Why is Nintendo so far behind in technology? Why is it so hard for them to make a console that is better than a PS4/Xbox?

Nintendrones will buy literally anything, so why waste the money on extra hardware?

That screenshot of Pikmin 3 doesn't fit your narrative OP. I don't see anything bad looking about it

Post your reaction to the Switch tech leaks

Why are next-gen so far behind gameplay? Why is it so hard for them to make a game that is actually better than a game literally made for kids?

literally everything is low resolution, its ps2 tier

Why are you posting bullshit info user? Those PS4 games run at at least twice the framerate you're showing.

Incompetence.
Other companies are simply better with more talented staff and they can get a product using certain hardware out faster than Nintendo can.
Nintendo probably started work on the switch back in 2014 when the Tegra X1 would've actually have been relevant, it's just taken them 3 years to release it.

When is the PS4 going to finally get it's shit together?

Thats from DS right?

>Press F
Nice try PCuck

>Nintendo makes actual videogames
>Sony makes interactive movies
Really makes me think.

>m-much graphics
what is game play nigger?

>Why is it so hard for them to make a console that is better than a PS4/Xbox?

If by "better" you mean "beefier specs", then it's because they don't want to.

It'd be better if it slowed down when it turned to back and white.

>doesn't use an image from xenoblade x because he knows it looks good

>Why is it so hard for them to make a console that is better than a PS4/Xbox?
It really won't be since it will at least have games. Even the Wii U had games, it just stopped getting them early because of the hurried Switch development and because the Wii U was selling like shit due to a really bad attempt at innovation.

It's expensive.
Vidya is their only source of revenue.
They don't want to eat expensive R&D and then still sell consoles at loss.

Nintendo typically rolled out very inexpensive hardware for their consoles. Even the SNES actually had a weaker CPU than the Genesis despite being more powerful in other areas. They were incredibly fortunate with the N64 and the Gamecube with regards to the technology available to them at SGI and ArtX. Once the market expanded and other players showed up and more and more of the IP behind GPUs became gobbled up by a few companies, there really wasn't anywhere else for Nintendo to get these favorable deals from.

No, they just don't see the point after the Wii, combined with people spouting "GRAPHICS DON'T MATTER!!1!"

Yes they do, numbskulls.

Game quality = (Art direction x graphical output + sound design) x (Gameplay x controls x 2) / bugs

Everything matters.
