For example because you don't want to fucking spoil yourself in the way watching videos does. Having a guy tell you that the beginning is a choose your own adventure style and that it's great is not the same as seeing the damn thing, the choices you can make and the consequences of the choices.

Also, a 30-min video can give you a better overview of the experience than watching hours and hours of some stale let's play.

Sometimes you just want someone to validate your opinion.

Sometimes you just want to look at some guy's antics and get a laugh out of it.

And lastly why not both? Why not look at some extracts of some let's plays to get a feel for the game and the things that will or won't work for you and look at the opinion of some fucker who finished it and has a global view of things?

Everyone has their own preferences. Listening to one person to decide if you want to buy a game or not is retarded. If a game looks cool, buy it. If it sucks, return it.

GiantBomb quick looks are great, show 30min+ of the game unedited and you can just ignore what they're saying, no agenda like most reviews.

You can't return games. All stores have a no return policy on open games. The only place you can "return" an opened game is Gamestop and only if you bought a used copy of a game. But even then, you only get store credit.

He is "shit at games" because in every single one of his let's plays he constantly talks over cut scenes and the main story parts of games or the helpful parts, and then later on in that game starts shitting on it because he does not know what to do or what is going on. He is a complete casual, just watch any of his videos. While playing XV he shits on the game because he can't drive the car at the beginning...IN A FINAL FANTASY GAME....he loses it because he can't drive a car.

Watch his Last of us 2 trailer reaction shit, gave the game a 10/10 in a review last year I believe and praised its story. 1 min in and he doesn't even recognize the Firefly logo on the sign, calls it "some survivor group" and makes no connection to the man walking in on Ellie signing being Joel. I never even had a PS3 and I never played 5 seconds of TLOU and I knew what was going on in the trailer. And he is supposed to be a game reviewer with over 2 million subs and gave the game 10/10 praising its story?
