Explain how it won't save MMOs.
I hope its good
looks mad comfy
Why does it still do that lazy JRPG thing with talking portraits in the corner? You can't actually see those characters anywhere in the game world, are they ghosts? Are they talking to you through a cellphone?
>full sandbox
I highly doubt it. Every MMO claims this. Then it comes out and its just set quests.
If this game is able to pull it off, I will gladly play it.
Wow, it seems good...
And Dropped!
They should just make a great action adventure rpg with these art assets and art direction.
It would be glorious.
>Korean
Who could possibly fall for this?
>anime style
>cell shading
>sandbox
>hot key combat
>saving anything
add it to the bin of hundreds of other mmos who tried the same thing
>terraforming
that isn't terraforming, that is environment manipulation
terraforming is "earth making", like manipulating the atmosphere to breathable air
Jesus fuck, I knew there had to be a catch but that just isn't fucking fair.
>hot key combat
HAHAHAHAHAHA
I fucking wish the combat was that good. You don't get hotkeys, you get cards to summon pokemon. It's worse.
mmo or waifu simulator
I saw what looked like hot keys and really slow actions so I just assumed. My point stands though
>cell shading
>hundreds of MMOs who tried the same thing
I can think of only three. And one of them is the best selling MMO in Japan's history.
because everyweek someone shills a new MMO and its never heard from again

And that's why it won't save shit.
Me and my friends all got BDO now that it's on sale for 5 dollaryoos, and we're having a a lot of fun, I especially enjoy playing Valkyrie
Hey look
More weebshit
looks pretty good for a weebmmo
>see the combat
lol nope
Hasn't this shit been in development hell for ages?
>not out in Korean

Oh look guys, more waifufag losers pandering garbage. We're saved!

