First Final Fantasy game you played.
Sadly I missed the boat for FF when I was younger but, my first one, sadly was lightning returns.
First Final Fantasy game you played
>my first one, sadly was lightning returns.
besides being retarded for playing the LAST game of a trilogy first, that´s alright. LR was my GOTY of 2014; a great game.
My first was FF7, and I only got interested in the series and then genre because it played kinda like Pokemon (in fights)
Dawn of souls version of FFI
Pretty fun, huge shock when I then played VII.
Watched my uncle play most of FF6. Didn't get to play one myself until FF9.
My first was VII, it kept my momentum up until XIII. Then after sitting on the shelf for 1 and ½ years, XIII-2 reignited my love for the franchise anew. But enough about that, what on earth made you start by playing the third entry in a trilogy? Did you just not know and picked it at random? I mean the cover isn't quite clear on it, but surely it should've rang some warning bells?
*rung
Dammit, sorry.
>hmm I've never played a single game in this series, where's a good starting point?
>I know! The second sequel to the 13th mainline game not including spin offs!
How does it feel to be a literal retard
First : FF6
then : 7, 8, 9, 3, 2, 1, 5, 4, 10, 12, 13
It was either VIII or IX, but I think the first one I played in any short of meaningful fashion was VII.
They were such radically different games, I think that right there helped me understand from the get go what the franchise was all about
Wait, VII or IX I meant, not VIII.
IX, when I was about 8 I think.
After that
VII > X > X-2 > I > XII > XIII > VI > VIII
Still working on that there backlog.
First was X. Second was either XII or III. Then the XIII series. Then VIII. Then XV.
Those are all the ones I've played and beaten, and I liked all of them. The next ones I plan to go through is VII or VI. I've went through the beginning parts of those games so many times, and I just stop. I'm not sure why.
>I'm not sure why.
Looking at the rest of your post, it's probably your shit taste.
8, first one i finished was 4 with action replay for lvl99 because i had no idea how to play RPGs and rubicante was destroying my shit
I played FF1 when it came out in america on the SNES. I was a freshman in highschool at the time and all the nerds were obsessed with it. Me and a friend tried to make a paper mache chimera from that game. It didn't work out.
That should say NES. I have no idea why spell correct added a fucking S to it.
VII, X, X-2, XII, XIII and XIV. Should IX and VI at some point when I have time.
I wouldn't have it any other way.
You're lying right? Just for replies.
GBA version of 1 when I first discovered the magic of emulation.
For me I went in this order. Though I did play around with some in between, I'm only listing them in the order that I started and also beat them. VII was my first no matter what though. First I played and first I beat.
VII
Tactics
VIII
IX
X
XI
FF1 (Dawn of Souls)
XIV
V
VI
Throw Tactics Advance in there somewhere, cause I don't remember exactly when I played that, but I do know I played and beat it when it was new.
Shit I forgot X-2. Throw that in there as well. Remembered after seeing this user's post
X was my first, then years later came back to the series and played through III, IV, VI-IX, the XIII games and XV.
X is still my favourite. I'll admit there is a nostalgic factor that makes it my favourite but I did play through it again recently and its still fantastic.
First was 4 when I was like 12. Only got like half way through though. First one I beat was 10
I played X for the first time last month. Fantastic game.
X was first, kinda late to the FF games.
then tactics, then X-2, then XII, then XIII which i never finished because it was boring
X is still my favorite, but it's mostly just the nostalgia and comfyness. XII is great though.
My step-dad introduced me to 7 when I was 7.
Back then, I could easily spend 12+ hours in a single session. Making myself tremendously ill in the process.
I remember I had to defer to him for the mansion safe code at one point.
A few years later I overheard my mum saying that he couldn't shut up about the game. Which I find kind of cute for a (at then)60+ year old man.
FF1 original on the NES. Been hooked on the series ever since, even the bad one(s)
IV
VI
X
XII
III
I
II
XIII
VIII
VII
IX
V
XV
My favorites are VI, IX, and IV
My least favorites are XIII, XV, and VIII
>this thread again
My favourite FF > Your favourite FF
Bla bla
Its a game retard not a book. You don't need to know the story at all, the gameplay just needs to be good.
VII: First one I ever touched, was very young and didn't even know anything beyond Pokémon. Died to the first boss and stopped. Eventually my disc 1 got scratched :(
VIII: First Final Fantasy I've actually played for a while, got to the 2nd Disc but that one also got scratched so i was forced to stop.
X: I was a little older and more into it now, first one i've played all the way through and still my favorite to this day.
Wait, you're saying you're kind of a veteran with FF but still liked the 13 trilogy? What's more, GOTY?
...
Are you shitting me? Are you? Are you? Come on, you can tell me. I won't get mad. Really. I won't.
I only played Crystal Chronicles and Dissidia
I started VII first but XIII was the first I finished. Went straight back to VII.
I've never played a Final Fantasy game ever because I always thought it looked stupid.
Fight me.
you have difficulty reading?
FFI advance or FFXII dont remember but I wasnt disappointed by either
FFVI when it was brand new.
XIV
I even like FF1 and 3 and I can say FF13 trilogy is what this series needed, especially LR. We also have Type-0 which is fucking excellent. The series has been getting better and better.
Final Fantasy Tactics.
I was confused when FFVII was so different.
