What went right?

What went right?

...

Everything. Except the festival plaza. I miss the PSS.

the marketing

If we're talking sales I'd say Gen 1 pandering and spillover hype from Pokemon GO.

I'm going to say it: I dislike the ride Pokemon. The games always harp on about the bonds between trainer and Pokemon, but now they just throw nameless Pokemon that we can't use for battle or even get Pokedex info from. HM slaves may have taken up two slots in my party, but they were still mine.

As long as HMs are gone I'm happy.

Waifus.

This
If we're talking about the games, absolutely nothing except ride and pelago. And some waifus

I hate how we can't catch the random Pokemon that models in the world now. They just stand there and make their noises at you and you can't do anything about it.

This game is nothing but best girls.

Everything but the festival plaza.

How long until that one autist that screams about shills and how some posters are the voice of truths since they talk shit about the games pops up? He also has to post those retarded screencaps or ms paint pictures.

>walking Pokemon returning in Stars

Fuck I may have to buy a Switch.

...

Difficulty not being piss easy

Fuck the Battle Tree. I can't get past 40 battles.

>not being piss easy
What did he mean by this?

>2 hours in
>Still being led around the fucking town by my chad cousin and this boring mary sue bitch with a duffel bag

Will Nintendo give me a refund?

>lillie
>mary sue

wat

>not liking the good cutscenes this time

Autism.

What's your team?

Not piss easy. You can't just plow through every battle, and some of the totems fug ur shit up

thats a cute boy

>lillie
>mary sue
>at any capacity
Play the game before you start complaining

...

...

Marketting, Waifus, streamlining in a lot of good ways, a story that didn't wall of text bore me to tears entirely, multiple of each legendary for trading purposes.

What bugged me:
No wondering pokemon
No extensive post game or reason to travel through old routes

I'm still compiling a list

I just completed the pokedex, all 300 registered, and now i'm feeling the slow burn of just faffing about wasting time looking for shinies.

I can't tell why I spent more of my time in Sapphire post game than this game so far.

Anyone tell me, what do I even have left to do now?
Besides autistic breeding simulations

Autistic BP grinding, I guess. I'm asking myself the same question since I'm close to completing my dex.

Its kind of an empty feeling
Sure I got a shiny charm (and found me a shiny horse on the same night) but not needing to open a pokedex again feels a little sad.

Why the fuck haven't they just put in a VS seeker again?

How about a villain boss with more than three pokemon?

>GF
>not removing good features from every new installment

The crappy UB quest postgame took a toll on me. I barely have the will to finish this game.

Also waifus (male)

The quest is fine. You get to see Looker act like a retard and there's some indirect confirmation of the 2 timelines theory. The only part that sucks is having to catch 4 of UB-04

Pokemon Go sparked extra interest in the game. Other than that, it's another shitty game freak release on the 3DS. I fucking bought a 3DS for pokemon, I'm goddamn tired of Gamefreak's shit.

>lillie
>mary sue
youre fucking retarded

no much. the game is basically a cutscene simulator.

The fact that it takes an hour to actually start the game is kind of shitty but after that the cutscenes aren't that bad. At least since the games aren't sprite-based they can actually be somewhat cinematic about them.

I caught a Mudbray and literally plowed through every fight up until the E4 using just that and my starter, just like every pokemon game really.

literally everything

>now
what fucking games have you been playing

>lillie
>mary sue

>kukui
>cousin

fucking lol

pokemon has only gotten easier and easier and for younger and younger audience.

it didn't go well.

literally nothing, appeal to normies & kids growing up with ipad maybe. Somehow managed to fuck up the game even more with all the tapus

Everything.
Gen 6 got the franchise off its ass and making significant advancements again, gen 7 continues that trend by leaps and bounds.

tn: I only played Pokemon as a wee babb and so think the older games were actually more challenging because my retarded babby mind had more trouble with them than I do now

Actually try next time.

>the most linear and objectively handholdely games in the series
>casualization is kicked up a notch even more (for example displaying what moves are super effective or weak when fighting the same pokemon a second time)
>trials were a step down from gyms
>still easy (only harder than x/y and oras which is barely saying much)
>a lot of the new pokemon introduced were trashmons
>godawful rival
>team skull is a shittier version of team rocket
>pisspoor postgame
>kanto pandering is even worse than x/y
>ultra beasts are a retarded concept and feel horribly out of place in the series
>festival plaza is worse than pss
>super training removed

Only upside is the new amount of cute girls.

HGSS and Platinum will always be the best in the series despite their flaws.

Get fucked alolabortions.

They put pantsu on the 3D models, or so I've heard.

also

>cutscenes every five minutes

desu famalama, I just enjoyed a break from the 8 gyms and elite four structure and increased difficulty. I probably have a skewed opinion cause I haven't played Pokemon without nuzlocking since diamond but I really enjoy this one over the last 4 releases

...

>casualization is kicked up a notch even more (for example displaying what moves are super effective or weak when fighting the same pokemon a second time)
Yo, what's Drapion weak to and what does it resist?

Also SMT is doing just fine with the system.

>what went right?
Even more emphasis on bonding with your mons, the care system, even if it does nothing (haven't gotten too far in, not sure what the full benefit is, but removing status effects is already a HUGE plus) definitely makes me feel more attached to my team.

>What went WRONG
Too many cutscenes.
The fact that you don't even need to remember type advantages anymore.

Oh, and
>Litten's evolution line

The last gen was so shit that anything would've seemed good.

>The fact that you don't even need to remember type advantages anymore.
You kinda do. I never remembered them anyway. For every game I've kept a type chart handy.

Literally nothing
