Ordered this Jeanne figure awhile back and it arrived yesterday. Not too bad for $25 but the midsection joint is pretty unsightly. I decided to scoop her up because I'll never get the Bayo PAK and it's one of my favorite series. All and all a happy purchase.

Still waiting on that amiibo...

Most of my figs. Got some more in a secondary case next to this one. Not as flashy as the Sega one though, I must say.

AmiAmi is the best source in general for figure buying, but if you are an American then try out Tokyo Otaku Mode. They are actually quite good and have a nice rewards system. A lot of free shipping opportunities too.

The market is all about knowing what companies are top of the lines and also by knowing what licenses are lasting. It's like investing sometimes. You can see something is just a flavor of a month and make an assumption that it will die out in popularity soon. If you call it correctly, often figures of those licenses aren't worth preordering because they will drop in price in the aftermarket.

Avoid companies like Kotobukiya, Griffon Enterprises, and companies with very few figures to their name. These are usually mediocre quality companies. The best these days is Good Smile Company, but Alter is also very good.

Use myfigurecollection to gauge how people feel about a figure. It's usually a good site for finding the best deals for any specific figure. Plus, it's great for finding figures in general. Have a character you like? Search it up there and see what comes out.

Avoid buying stuff from Amazon, Ebay, etc... Only buy from third party sellers if you are really familiar with them. Like anything it takes research and a little bit of practice to get the hang of it. I've been collecting figures for over a decade and feel really at home with the Japanese figure market.

Eh doing basic calculations they usually turn out cheaper because of the cost of shipping from Japan + the bonus points you get from purchases at TOM.

I live on the West coast so even when it is SAL I usually get stuff lightning fast. $150 is nothing these days we've gotten to the point to where that's the cost of an average 1/7 statue. I still remember buying 1/8 Alter Arcueid new (non bootleg) for $40 back when it came out. Man how times have changed.

NP. What the other user said worries me a bit so maybe be cautious about TOM or at least compare prices carefully. That being said, you can NEVER go wrong with AmiAmi. They have been the leader of figure selling for many years now
