident that the Atelier community will be no different than it was before.

Atelier threads disappeared after Sophie western release, people lost hope in the series

Like half of Sup Forums prefer Sophie to the old games because it's impossible to lose, though.

I don't blame them. Gust went quantity > quality by going with annual releases, series fatigue set in.

Atelier always had yearly releases
First time I hear about this

Console warriors, people who revere a specific console maker and believe it's the only way to play games. It's honestly hard to understand the way they think as a normal person who just wants to play video games, bizarre.

I think this is pretty cool though, I heard azure was fairly basic with a good artstyle so I'm excited to get a chance to play it now. Atelier has never really interested me but if it's at a good price I'll give it a fair shake, there aren't a lot of jrpgs out there today so hell why not. Personally I'd love if every game was available to everyone and we could finally move past this obsolete way of locking them into specific platforms.

keep making this thread, good job!

This a true test if PC gamers truly deserves Japanese games, if not. Enjoy your Assassin Creeds and CoD rehashes.

Every Atelier thread always has a few people talking about how time limits are scary and they wish they weren't in the games so they could grind as much as they wanted. And those guys are basically who Sophie was made for.

Series was on the downfall since merurur. Ayesha was a slight boost then it went back downhill.

NoA isn't a good game. Only 30% of players didn't drop it before completing chapter 4 of 7 out of the main story.

Steamfags embraced Nep. They will embrace Ateliers

Basically
Every Gust game is trash
Even consolefags know this and they try to warn you, but for some reason people don't listen

NoA flaws

- Leveling system is very flawed. EXP points for MC (blue blood) are also used to create Servans, so game becomes extremely grindy if you try to experiment with different party combos. Blue blood is also currency in demon shops, so you lose EXP points in exchange for certain items.

- New servans you create start at level 1, so you have level them all the way up from scratch.

- Map is garbage. Can't enlarge it, so you have to constantly memorize where you're at.

- No difficultly settings so very easy and can just spam transform in order to beat bosses easily.

If Nep and Zestiria can break 100k on Steam then Atelier can. Probably won't though

sweet now i don't to buy a ps4... for another year.

>tfw I liked Shallie but didn't like Sophie

What went wrong?
