small tip to the user's picking it up for the first time, don't neglect characters since your party gets split up like 20-30 hours in, make sure the two children are leveled up or else you're in for a world of pain

You people have astoundingly low standards. And I really mean this. The only good part of the game was the Dream short stories but besides that NOTHING stood out. It just was.

That can easily be worked around by splitting different eras up into chapters.

It's one of the better JRPGs though. Graphics-wise it still beats most of them up to this day. It's also the most nostalgic turn-based game that any Final Fantasy fan has desired. Could be a little faster though. The story is above modern average writing (it really went to shit in general) and the Dreams are very well written that add a lot of depth. They weren't that short either.

It stands out as not being a super weebish game with pretty decent writing, world building and character development. Especially for the main character if you count the Dreams aswell.

There is a reason why it's well praised as a game.

That's pretty dope. It's one of the two games that I still need to play on the 360. The other being Bullet Witch.

The setting of the game is there solely to support these stories. And they're great and a unique way to experience video games. It's like finding the stories about the space pirates in Metroid prime.

Alright, now I know you're joking.

Great music, graphics, combat is well executed and the boss fights can be a real challenge on your first time through and there's more than enough content to keep you busy.

I think anyone that likes JRPGs should give LO a try, kudos to MS for making it a free download.

Dark Souls is a better true Final Fantasy XIII than this shit is. The only reason people meme it as a "true Final Fantasy XIII" is because it has Sakaguchi on it but in that case why is not Terra Battle, Blue Dragon, Party Wave, Away: Shuffle Dungeon or Last Story the true Final Fantasy XIII?

There's only one GOOD Ace Combat on 360. The other (which I'm pretty sure is a multiplat) sucks dick.
There's still other good games for the system, though. Hell, the better performance for console exclusive multiplats make it worth it.

Because Blue Dragon is obviously meant to be the 360 version of Dragon Quest.
