Meme souls is dificult

>meme souls is dificult

If that garbage is dificult, I can't imagine these kids playing the pic related.

Arcade-style games are a Japanese tradition. Western players are coin-feeders in comparison and dont understand the joys of getting good enough to 1CC a game.

>Le grown up videogames

Either fuck off grandpa or stop pretending, you retard fuck. Nobody cares about your fucking ghosts n goblins I bet you havent even played.

I've played dark souls, and I've played GnG

GnG is the definition of artificial difficulty based on clunky controls and random encounters.

git gud

Doesn't work on your artificial difficulty old clunky games old man.

>waaaaaaaaaaaaaah I can't get past the first level

People think Dark Souls is difficult because the marketing tells them so.

...

SL1 playthroughs are basically the DaS equivalent of fairy bracelet runs in super.

only casuals wait till the end to take the bracelet.

Super Ghouls 'n' Ghosts was better, fuck you. The original is a classic but Super improved upon it in every way.

>ghosts and goblins
>difficult

You kids crack me up.

I'm really liking this /vr/ interaction

>Build bow x4
>Assign military
>Assign bow
>Build arrows

Wow so hard

>get instakilled by hoarde of dragons with +10 arrow immunity

Again I say lol.

Please, post hard games, so I can git gud in vidyas.

...

This. There are people literally too scared to even try it because they've heard it's hard. Souls series is punishing, but it's not hard; there's a fine difference.

i wanna be the guy
if thats too easy-
i wanna be the guy: gaiden
if thats too easy-
i wanna be the boshy
if thats too easy-
i wanna kill the kamillia 3

beat all of these and you are unstoppable

souls games are only trial and error. 99% of the time you'll die to falls or ambushes instead of face to face combat

Saying "Dark Souls is hard" is one of the most overplayed memes on Sup Forums.

i could say the same about the souls series man, also the souls likes to do cheap ganking alot.
honestly i dont get why u say its hard, try playing monster hunter at g rank (online) solo, shit is more brutal then the souls cos it requires skills since the monster dont follow patterns as much as the souls games do

Every single game you can name is trial and error

Souls games just embrace it

First post best post.

>random encounters
Most of the monsters have predetermined spawns, and then certain monsters periodically spawn off-screen from both directions. There's nothing "random" about it.

>t. played dwarf fortress with a tileset for 2 hours and got bored
Dwarf Fortress is a "Set your own difficulty game" anyways. It's not a very good example to use when talking about pre-determined challenges like Ghosts and Goblins or Dark Souls.

>souls games are only trial and error
All games are trial and error. You try, you fuck up, you try again; repeat until you've beaten it or mastered it.

C-c-could you guys b-beat this?

singleplayer? sure.

2-player? not even if my fucking life depended on it.

Difficult games are boring anyway. Only memesters play them.

>playing with friend
>he has 1 life left, you've only died once
>he dies
>game over, you both go back to the very beginning

done single and multi
its easy if you have a bro to play with, me and a mate played all the old good games together, we beat all the contra games at one point together as well

Untrue. Souls carries on a tradition of unforgiving gameplay that started with King's Field.

Modern rhythm gaming is harder than all your meme garbage. Dwarf Shitress included.

Furthermore, I'd say people have a lot of time differentiating different kinds of "hard".
KF/Souls is "hard" because it's easy to fuck up and get yourself killed, and moreso at the beginning because you always start with bad stats and no equipment against enemies stronger than you. Once you're fully equipped you're a rape train with no brakes.

this

if people think x is difficult i cant imagine what theyd think of y hahahahhahahahahaha

>rhythm gaming

That is too fucking gay, bro.

>All games are trial and error. You try, you fuck up, you try again; repeat until you've beaten it or mastered it.

Actually most games give you a set of rules to follow and fluidly raise the difficulty. They don't put you in a room with an enemy who can kill you in two hits with attack patterns that could potentially be impossible to dodge without having seen what the move does in the first place.

It's incredibly idiotic game design praised by those who think they are playing a hardcore series. It's literally an artless form of setting difficulty.

It's like if in Guitar Hero you couldn't see what lights were coming up until it was the instant you needed to press them. Sure you can finish a song after failing it, but that's for retards.

And that's what you are, retards. GnG is a perfect example of giving you all the tools you need and letting reflexes do the work instead of information previously not given.

I'm sorry this was a terrible post but now I don't want to delete it so you're all going to have to live with my garbage opinion why am I even alive

But this game inspired Dark souls

Okay OP I grew up with this game and let me say. This is the definition of artificial difficulty. As an adult I could probably beat the game in one sitting now, but as a child I had to leave my fucking snes on over night because THERES NO FUCKING SAVE.
For fucks sake its like you are supposed to beat the game. I was very young when I first played this and it was very hard for me. I found the challenge fun but the fact that you couldnt save irredeemable.