>Saving anything
They try to make the game that saves MMOs yet only DFO and Maple are alive.
>"anime graphics"
>saving anything
Pick 1
This trash has shown time and time again to only appeal to a limited demographic of absolute degenerates.
Pretty sure Pokemon, Final Fantasy, Zelda and etc have more than a limited audience. Anime isn't the problem. Its the content of the games. MMOs have been shit no matter the art style. If this game is able to go away from the WoW model and do something new, it will work. If it doesn't, then it will be forgotten.
>take some of the most normalfag games with more so manga artstyles and comparing it to 3d anime mmo #1357
So you admit your generalization was wrong. Good.
I just want a game like Vindictus. But there isn't one and its been 7 years.
You know this game will be trash when the same autist keeps making threads shIlling it.
Asker: The Light Swallowers (previously known as Project Black Sheep) was lauded as next getn Vindictus. Then it came out and was terminated after six months.
>cute anime graphics
Dropped.
You can't save a genre that was always shit
I like the meme that hot-key combat is bad and needs to be replaced with an action game hack and slash system. Aggro management, buff management, and gear swapping have some depth to them and people want to replace it with something easy yet at the same time lament the "casualization" of MMOs.
So why exactly was it shutdown? I'm watching gameplay and it looks nice, a bit slow paced, but nice.
Phantasy Star Online 2 is basically a better Vindictus. Without the focus on a broken economy.
Mmos where never good.
Korean mmos manage to put everything thats shit about neo gaming into one shit package.
Simple combat is good in an MMO. Any kind of involved RPG combat that could conceivably be viable in an MMO is just going to make it more boring and tedious, just like what you described.
What makes an MMO fun is the experience built around the combat, not the combat system itself, ever.
>Another generic korean MMO
>THIS IS IT GUYS MMO ARE SAVED!
AHAHAHAHAHA you retards never learn.
>PSO2
>Better
Considering no NA release and the Patcher sucks complete fucking ass.
No, no its not.
Heard it all before, it's not gonna be as good as you think
Korea.
An MMO could have involved, interesting combat and still have a lot of content to explore outside of combat. As it stands now, no MMO has either one except Dragon Quest X. A game we won't ever get in the west.
>TERA will save MMOs!
>FF14 will save MMOs!
>Black Desert will save MMOs!
>Tree of Saviour will save MMOs!
>Peria Chronicles will save MMOs!
Project Ark next, right?
>Nexon
My hopes aren't very high.
It's so sad to see most of these getting 1 aspect right(kind of) and fail in every other.
the economy is far worse in Pso2
The point is you don't need to use the economy at all in PSO2. You can find items or buy them with real money. While in Vindictus, you have tons of quests that require you to buy items off the market.
another korean grindfest and waifufest
>19.99 for underwear
fuck off
That's just the overall problem with MMOs as a whole. A true MMO needs to basically be 6 games in 1. But most only focus on 1 or 2 things and forget the other 4. This is why Old Republic was such a disappointment. A game made for hundreds of millions of dollars still only focused on story and raiding. With zero focus on exploration, PvP, crafting or coop multiplayer.
There was this webm of an mmo where when you keep going underwater there is actually layers of different liquids. That shit was cool
Zelda was more popular before Aonuma tried to force Anime aesthetics in
>these were all touched by koreans at some point and they all when to shit
How do we stop the cancer of Korean business affecting MMOs
Is he sleeping? XD
>MMO
Dropped
>Zelda was more popular before Aonuma tried to force Anime aesthetics in
You're a fucking idiot. It was inspired from Miyazaki from the first game. And Twilight Princess, an Aonouma game, is the best selling game yet (even though its also one of the worst Zelda games).
Member when Tree of Saviour was gonna save MMOs?
Not really. People were treating it as failed before it came out just like the people in this thread. I had hopes for it, but quit as soon as I confirmed it didn't have the open world of RO. And the horrible EXP rates didn't hurt either.
I'd still be playing the game if they just remove the quest/card system and increased the EXP rate on enemies. After so many quest based MMOs, I'd actually like to just smack enemies for a few hours a day. But not when it takes killing 400,000 enemies to get one level.
Interesting combat gets old fast in an MMO and eventually you just end up wishing there were an auto-combat button.
I've always been a fan of the lesser known anime themed MMOs, they have an active, loyal and friendly community from my experience and I love the clean look of them without uncessary shit added to it. The gameplay in this could be fun but the UI looks ridiculous, unless it's a feature of the game that I don't know about.
Any idea of an english release date or is it only the Korean version that's announced so far, and what exactly is terraforming?
>Korean mmo
PSO2 is not cel shaded
Looks worse than Skyward Sword. And that's a Wii game.
>Interesting combat gets old fast
Then its not interesting? There are many ways to make combat more interesting. MMOs just don't do it since it would take a lot of work. And more importantly, it isn't 'balanced'. Which MMOs keep putting balance over fun. Because if a class like Archer gets more interesting skills than Monk, the Monk players throw a bitch fest until the Archer is nerfed to be as slow as their class. Instead of looking for Monk to be buffed. Eventually you just get a game where every class sucks instead of every class being fun and varied.
I'm not talking about PSO. Especially since PSO isn't an MMO.
>character creation
>2 videos of basically the same girl
Why isn't one showing the male and one female CC?
In Asia, cute girls are the popular thing. If this was a western MMO, they'd be customizing a buff man with no hair and tons of scars.
People won't be interested if you try to pass it off as the savior of MMOs. There have been too many that claimed to be the same thing and failed.
It's a real shame that you keep putting that in the OP since I am actually looking forward to this and don't want a bunch of shitposters posting "HAHAHAHAHA" when it ends up not being great.
This, but I get the feeling it's just a reverse troll or someone who is too caught up in the hype train.
Yeah, I know. Asians are a bunch of sissies. Doesn't change the fact that it should be one video for each.
Looks cute!
MMOs are always garbage, but I've played worse.
>korean mmo
>weebshit cardgame
>saving anything
Okay but if you HAD to pick, this or Aura Kingdom?
I'd have to try Peria first but I'm not a fan of Aura Kingdom as it is, each of X-Legend's games just get progressively worse.
>Player terraforming in openworld game.
I can already hear the cries and see tears from all that griefing and trolling. Otherwise, i'm actually looking towards to the gameplay. Also love that anime style and how the females look pleasant.
The terraforming is most likely limited to only your instance or some shit.
The idea of a Terraria/Minecraft like world you can alter is really a dream. But I doubt an MMO will be as free in its terraforming as those games were. Since as you pointed out, it would be really easy to set up traps or ruin entire parts of the world for other players. And MMO players definitely focus on trying to 'break' the world.
eagerly awaiting it, since all mmos have been garbage except tera which is too old at this point
GUYS ARE YOU READY FOR THE SAVIOR OF MMOs!??! KOREANS BASED SAVIORS
It look like shit
Shit what happened to this? there were daily threads on this when it was still in development.
2 questions :
Is it free ?
When will it be released ?
It was a Korean MMO.
>believing any hype at all about saving anything
Honestly they bring it on themselves for jumping on the hype train.
I'd rather be disappointed or relatively pleased with a new game instead of having high expectations.
Kill yourself.

In Korea 2017 maybe, who the fuck knows when it will release anywhere else. They only recently started giving updates about Peria after years of drought.
Will we ever get a good MMO again?
If we do, I won't be telling Sup Forums about it.
ive been playing sandboxes for a long time OP
and not once have i met someone who would want a sandbox to have anime art
it just doesnt make sense
I unironically enjoy this game.
