>play with opportunity notifications off
>many of them require obscure script event triggers that would take forever to figure out yourself
Did they really have to make them that hard to find without notifications? Some of them are literally "go to this random location for the next step".
Play with opportunity notifications off
The early ones are the worst offenders, I think it got far better as the episodes went on
I/O just doesn't give a shit about their hardcore fans anymore besides paying them lipservice.
Remember how they went "Well for our long-time Hitman players, in Absolution you can turn off the Instinct mechanic" but didn't change the fact that the levels were built around you using the Instinct mechanic to get passed certain areas so the only way to stay stealthy with it turned off is to either get incredibly lucky or spend forever trying to exploit AI with multiple thrown objects?
Good shit
Same thing happened to WoW. Back in the day the quest text said where you had to go. Now it doesn't. It expects you to check the map. So stupid that devs don't care about immersion anymore.
So that's why I feel retarded.
>It expects you to check the map.
Funny for you to mention that, because one of my biggest criticisms of the new Hitman is that the map could be a bit more detailed, or at least have some area labels, even if these labels were found by finding area maps somewhere in the level.
For example, in my first time playing through Sapienza, while I knew that I could get near Caruso by disguising as kitchen staff and poisoning his meal, I roamed around the mansion for a solid ten minutes before I finally activated the damn Opportunity markers because I COULD NOT AT ALL figure out where the kitchen was supposed to be
...
thats why you always come from directly behind them not the side
The biggest problem with this game [which is quite telling because there really aren't many of them] is the fact that viewcone detection is still supremely wonky. Basically the same thing happened to me earlier when I tried choking the hippie on the top floor, I was completely behind him but because he was getting up or something the animation doesn't fire. Same thing with stairs, subduing someone on stairs is always noisy and aggressive.
Bet you turned off Reflex in MGS5 too for being too casual dumbass
It wasn't the side, and it clearly said "Press A" to subdue.
It's just a matter of distance, this can happen in many ways, for instance if it asks you to get frisked, and you're very close to the guard, you will hit him.
Contract would've been failed regardless but I do agree that this shit is annoying, have had it happen to me a few times and ruined my SA runs.
Oh hell, so just subduing them would have failed the contract too? Good thing I steered clear of both and just dropped the chandelair on him and quickly ran out of the building unnoticed.
Only two left till Best Coat is finally unlocked.
now do it again by coming from directly behind her
Are you retarded? The mission briefing literally told you not to harm that NPC at all, you inbred.
Except MGSV literally expected you to turn off Reflex Mode. Did you miss the part where Reflex Mode being activated immediately nullified No Traces?
In his defense, "harming" is too vague a term considering how many layers of actually incapacitating NPCs there are in this game.
physical injury, especially that which is deliberately inflicted.
>do not harm, injure or subdue
>or subdue
>SUBDUE
Right
I've had enough
I do not remember subduing being mentioned in the briefing video
Would chemical sedatives count, then?
See
(You)
Alright, but considering that's not the video briefing, is that image anywhere in the game? I've just finished the contract and I don't remember seeing it
Hello shitposter-kun, how are you doing?
>this faggot and his webm's again
I don't know if you're retarded or what. Their family does not want them harmed in any way shape or farm. Last I checked knocking someone out by any means is harming them. It's not anyone's fault but your own if you fail to understand that and in turn fail the mission.
>farm
Guess I'm retarded. But still, it's pretty obvious "don't harm" means don't touch them at all, leave them alone.
...
...
>time-limited content
>Last I checked knocking someone out by any means is harming them.
I mean... is it? Of course if you whack them in the back of the head with a crowbar that is very clearly a harmful injury, but I feel that sedating them or subduing them "manually" is ambiguous enough to not quite constitute "an injury".
That said, this entire discussion is pointless, since the entire affair can be sidestepped just by waiting on the top floor of the office and dropping the chandelair on him anyway. Getting close to either is entirely unecessary.
Why is the Blood Money suit so fucking difficult to get, bros?
It's going to take 7 more fucking Elusive Targets to get.
Yes, knocking someone out is harming them. There is nothing ambiguous about that. You are stopping a person from being able to stay conscious through force. It's harm.
>this entire discussion is pointless
Then why did you start it? Or, if you're someone else, why are you even replying? Fucking retard.
It's 3:51 AM, I don't have anything particularly better to do with my time, and arguing semantics on Sup Forums is oddly compelling.
So you're just retarded. Got it.
Why do you get so exceedingly mad when semantics are involved, user?
