ITT:Casual filters
Why haven't you beat my course yet nerds?
is this bait?
Rollout Rollout Rollout Rollout Rollout
I never got this meme, mostly because I never had problems with Miltank or Rollout.
You have to remember that the G/S generation was full of shitters that were new to Pokemon. Anyone who played the originals didn't have any problems with Miltank because they actually knew how to play the fucking game.
>use sand attack and/or palayzing/confusing move
Was that so hard? Even for a dumb 9 year old?
Literally just grind your starter to be 1-2 levels higher than her and it's done as daisies. Never understood the meme. I'm pretty sure there was a fighting type around too.
...
>Relying on RNG
I guess paralysis could help given how Miltank is surprisingly fast, but you know you'll get fucked eventually after all the milk drinks. You need to do enough damage that milk drink can't heal fast enough.
...
As a kid my starter was stupidly overleveled and curbstomped it like everything
As an adult I have a well-balanced team that can deal with it through sheer numbers at worst
I just caught a geodude.
Oh boy another thread of people posting the hardest bosses, complaining that other peoples posts aren't hard enough, and all around completely missing the point of what a casual filter is.
Don't be a casual
...
Good ol' Pontiff Sulybones.
I only say this because he literally made most of my friends quit Dark Souls 3, proving that they are massive casuals.
By the way, turning off the EXP share in Pokémon Sun makes the game challenging because you have to level up each Pokémon individually like you used but to do before gen 6, illima and Hala kicked my ass
Only fighting type you can find in Gen 2 before Whitney is Heracross, and he didn't get any fighting moves from leveling back then
...
But that's wrong because you could get a Machop through ingame trade. A FEMALE Machop who was immune to Attract.
Not true, the way I beat Whitney as a kid was trading a drowsee or something for machop in the goldenrod dept store.
Then I'd keep it for the whole game even though I had no one to trade it with for a Machamp...
People like to post Paper Jam's wiggler
But my ass was getting kicked big time by Paper Petey
Why the fuck is Hala's Crabrawler so fucking bulky
Even more than his Makuhita
How the fuck is that possible
>Hala's Crabrawler uses the fighting type Z Move
>mfw I switched to my gengar before he activated the Z-move
Dem reads
>get little brother into this game
>he quits here just like I knew he would
...
>not Lurantis or Mimikyu
Rollout doubles in attack power every turn.
If she uses it to start the battle off and you don't have any fastmons she'll just wipe your team guaranteed.
Unless you grinded levels like a pussy.
>go in with a haunter that has some tm moves
GG EZ
when I was young and could not understand english I thought stat change moves did nothing
but user, dark souls 3 is for casuals
not hard just annoying
Why is everyone with an Hariyama such a cunt in SM if you don't have anything good against Fighting? holy fuck
>beat these two on my second try
>lost to Ceaseless Discharge 10+ times
separates casuals from real men
So is Pokemon Sun worth playing?
Mimikyu is a little late to be a casual filter and you just went through a volcano with fire-types and also got the Fire-type Z move for Lurantis.
...
Cerberus too. Shit felt like you were supposed to start on mission 20 and come back to him
I honestly don't remember beating this.
one of the earliest I can remember
>beat him on hard
Have you done it? Have you even gotten TDE?
>try to switch
>All 3 of Hala's Pokémon have pursuit
Draw your sword, Ramza.
Of course
The change to the format is great
Totem Pokémon and Kahuna's kick your ass
And the characters are fantastic
Post game is still meh, but that's mainly because the bulk of the main adventure has a lot of shit
Hello, I can tank a single hit for no damage and have more speed than 90% of pokemon in Sun and Moon so I can kill most of your pokemon in 1 or 2 hits
I also summon pokemon to help me
>litten fag
I found Cerberus a lot harder tBh
and the one from DMC4 too
>GF
>making good boss battles
come back when they pull something like this
>Smart Strike
>Corkscrew Crash, which you just got an hour ago
>mfw Genius Sonority can pull shit like this but GameFreak is so awful at making AI they just give Pokemon 1-2 Moves to ensure they don't waste their turns using shit moves multiple times in a row
>mfw Genius Sonority has been reduced to Shuffle
God fuck that game. So confusing.
They never will until mainline adopts Doubles as the standard format for the adventure
>no romhacks that make every battle into Doubles
Blame the TPC CEO. He fucking loves Trozei and Shuffle.
I'd played red since I was five and still ate shit.
There's not a lot of good fighting types or even fighting type moves available to you at that point, ground will get demolished immediately due to typing and being slow as shit, and you won't even be expecting it at all your first time through.
...
kek, pikachu fucking destroys him.
