BF1 is pretty much just a WWII shooter pretending to be a WWI shooter
Am I the only one that liked rising sun?
medal of honor 1 was awesome i had tons of fun beating it all the way through
no, though I was a dumb kid and I could never get far in that game so I just played the multiplayer with bots
>fwip
Red Orchestra 2, my friend. Play it.

>Red Orchestra 2
>Traction Wars
>Iron Clash
>Festung Europa
>Days of War
>Battalion 1944
>Day of Infamy

>ywn be hyped again by a game intro again
this shit makes me want to kill nazis every time, no politics or anything involved.
as much as i found the game awfully linear and kinda low framerate, i really liked playing the game's campaign numerous time along with multiplayer against bot, i got a lot of good time with this game
Medal of Honor has always had a great soundtrack. The sound design was ahead of its time too.
nah im sick of that shit
give me sci-fi stuff all day
Rising Storm IT AIN'T ME edition soon
Let's skip straight to World War 7
Is that the one with the genetically engineered cat girls vs the pedo federation of mars?
thread theme:
>I think it's time we go back to WW2 shooters
No
Anything fucking else but this shit, unless it's the RttCW or something else with alternative history and WHAT IF NAZIS HAD GIANT FUCKING ROBOTS
No, that's WW6 ~R Extend Edition
We need to go back.
...
As Captain Prince once put it, it's not hard to improve on garbage.
Reminder the Western front mod for RO2 just released their Winter maps.
The Post Scriptum mod for Squad seems to be coming along nicely, hopefully being a mod for an early access game doesn't fuck it over massively.
IT AINT ME
YOU'RE JIMMY PATTERSON!
MOHAA comfiest multiplayer?
Ubersoldier
as long as it's not paint by numbers modern shooter formula
Noticing a distinct lack of best song.
youtube.com
Always loved Frontline. Played Rising Sun, too, but never enjoyed it as much as Frontline. Are the Playstation games worth checking out?
THIRTY SECONDS!
is hidden and dangerous 2 any good
'Snowy Park' was spooky as fuck
yes. It's kind of clunky sometimes but it's really fun
oh god I remember how fucking unbelievably sick of them I was. even sicker than I am of modern warfare shooters now. not sure if I want them back yet. holy shit I remember how refreshing MW 1 felt. I don't think I'm ready to go back yet.
>playing ww2 shooter
>Russians have enough equipment for all their troops
HEY GUYS
I GOT A GOOD ONE
WHAT DO YOU GET
WHEN YOU MIX A NAZI
AND A COCKROACH
I need to record and encode better...
i wanna play as the guy armed with a flag and nothing else
Is that MOH Airborne?
I fucking loved that game.
Fox engine would make a God tier vietnam simulator.
yes
i enjoyed airborne
Don't mind me, just posting best song from best game
will it scratch that tactical shooter itch
does it run on modern systems without issue
it looks promising
I always found Frontline's intro to be really inspiring
youtube.com
In call of duty: finest hour, you started with a clip of bullets and had to pick up a gun off of someone else.
it feels a bit tactical, yes. Don't expect your squad to breach into a house in a cinematic style. you can choose 4 soldiers and play as any of them anytime you want. it feels a bit like an RPG because there's like 20 soldiers to pick and every one of them as a backstory that you can read and different skills (some of them are good at giving first aid while others are good snipers, etc). there's a lot of variety in the missions and the combat feels really good in my opinion. And i think it does run in modern systems. last time i played it was on win7.
EVERYONE STOP WHAT YOURE DOING RIGHT NOW AND ONLY POST SOUNDTRACKS FROM WW2 GAMES!

>tfw the same fucking guy did the music for the MOH games and COD1
MOHAA made that man's career.
>that fucking opening
Any of you remember this poor bastard?

Damn I remember being retarded as a kid and spending hours on this mission, could never save this poor guy from blowing himself up.

