Lost Odyssey Bread

>decide to try it since it's free
>16 GB for a 360 game holy shit
>10 hours in, apparently still on disc 1
>had tears in my eyes 3 times already
Why is this game so good Sup Forums? Why does it make me sad more then any other vidya?

The guilt that you didn't support it in 2008 and that style of JRPG is long dead and buried as a result.

Only good thing about it is the VN sections. Don't expect anything else from it.

Literally the best JRPG of last gen. Glad people are playing it now. Writing is beautiful.

Too bad the gameplay is fucking ass.

>the funeral

I really should get around to finishing it, think I stopped on the 4th disc

>game is free
>please insert your credit card information

>Didn't bother grinding 2/3rds of the party, or even equiping them
>have to fight a boss with these chucklefucks right at the end, can't grind levels because it's right after the savepoint.

It's my own fault for not having multiple saves I guess, but it killed the game for me.

Turn based RPGs are fun. Open world action RPGs are boring.

>exactly the same combat system as FFX
>THE best turn-based combat system ever created
>ass

Uh huh.

get a cheap pre paid gift credit card. they work and you wont have to worry.

I have a credit card, but the last time I let microsoft have my credit card information, they charged me automatically for Gold and I couldn't get them to stop til I had to call their Indian support line and explain to a dude with very broken english that I didn't want the card on my account anymore

>exactly the same combat system as FFX
Not even true what the fuck. I love FFX's system but this is just bad.

>Literally theft

Should have sued em

It's literally the same combat system with a couple of bells removed and whistles added in their place.

So it's not the same. Glad we agree.

It was within their terms of agreement or something. Since I didn't have an active gold subscription, adding my credit card automatically made one for me, and I couldn't remove the card on the website because it had an active subscription attached.

So is this available for free on 360 or just the bone?

No, you withdraw you from the debate and concede, just not gracefully.

Both, once it's added to your account you can use it on either console.

I liked the little stories more than the combat/gameplay.

If you have the discs, do you install them all up front and never have to swap?

Y'know, aside from how immortals acquire skills, which entails annoying grinding with the boring characters.

You still have to swap them out, installing just reduces the amount of data the console needs to read during gameplay. On the 360 at least, no idea how it works on the xbone.

This was really annoying since a lot of copies had a damaged 4th disc, causing horridly slow read speeds and in turn slower zone loading.

Terms of agreement, in courts, mean fuck all. They can never over-rule the law of the land no matter how much corporations want them to, courts throw them out all the time. I 100% guarantee that your country and/or state has a law about hidden costs and transactions that will let you sue Microsoft, the only problem is that you'll lose money on lawyer costs and court fees.

Yeah, didn't take the bait

>Meet X
>Dies five seconds later
>I'm supposed to give a shit

I didn't, very

A levelling and/or skill system is not a combat system, user. And the Sphere Grid was shit.

And the user you replied to said gameplay, not combat exclusively. Get some reading comprehension

very piss poor clone of Aeris.

It's literally Shadow Hearts, because nautilus made it.

If you like playing immortals suffering immortality check out Planescape: Torment as well.

have you gotten to the grankids yet OP, they made me drop the whole damn thing
