>sequel of one of my favourite games
>it's fucking mediocre
JUST
Sequel of one of my favourite games
>game has potential to expand on characters
>creates a shitty new character and gives all the attention to her
This little shit ruined the game
>sequel ends in a cliff hanger
I could give every other fault a pass if the true ending wasnt so FUCKING shit. god damn
>cliff hanger
Well, you know how's going to end.
And this is even more retarded.
I guess the only good thing we got was Maho.
>add 7 characters
>6 are waifus
I've only watched the goat anime. Is it right for me to jump onnthe sequel?
Who is the girl on the left she looks cute
It is,but don't.
The original game is really good.
>his favorite 'game' is a weebshit visual novel
Embarrassing
Why are the new characters clones of the old ones? I thought Maho was Mayuri and Kagari was young Kurisu.
Sure.
It's nice to see more of the original cast, but it's very mediocre, you'll be deluded.
The only reason to play this game.
Who the fuck is this and why does she look like Kurisu? I hate her already.
Am I right in thinking this is only on PS4/Vita for now? I was thinking of getting it but the price on PSN is fucking ludicrous for a VN.
There's a PC english patch.
Remember, lightning never strikes twice when it comes to Nippon stories. Don't expect anything from sequels aside from rapid degeneracy into fan service and tired anime tropes.
Watch the Suzuha ending senpai
it's equally as good, or even better though.
there's no cliff hanger though, it literally ends as the setup for the Steins;Gate timeline in the first game
Go away,Reading Steiner.
This is wrong
They forgot to explain how Mayuri sends a message to her past self and then they fuck off until Okabe saves them
Beta Suzuha best Suzuha
prove me wrong
Okey-dokey
What now?
>it's equally as good, or even better though.
No way. Steins;Gate is almost a 10/10 game. The plot is stupidly great and complete, the characters are great etc..
Steins;Gate 0 has more characters, and some of them are also nice (Beta Suzuha and Maho), but everything else was almost bad.
Also I fucking hate how they mixed the old art with the new one (like Kurisu or Mayuri in school uniform), it feels like a very rushed game.
I said wrong,user
its a sequel not a expansion to the original game.
did they did get lost in time that they run out of fuel and how far. how did okabe reach them? what happens to that okabe that goes back in time after he hands off the battery. does he just go back to 2035 or whatever?
>okey-dokey
What did she mean by this?
Tim go back to bed.
What was her fucking problem?
"What the fuck did you just about me you little bitch?"
Future Mayuri called Okabe's phone which Mayuri had at the time.
Did he got you,user?
Was he best boy?
Leskien>Daru>Okabe>Mr.Braun
his plot twist was obvious, but i didn't want to believe it because he was so likable, every moment with him was a 10/10.
he's easily 2nd best boy
HOW ABOUT THOSE JAPANESE SHAMAN GIRLS, LINTAHLOH
Why didn't Okabe give him the shaman girls?
>her twist at the end
Fucking stupid
I'm still mad
Leskien ending = best ending
...
pretty weird of them to include a gay route in a game like this
I liked her
>game
>board
It's not exactly new to the series
HEY BOI
>why is that slut wearing cat ears
>my feet hurt
>why did I say okey-dokey
>I wonder how I will get uncle on the time machine
>I wish I was at the lab watching my dad play eroges
but that's the girl version of Luka, sadly
it's not a sequel. If you played the first game, which you should have anyways the cliffhanger resolves itself
Whats with the artist spilling coffee all over his art and just saying fuck it its good enough?
MY THIRD ENSTEIN
Why the fuck was his english speech in text2speech.
They could have got a random weeaboo and it would have been better and free
HE'S REARRY SOMETHIN!
they just wanted to make his english sounds like a finnish person, which usually doesn't sound very good.
What about her english?
well there's no excuse for her
The only good things about it were the slice of life scenes and okabe dealing with ptsd. All of the plot was either contrived or left too vague to be interesting. Seeing worldline changes happen without ever getting to know how or why is no fun. What made the first game so interesting is that it was a time travel story with very few unclear variables, which is pretty rare. Here you take an action and then see a result and think
>yeah I guess after a thousand different unknowns that could end up like this
It's unsatisfying and makes it feel like the writers could've just done anything. And they did considering fucking Kagari in the true route.
I kind of agree. Too much Suzuha/Daru character development made me almost drop it, mostly because of Daru's dialogue.
Everything else was great though.
I liked it overall
Pros:
>Maho
>suffering
>Hyouin Kyoma coming back
>endings are longer and not just about love interests
>Daru being MVP
Cons:
>timeskips
>Amadeus and Mayuris friends are underused
>much less interactive
>annoying bugs and QA mistakes
Steins;Gate is cool and all but VNs aren't games
>Too much Suzuha/Daru character development made me almost drop it
that was great,though
WHATSUP?
maybe play the first one or at least watch the alternate endings on youtube
More games than lol threads, ecelebs and drawthreads
Weird, those were some of my favorite parts
Yeah, I enjoyed it but it's still far worse than the original. Hell, I got the platinum if only because it was so easy to get after getting all the endings.
I actually didn't like them turning Daru into some sort of really elite hacker dude though. I get that he was good at hacking and stuff, but he seems much more naive and cute than some sort of active underground hacker-for-hire. It felt really unfitting.
