He decimated the game so hard that people (myself included) cancelled their pre-orders until the review embargo lifted.

Of course it was a disappointing, people have been waiting for the game for almost a decade. There's no way it could have not been a disappointment.

Honestly, after the XIII series I expected very little from XV and somehow got even less.
How it's been so well received is kind of beyond me. It's not outright terrible, but it's not good either.
