I actually started the series with MGS4.

So few mech games have the same feel behind the controls, this was near perfect to me. It really felt like you were in a gimped Rex, facing off with a machine mass produced to fuck you.

The fact that Kojima brought back every character just to give them a happy ending, retconning a lot of stuff from the previous games, and give the player a nostalgia boner just puts me off.

It's harsh, I know, I love mgs1, but you have to agree with how spoiled newer generations are gameplay wise it would likely leave a bad taste in his mouth

True, and Ocelot clearly had an edge. He could do more advanced maneuvers, could take more damage and his attacks did more damage. The most effective way of beating him on Big Boss difficulty is to use the CQC mechanics that Hal created. Ocelot was stronger, but Snake was more gritty.

I'm glad they didn't go the Uncharted 4 route and force you to lose no matter what.

But that's wrong. David (brown hair allele) is the dominant clone, and Eli (blonde hair allele) is recessive. In Eli's case, his genes are "superior", not "dominant".

ZOE is just as amazing, it's just the other kind of mech game. It's also the best Dragon Ball game ever made.

Talking about the gameplay, art, graphics and OST here because the story and character is absolute shit, ADA is the only character you ever give two shits about. Also 2's gameplay is a lot better.

I own the remaster, but should I skip 1 until 2 hooks me? Love the mech designs.

Ray was designed with the known specs of Rex in mind. But back in the day Rex had some secret buffs installed by Otacon that no one knew about until he activated then in MGS4.

I started the Metal Gear series two years ago and beat Phantom Pain a few days ago. I think 4 is my favorite, even though 3 was the best game.
