On one point I'd agree with you, but HAL and Nintendo collaborate so close to together that I don't think I see them separating ever. I'd kill to see a Kirby+Dark Souls crossover though.

What Nintendo did to Metroid's 30th was fucking abysmal, I'm still so disappointed about that. But HAL is in charge of Kirby's 25th, not Nintendo. I hope the Metroid series finds a dedicated studio.
