1. I don't trust modern square to do any of then justice.
2. I don't want remakes. I want new games. If I want to play the old game I'll play the old game. Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song is the only videogame remake I can think of that outright replaces the original, and in that case the original wasn't really a good game to begin with.

Fuck GBA version, ruined the charm of the SNES version with its more literal translation.

i think FFVI is the only one that would really benefit. there's a lot of cool shit i wouldn't mind seeing in HD and character variety that would be cool in an action RPG setting.

i think Chrono Trigger and SMRPG would lose a lot of their charm if remade.

SNES with a translation patch ideally. GBA version has worse graphics but it has an extra dungeon and a few new summons. the music is worse too but you can fix that with a patch at least.

Chrono Trigger DS is a good remake and not that hard to obtain. Still, a 3D one would be cool, especially if it had remastered orchestrated music, more endings, maybe more characters, more side-shit to do like an arena maybe?

I think FF6 has been remade numerous times for different platforms. I guess it could work as an action rpg but it would probably be better just getting a 3D world with turn based combat.

I love SMRPG but I don't think it would ever happen. The best you're gonna get here is a port for 3DS that maybe has better graphics, music, and more content.