I liked the atmosphere but yeah the plot was a mess.
you are right about that my friend
You called?
>that was great
When it was actually going somewhere. Most of the time it was like
>Dad stop fapping and date Yukki
>n-no
and that got kinda annoying
Daru was a god in 0 though
They turned a fat fuck with an unhealthy anime obsession into an actual character, and also the most reliable character in the game.
Never trusting Steiner's shit taste again. Waited a year for this sequel, i can't believe it.
>Chaos;Head as his favorite
You never should've
>play this
>it's great
>oh hey there's a sequel that everyone says is not quite as good and ends on a cliffhanger
>they're actually doing a new game too maybe I should get the sequel first
>new game comes out
>it's shit
dodged a bullet on that one
>I actually didn't like them turning Daru into some sort of really elite hacker dude though.
He managed to hack SERN in record time even on the alpha line
I said I knew he's good at hacking, it's just that that is entirely different from having an underground job doing illegal things on a daily basis to make money.
The list keeps getting longer
Why is the art so inconsistent in this game?
One second Okabe looks normal then in another he looks like he has the downs
>Okabe has to jump 3000 times to get back to the past.
>Oh shit this is gonna be goo-
>he does it in a matter of a dozen lines and that's it
Flaccid as fuck
>he does it in a matter of a dozen lines and that's it
and the writer just gives you a "ive been through alot" to explain everything that just happen
lazy ass writing
if Nae can do it with no problems i doubt Okabe would have trouble with it
That wasn't the point of that post user.
>love Battle Engine Aquila more than every classic game, maybe my favorite game
>there is about 4 guys on Earth remembering the game at all
>no sequel in sight
>I will never ride on top of enemy transport shooting down fighters ever again
I absolutely loved it all even though there were notable flaws and you can't make me stop loving it.
Do you think Kurisu makes those threads to complain she is not in the game?
She's in one for one brief worldline...
I finished it last night and thought it was one of the absolute best videogame story I ever read.
It doesn't matter if the true ending end on a cliffhanger because it really isn't one, you know what happens anyway, and the real final ending is in the first game, which makes perfect sense.
If anything the only flaw of this game is how they didn't explain how she came about.
Yes. She also gives herself compliments while posing as user.
This is your drill instructor for today.
You perfectly know how it feels at this point though, it would have been a waste of time to detail it since he just do the same thing he did just before, time 3000 times.
Are you retarded?
I didn't thought I could hate a character more than Moeka but holy shit they dropped the ball with this.
They also redeemed Moeka with Twin Automata so now there's no contest for worst girl award.
Yes, hello.
The game was dogshit but not explaining Kagari has nothing to do with it
I'm amazed people don't understand that it was just a coincidence she looked like Kurisu
They could have said that it was a perfect time leap machine and that it required just 1 jump and it would have had the same overall impact without relying on bad writing to fix it.
It's the goddamn future and they're building time machines that can travel million of years to the past, nobody would argue about a 25 year time leap.
The whole point of the scene was to show Okabe getting his shit back together and making the decision to go through a lot of bullshit to get back. Sounds painful, but we're just given a blank time-skip instead of actually see him go through even a portion of that trial. All they do is say, "Well, that was really rough!" but since we don't see it, all impact is lost. I'd call you retarded for considering that anything other than terrible.
>you know what happens anyway, and the real final ending is in the first game
you have no idea if they failed or not or if those two are the real two that actually did it. Just like how there is a shitload of timelines in beta and this instance happens to be it?
>Game is literally a fandisc
>W-Why wasn't it a completely new sequel!?
Don't get me wrong, I would have loved one too, but since its reveal it's been known that it was a fandisc. It was meant to expand on Steins;Gate instead of continue it, as Steins;Gate is already finished.
Here's bigger resolution. I actually took a few vita screenshots and stitched them together.
>>Game is literally a fandisc
But that's fucking wrong.
It's meant to tell you what happens in the worldline where Okabe gives up after the first failure going back in time and accidentally killing Kurisu.
This is canon. Everything that happens in this leads to him sending himself that d-video in the future so his past self in the first game will finally snap out of it and go try again.
>You will never enjoy playing darling
That isn't true
The game keeps dropping tons of interesting plot lines and the only ones remaining are the Kagari ones, which are both dumb and boring
Amadeus, Kagari and Kurisu's laptop have the exact same plot significance and the same contribution to the overall plot
90% of the nonSoL scenes are "Oh no bad evil guys are getting information from Kagari/Kurisu's laptop/Amadeus and world war 3 is starting"
90% of the SoL scenes are "Oh no Kagari has no memories" and DaruxYuki scenes, which are also ruined thanks to the very complex mindhacc facial surgery twist
Kagari singlehandedly ruins the entire plot
They could have expanded on Berlin Wall Timeline
They could have expanded on the Valkyrie organization
They could have expanded on Amadeus
S;G0 is just wasted potential
>This is canon
Fandiscs usually are canon user
They're created by the people who made the game to expand the story in some way. Whether or not it's straight porn, extra post-game routes, or a branching story set entirely in a new genre for whatever fucking reason, they're all canon.
>S;G0 is just wasted potential
I never said it was mindblowing / a good idea though.
I enjoyed myself but it only created more questions than it answered. I was pretty let down when I reached the final end and was left wondering about why Kurisu was capable of leaping world-lines into Amadeus.
