I really like those very bare bones designs of guns like the KRISS Vektor or the AS VAL, why do scifi guns always look like big boxes with a tiny tip of barrel and a bit of mag, the rest being all stock and grip?
Why base everything off the FN F2000?, P90 gets a free pass with the special mag, but why are thin guns so unpopular?

Most of the AvP franchise is associated with being shit, and as far as the movies go, it's true.
The comics published by Dark Horse: good
AvP 1 PC game: okay.
AvP 2? Fan-fucking-tastic. Great in so many ways.
You could probably find people playing it today.
The dynamic of the 3 different species cannot be overstated, especially with aliens moving on every surface. The surface-movement is incredibly clean, especially compared to the AvP fps by Rebellion more recently. That one is garbage compared to AvP 2.
So many hours. So many encounters decisively won by carefully listening to the sounds of footsteps. So many times being decapitated lunging at a melee specialist predator. So many times blown apart by sniper rounds. Good times!
