Why hasn't this company died yet.

most people have shit taste

Appealing to the lowest common denominator works.

WoW conditioned a bunch of brainless sheep that think only Blizzard can make good games

Because they make games that

S E L L
E
L
L

To whom though?

wow its almost like they know how to market their products unlike 90% of this entire fucking industry.

gamers

...

Garbage sells.

So you didn't look up any Blizzard game in the past 12 years?

Interesting.

Why haven't you died yet?

Activision

>a game that wasn't comeplete garbage
metacritic.com/game/pc/overwatch

that's quite the opposite of complete garbage

>buh teh game sux
Your opinion is hardly representative for a larger crowd. Feel free to make up excuses to justify that like how most people are idiots but you know better

Nintendo and Blizzard, Sup Forums hates good and popular.

The true answers.

This & they have decent marketing. It's actually not even that great of marketing but they advertise everywhere so even non-gamers get interested in their games. Which is why all their games are filled with clueless nubs

>user score 6.8
>not garbage

>user score 6.8

>games have to be good to sell
>A games quality is representative of the sales
>no such thing as bad game can sell

OW is great, Sup Forums hates it because it's popular & western

if it was made by some Jap dev, Sup Forums would agree on it's quality

>It's garbage cuz I say it is

Sup Forums

>if it was made by some Jap dev, Sup Forums would agree on it's quality

The only people on Sup Forums who like it are the faggot weeb waifufags.

Game plays like garbage. Even TF2 has better gameplay.

>He believes in the userscore meme

>ratings matter when "I" say so

PC userscores on MC don't matter because most of the negative reviews are people bitching that it's unoptimized because it doesn't run on their 2004 laptop

you sound like a typical Sup Forums contrarian

here's your Sup Forums response. Kill yourself dipshit

>user score
implying user score has more relevance than a ton of people who review games games for a living

if all people tried to vote somewhat faily that would be great, but in reality they rarely do
the fact that you can see scores of "0" summarizes that perfectly

dunno. don't care about overwatch, but starcraft and diablo were pretty fun.

>pretty fun
That acutally describes Overwatch perfectly

Their more recent games are alright but I can't just play Blizzard games without touching anything else anymore. I current enjoy HotS a lot but found SC2 awful since Heart oth the Swarm, Overwatch too repetitive and Hearthstone too simplistic as I've been spoiled by decades of MTG. D3 RoS was alright for one season but is too static to ever play another season.
I wonder what they'll make next, it seems to have gotten harder and harder for them to make something decent.

Because they spend 90% of their budget into marketing and making short animation videos. It's kind of sad that they put so much more work into marketing shit than the actually games.

Just look at Overwatch, all those short videos that has been released after the game came out has obviously taken a lot more time and budget than they put into the actually game since release.

euhm Overwatch came out this year lol

Nice opinion you got there

Whether you enjoy playing Overwatch or not, it is a very high-quality and polished game, and that is probably the reason it sells that well.
You don't see that level of polish in a lot of recent games, even if they have a higher budget. Look at the sound design of Overwatch, for example. Every single character has their very own distinct footstep sound, and you always know which characters are around you just by listening. They even created an AI specifically just for the sound system, which decides when and how loud you hear which footsteps, gun sounds, hero comments or environmental sounds, to make sure that the most relevant things are always in the forefront.

You don't always notice these things, but that's just one example of how much care Blizzard puts into their games.

But TBC was 9 years ago.

Starcraft is kind of good nowadays. I hope they announce a new rts on the next blizzcon, and hopefully make it a bit slower this time.

If they have completely given up on rts, that would mean they have no reason channel money into starcraft, but it just got pretty big updates. I don't believe that they get any significant money from game sales at this point, so it could only mean that they don't want the community to die before the next game comes out.

Why couldn't they just make another good Diablo for me to play? They had a winning formula but they just had to fuck it all up.

At least games on battlenet work so that put them miles ahead of Ucrap.

name recognition and a skilled marketing team.

>popular opinions matter less than "journalists" who are paid to give games higher reviews.

Yeah, totally buddy.

Balance changes are just some number adjustments, it does not require much manpower.

if you think all of the dozens of people reviewing the game are all paid I suggest you buy a bigger tinfoil hat

>implying user score has more relevance than a ton of people who review games games for a living
I thought we established a long time ago that the paid advertisements for video games we playfully call "reviews" are not actual assessments of the quality of a game.

Hence the "10/10 it was okay - IGN" thing.

Anyone shitting on Blizzard just because "muh Popular is shit", You should all be Tortured and killed slowly in pain.

>*tips

Are you suggesting that blizzard doesn't make enough money to pay every single 10/10 a shit sum of 5-10 grand?

>12 years
Diablo 2 came out in 2000

You realize this takes about 5 hours of work in total for a sound engineer.

well wow is probably the best game ever made, so yea

Fpbp
