Can we all agree that Faith is for faggots who want to cheese in pvp?
Can we all agree that Faith is for faggots who want to cheese in pvp?
We can agree that anyone who takes Souls pvp seriously is a faggot.
When has Faith ever been anything but a joke in Souls? Oh, right, DS2.
>b special snowflake build
>get rekt by faith
>go onto Sup Forums to complain because you have no irl friends to hugbox your opinion and other forum sights might downvote you
I'm working on my Viking warrior build. Already got strength up to around 38 and dex and vigor in the 20's. I also like to use Carthus Flame Arc in combo with my Battle Axe and Bastard Sword.
What do I level and how much do I level it to strengthen carthus flame arc?
>he hasn't made a 50 faith 30 in build yet
Oh I am laffin
But all magic in DS3 is a joke
>a fucking lighting on a greataxe
>instead of a blessed weapon that needs like 15 less fai investment and gives pure physical buff
>instead of warcry
I've never had problems against mages pyromancers or clerics.
Just learn 2 roll and bait out spell animations.
>all magic
>faith
>magic
Pick one. Faith is not magic you cucks
So how is the DLC anyway?
It was nerfed beyond useless in DS2.
DS3 at least has god-tier support miracles like tears of denial or force that actually causes hard knockdown and sends enemies flying away.
>being this autistic
>>>/dsg/
DS3 Pyromancy is the strongest in series.
>not shitting out 1000+ damage soul spears
the only joke I see is your post
>get hit once by anything
>die
nah m8. magic a shit in DS3.
That's a garbage mage you have there.
Good DS3 mages have at least 1700 HP.
its not bad, but disappointing compared to previous DLC in the series
good area, great final boss and new weapons but shitty spells and armor sets and its just so fucking short
>lowest hp softcap
>instaheals
lol
>its just so fucking short
100% Ariandel takes more time than 100% any DS2 DLC. It's just way more open than any of them so most of the retards don't even explore it fully.
>can get 40 vig 30 att and 60 int and still have 25 more points to 120
you never played the game, did you?
Is it open or just empty?
excellent
it's a typical Miyazaki's DLC which means it's not a zeldoid like ds2 dlc, but a fairly open adventure with no puzzles or other shit
final boss is one of the toughest in the entire franchise, weapon selection is extremely fun and adds a lot of single-stat options for str and dex builds they really lacked
also has the best undead burg-like area in franchise
>souls games
>pvp
....ok
There's side passages, items and enemies everywhere so obviously it's not empty.
>100% Ariandel takes more time than 100% any DS2 DLC.
Nah. I liked DS3 and I liked the DLC, but both suffer from what listed.
final boss is tough only because it's a marathon. Three bosses in one, one right after eachother, each with their own lifebar, isn't very fun.
Ye.
The PVP community and balance ruined souls.
>Nah
I like the level of your counter arguments, fucko.
nope
took me only 4 hours to get every item and beat both bosses on my first run, but that was on a ng+3 character
DS2 still has useful shit for pvp like lasting buffs (if you spec ONLY faith), heavenly thunder and blinding bolt, plus pretty hard hitting weapons
Rest of the miracles are situational at best tho, and WoG got nerfed to the point where it's not even worth farming for it
the last phase is so tough it could as well be a separate boss and it would still rape majority of players
even speedrunning faggots literally cried on her because one wrong move and you're fucking dead no matter how many flasks you have left, unless you're grossly overleveled and still on first ng cycles in which case you have no right to even talk about the difficulty
stats
>counter arguments
>didn't make any proper arguments himself
just to avoid any further shitposting, let's check the average Completionist time on howlongtobeat.com
>Ashes of Ariandel : 5h 43m
>Crown of the Sunken King: 8h 19m
>Crown of the Ivory KIng: 9h 20m
>Crown of the Old Iron King: 8h 45m
There's nothing that would require countering in your post, kiddo.
post-nerf blinding bolt is complete shit, zero tracking, it won't hit a person standing in a middle of it
lasting buffs in ds3 are better (tears of denial for example lasts infinitely unlike denial which is 240 seconds), regen buffs in ds3 are better because they heal more relative to the typical HP pools, and you need much less investment to use majority of useful buffs in ds3, 15 FAI alone gives you access to almost all good stuff unless you want to be a dedicated healslut
depends if you want to actually use pyromancies
going 40/40 int/faith isn't really worth it if you just do it for a single buff
If you did you could make quite a strong build but would have to deal with less endurance and vitality which might hinder your viking
Not trying to boast, but am I the only one who found the DLC boss to be cool, but not really hard fight?
Bosses don't feel as threatening, when you're guaranteed to stagger them with every other attack.
decrease dex to 12, get str to 40, remove any points in int and faith and forget about buffs
equip millwood battleaxe, +10 that shit, make it heavy, use WA to buff if, and holy shit invest into vigor nigger, i'm in your invasion range yet i can wreck you with 2 swings while having almost twice as much HP as you do
your starting class is shit though and this cannot be fixed
that's only true for the first phase
second got you fight two enemies at once and the third got many attacks that are too fast with too much range to interecept
STR. What you need most right now is Vigor, though. Respec your stats and remove the points on Vitality, unless you're going to be using heavy armor. 20 Vit is useless otherwise.
Building your stats around a fire buff isn't worth it, since you'd have to invest into INT and/or Faith. But you could do it, if you're really determined to. Just don't expect it to be optimal.
She becomes really passive on the second phase and mostly does the long range ice "breath" attacks. She even lets you backstab her when she stars casting the healing miracle.
Third phase is the only really threatening one, because her black flame attacks do shitload of damage, yes, but she still has no poise.
dont bring a knife to a gunfight
>"viking" build
>uses magic
>uses weapon enchantments on axes
>when axe battlecry counts as an enchantment itself and overrides any previous enchantments
staggering her is only reliable in her easiest phase
in blackflame stage she starts getting out of stun extremely quickly and if you follow her she will just punish you for this
this boss was made specifically while keeping the feedback they got about lady Maria boss fight in mind and they removed majority of her weaknesses while still keeping her insane speed and adding even more varying attacks and even different combos with same startup just to fuck with your roll timings
>a game where the hardest boss is the player themselves.
I'll never stop cucking you with lightning stakes faggot
Demon's Souls
>Millwood battle axe
Is the DLC worth it? I just beat the Dancer, so can I access the DLC already if I get it now or do I need to beat the game again first?
The snowy setting does fit my Viking.
>Is the DLC worth it?
yes
you can also easily get millwood axe, it's in one of the first areas
stop shilling
Faith has stupid good buffs in DS3 though, which is even more important considering that spells are so awful.
There are two fundamental builds in DS3 PvP: R1 Spam and 1HKO. R1 Spam takes a weapon with an overpowered moveset and spams R1 whenever you get in range. It doesn't care about damage because it will always win eventually. The only counter is 1HKO, which uses a metric fuckton of buffs to ensure that as long as they can get a single hit in, they will win. There are no other viable strategies.
Eh I've been watching Praise the Sun win consistently with just about any weapon and it seems like he's just gud at reading, baiting, and timing
Just forget about the meta. I use the Farron greatsword unlocked in pvp due to that sweet breakdance moveset and hidden parry dagger, and I have a ton of fun pissing off both r1 spammers and tanks