You guys didn't play sun and moon did you
Because that game is legit challenging even more when you turn expshare off
Also all the stadium style console games were high in difficulty
It's kind of odd when there were quite a lot of Sun and Moon new Pokémon that were built for doubles including the Tapu's
>There's not a lot of good fighting types or even fighting type moves available to you at that point
you can catch both nidorans in the next rout they learn double kick relatively quick
you can also get machop and onix from trades
or you can catch a gastly in the bellsprout tower and stop crying like a pussy for your incompetence
Colleseum being extremely bullsht doesn't stop other games from being hard user
Took me an embarrassing number of times.
This. I'm keeping my team on level with the game on purpose and sometimes there are some challenging battles.
I mean at the beginning I risked getting my shit handed by a damn alon rattata.
...
>coloseum
>bullshit
no it was what the baseline should be: teams with actual strategy behind them
You forgot pic senpai, but I know you mean pika and snorlAx
My filter was the flying centipede. No joke. Had to grind for the double jump.
What game is this? Looks like a blockier Fallout.
>used Poke Refresher to the max
>go into my Charjabug and spam my electric moves
>gets hit hard
>lives by 1 HP due to Poke Refresher
>win because of it
also Lurantis is piss easy if you chose Litten
This asshole was such a pushover in 3U compared to Tri.
...
>mfw this is literally the end of victory road in emerald, except instead of slowking it's a fucking gardevoir
Mimikyu was rough but this guy was the true casual filter
>wasting more time on leveling is a challenge
RPG's will never be challenging because you always have the option to level up. If you really wanted a challenge in Pokemon then you play rated battles online, but apparently that's for autists.
Ki Pulse.
Durability.
>lurantis
>summons a fucking castform
>sunny day
my ass is stilll sore.
>MAN WHITNEY IS HARD TO BEAT
>had a drowzee, a machop and a fucking geodude
>put it to sleep
>wail on it with Machop
>Geodude is the team tank.
Changing the mode from set to shift (or from shift to set, I forget) is what you need to do.
Its amazing how many people bitch about Pokemon being easy yet leave on the OPPONENT IS SENDING OUT _____ DO YOU WANT TO SWITCH TO SOMETHING THAT FUCKS THEM UP baby mode on.
It made the E4 and Kukui into really challenging fights.
rest of evice's team is vastly better
after the skill swap he usually switches to gyarados for the EQ combo
Geodude basically buttfucks the entire Johto region. First three gym leaders can't handle rock pokemon at all.
or you use something with decent defense that resists rollout...
plus, you can always make it miss.
...
...
>RPG's will never be challenging because you always have the option to level up.
This is what pokemon fans ACTUALLY believe
>trade Bellsprout for Onix
>Fucking brock it up with Onix and Geodude.
Lurantis holding that thing that let's it use Solar Blade in one turn and calling Castform for sunny days was pretty good user
...
It was hard for several reasons
>most people playing through were little kids who only used the starter and spammed stab attacks
>miltank is a rather bulky Pokemon and can hit hard for that part of the game
>miltanks moveset actually had some sort of thought into it, attract was very likely to work on your starter cause of the 75/25 split, stomp can flinch lock you, rollout can build crazy momentum, and milk drink prevents you from whittling it down cause it can heal
Yeah to anyone who uses any semblance of strategy it's not hard but for kids trying to brute force the game it's a huge wall.
FUCK
I beat Emerald last week, and you just reminded me of those fuckers.
Closest I had come to losing outside of Juan's bullshit Kingdra. Survived with 1 pokemon.
Literally this whole fucking franchise.
>sun and moon are hard
No its not and removing gyms for totems is lame 3 random poke battles is shit compared to gyms.
still harder than gyms
You are small time
Just my personal experience, gyms never gave me trouble but I had trouble against Totem-Wishiwashi and Totem-Mimikyu.
Also gyms were getting old. They're rumored to come back in Stars though, I hope they keep trials too and have them both.
...
Gyms have been lame 3 random pokemon battles for two gens now. Totems are new and fresh, and the 2v1 format allowed for some cool synergy. Don't even pretend that you preferred the gyms we had in XY.
The kahuna battles are also pretty decent, and its nice that the early kahunas come back with better teams late game. In fact, every character ends up having great teams. When you encounter the captains in the battle tree they use some crazy smogon shit.
The first Rayman was brutal.
>They're rumored to come back in Stars though
Do people on Sup Forums still believe in the Stars port on Switch? Good grief.
I was skeptical at first but the fact that tons of news sites are reporting on it and the tranny that leaked it also leaked a few other things that ended up being true (namely GotG Telltale which everyone laughed at but ended up being real), it's hard to deny at this point.
>bongo hills had 6 fucking levels
God, what were they thinking?
Not really, since GF just announced that they're excited to develop on the Switch in a recent interview. Makes no sense to use the language they did if they're already working on a title.
