tons of cut content just like NMS
other than that its okay
It's not bad, kind of short but fun sequences and boss battles. Get it on sale.
This desu
>triangle hunter
>the game
its shit
it's alright but there are some stuff that wasn't delivered at all. I was more impressed when they first showed it
I regret backing the kikestarter
It's decent. While I hate to make the comparison, it's actually similar to Dark Souls
>Oxygen huffing retards that try to play it like a hack-n-slash get their shit caved in constantly
>"Difficulty" curve, that's actually just making sure the player isn't fucking retarded and learns from their mistakes
>Little real consequence to dying (Respawn at the beginning of the area or at a checkpoint in the area)
>One boss is actually kinda difficult to deal with
Here's some problems with it
>Cut content. This is more of an issue for people that followed development from the beginning. In particular, a bunch of bosses didn't make it to the final cut
>Every boss after the western boss is a disappointment. Miniboss hell in the south doesn't bring much to the table, nor does it bring a boss to the table at the end
>A lot of maps aren't formatted for chaindashing, which disappointed me greatly. The visuals are okay (screenshots might look terrible, but they look good in motion), but the meta props scattered around everywhere can make it difficult to chaindash at times
>THE DIRK COMMANDER DOESN'T APPEAR ANYWHERE BUT TWO CHALLENGE AREAS. I WANTED A MOTHERFUCKER WITH A MINIGUN IN THE MAIN GAME BUT I HAD TO HUNT FOR THIS GODDAMNED BASTARD. FUCK.
On the flipside,
>They actually updated it from 30fps to 60fps instead of throwing their hands in the air and deeming it an impossible task, implying that they had decent programmers working on the project
I enjoyed it for what it was, but I was hoping for a bit more. Looking forward to Radio the Universe, hopefully it doesn't fall into the same traps that HLD did.
nah the western boss and the bird boss are both pretty hard
the frog boss is supposed to be easy and i dont even remember the south boss, but I do remember it being cool
final boss was decently hard as well
amount of cut content was unacceptable tho
southern area was miniboss hell. technically, you could consider the Archer to be the boss of the area since he was the last one before the underground Titan, but it was still a miniboss in spirit.
>Final Boss
>Hard
different strokes, I guess. I thought it was easy as piss
The archer miniboss and the scythe miniboss were cool as hell
Final boss was easy but only if you cheesed him with the shotugns
They were pretty cool, but I expected a grander boss that was intended to outshine them all after all the effort it took just to get to the south.
**Also, I would exploit the faulty hitmask for the reaper before the i-frame update dropped just to get a good giggle**
I didn't follow the game at all until release and only played it once it got the 60fps update.
It's great. I didn't notice a lack of content and thought the combat was great with a lot of ways to make shit look cool.
Also art design is A+

the story was destiny tier
except it was even worse because instead of just offloading all of the lore to an external website, there was no lore at all
It felt like a Kickstarter game.
anyone still have the version with the missing maps?
LUL you mean the version with the tranny cock for an opening? no such version with "cut content" exists
The game drops inputs. Don't let anyone tell you different.
It's fine when you're just derping around a forest, but when you've spent two hours on a boss hoping that your inputs will be recognized enough times to kill him, it's infuriating.
you mean tribes 2
>implying that they had decent programmers working on the project
>it was 30fps to begin with at all
>decent programmers working on the project
im gonna be that guy and say ive never had any issues with dropped inputs
Full disclosure: I haven't played the 60fps patch. It may have been fixed / improved.
The Dirk Commander is a bastard. That's all I really wanted to say.
>60fps update
Well shit guess I better get back to playing it, did they ever add the quick-dash button?