>that part in Airborne where this song kicked in
Hell, Airborne had a lot of songs from Allied Assault in it. Am I the only one that loved Airborne despite it being a very 7/10 game
>the never ending sound of those knifes flying by your head
Still haunts me to this day.
I want more alt history stuff like The New Order.
BF1 is a good game. I really, really enjoy Operations. I just feel way more immersed in the game and people tend to be more into squad play. I hope they expand upon it big time. WW2 would be a better setting for it, yet I hope they open up the maps way more.
The current maps in Operations feel super narrow. and I don't like the idea of spawning in vehicles that is already in the air. I wanna take off like I did in BF2. Remember those huge maps like Dragon Valley and Kubra dam where you could just spawn somewhere random on the map and not meet anyone? I liked that. It gave way more room to maneuveor. More vehicles like large bombers, battleships, carriers and so on would be awesome. Doubling the amount of players would be nice too.
Yet I doubt that's what's gonna happen. People are so fuckin braindead they have to be in contant action or else they don't wanna play, so developers try to cram more and more people into an area.
only closet faggots would use that post as a response.
>lets make a game where the nazis won WWII and set it in 1950's america
>and shit all over it
This game should have been amazing
oopsey, you got me :333
>urge to play Rising Sun and European Assault
>shitty i3 can't run PCSX2
>can't find a pirated PS2 in good state
>new PS2s are overpriced as fuck in my shitty country
>No new WWII shooters where you play as the good guys.
CoD and UO had amazing British levels.
What the fuck are you talking about?
Are there any good WW2 games where you get to drive a tank around that aren't from the DOS era or WarThunder?
Because I'd like to play something a little more impressive than old DOS games and something less shitty than WarThunder.
Games where the Nazi's win or the U.S.S.R. invades America are always fun. Freedom Fighters and World in Conflict are two of my most loved games. I still play them from time to time.
>call of duty: finest hour
no you mean in Call of Duty
fuck that watered down console port bullshit
Try Men of War Assault Squad 2.
which games have the best single player?
>RTCW
>COD 1 + UO
>MOHAA
does anything even come close to these?
and now WaW doesn't it's shit
I asked for a game where you drive a tank, not an RTS I already own.
Agreed. I was just really hoping for more of a classic ww1 setting game (More trench warfare). Also side note, why the fuck do they have a sandnigger as a medic for Great Britain side?
Soldiers: Heroes of World War II aka "B тылy вpaгa"
Not exclusively about tanks, but you still can drive, fix, load and destroy them, and it's one of the best WWII games ever.
Airborne is definitely one of the most unique ww2 shooters
Great taste. Frontline is masterpiece.
>WaW doesn't it's shit
I... I...
I thought you were a GEP gun.
Seriously, the Pacific campaign is fucking amazing.
I think the Russian one is also fucking great, though I hated that much propaganda, Russians weren't that good in WW2.
I dunno what the spoiler means and google translate doesn't work
We need more WW2 games set in North Africa.
>though I hated that much propaganda
The entire point of the campaign was how the Soviets were a bunch of savages with a handful of exceptions (Diary man and Dimitry, depending on how you play). If anything I think it showed the Eastern Front in a fairly neutral light.
Heroes and generals but you have to grind before you get to use a tank
I mean you can steal enemy vehicles in combat but if you don't at least have the wrench unlocked that won't get you far
It's original title, "Behind enemy lines". It's a slav game.
And no, it's not RTS, it more like Commandos with fully destructible and very interactive environments, inventory/resource management and ability to use direct controls like in original Postal or recent Brigador.
It's $5 on Steam.
from a gameplay standpoint it has the same flaws as COD4, which basically means the absence of level design in favor for running forward and spraying at enemies endlessly
>less shitty than WarThunder
>Heroes and Generals
user...
It is.
By just a margin, but let the facts be stated.
War Thunder is garbage. Almost anything is better.
You may be right, the diary cutscene got me right in the feels.
>Someone will read this
So, like CoD2.
You may argue that the first CoD was a better FPS, but I think it's a great game nonetheless.
COD 2 is lame too but not for that reason
COD 2 actually has a semi-open level design. It's kind of half-assed, but at least it's there
>Why do they have sandnigger as a medic for Great Britain?
Probably because there were over a million Indians that fought in the British Empire at the time? ffs, read a history book. I can understand complaints about actual niggers(although they're relegated to the scout class mainly, which no one plays) but Indian soldiers being in the British military at the time is completely accurate.
I mean don't get me wrong, WarThunder is terrible and somewhat p2w (air is extremely p2w) and definitely p2notgrindforamonth, but H&G is one of the most p2w games I've ever seen.
That alone disqualifies it and makes it infinitely more shitty than WarThunder Ground Forces.
>but H&G is one of the most p2w games I've ever seen
No? It has a large pay2progress element but almost any game with progression does nowadays.
Afaik the the only paid-4-privilege is the second badge slot. Which ,while affecting gameplay, is not as bad as you make it out to be.
Yeah, now that I remember WaW levels were really linear.
I remember mostly Pacific missions, were you are in trenches most of the time.
is BF1 good?
I think there was shortage of smgs and grenades, not rifles like in the infamous call of duty campaign.
