It's practically already been done and it bombed hard unless you're a weeb.

That wasnt anywhere near as strong as a home console with a shit screen resolution.

Vita was a fraud.

Vita was an overpriced handheld. Unless the Switch is $500 at launch and has better marketing than the Wii U, it will do better. And it better, or else Nintendo will have to rush out a new DS system to replace it.

The one responsible for Vita's failure is Sony's lack of energy to push it.
EVERYONE praised the hardware, even Miyamoto, and rightfully so.

Vita would have been a huge success if it just had a bigger game library and something like Monster Hunter to sell enough systems to form an attractive ecosystem for devs. Biggest waste of good hardware ever.

Vita has tons of games. They're just ports from other systems.

Except the Vita has the overpriced Memory Cards while the Switch will most likely use something like SD or Micro SD cards.
And it will have the ability to play fullscreen on TV while the Vita, despite having a built-in ability for that, never had the cable/addon release because Sony wanted to jew people out of it with the PSTV.
And the Switch won't have the OLED screen which inflated the Vita's price because MUH GRAFISK despite most people not giving a shit about that on a portable.

And Nintendo fans are used to weeb games, unlike Sony who wants to make their consoles have a mature and western image which attracts a lot of people who are not okay with "weeb" games.

I do have a Vita and like it due to buying it for weeb games, but I admit people who wanted more things like God of War, Killzone, Uncharted, etc. were severely dissapointed with the console since support from western developers is too little. And I don't see why the fuck they chose to not release a HDMI cable or whatever when the PSP had composite option and the Vita does have video out capabilities. But nope, let's instead just release that as a separate console, while also trying to sweep the Vita under the rug.

Vita owner here, please don't group us together with the blunder the Switch will be. The Vita may have been infamous, but at least it has games

Vita bombed because the memory cards cost more than the fucking handheld itself. A 64GB Vita card costs over a hundred dollars while a 64GB SD card costs a lot less.
