Why did people think this movie was going to be good again?

Why did people think this movie was going to be good again?

This and Need for Speed were the only good game movie tie tins.

Wait, it isn't? I'm going to see it in an hour.

nearly fell for your b8

nobody with a double digit IQ thought this could be good

>What is the Doom movie

Semper fi motherfucker.

Because the Macbeth people worked on this.

because asscreed only works as a movie
the games are just fancy environments with the same gameplay in every game

It's just Sup Forums memeing again.

It's actually been well received.

Literally who thought this? It looked bad from day one.

I think you misunderstood what OP is saying.

The asscreed movie is doing bad in reviews.

Same reason they think the Warcraft one is good.

They are just rabid fagboys.

Prince of persia was decent, so some people had hope
Then i kek'd

t. retard that has no connection to the real world anymore

As if Macbeth wasn't mediocre as fuck.

>nobody with a double digit IQ thought this could be good

I'm pretty sure people with double digit IQs were the ONLY people who thought it would be good

It got fucking trashed, what the fuck are you on?

I did, and i don't even particularly like the games, just thought it's a kind of series that could lend itself decently to a mute straightforward cinematic narrative and that the fact it had some original ideas, like the Animus actually actively training the modern protag even physically, was a good sign

Never expect too much i guess

>23% on rotten tomatoes
>well received

so it's just as bad as the games
nothing of value was lost

The director, and the first trailer wasn't that bad

>Got Trashed
>Assassins Creed currently 8.2/10 on imdb with 1,733 reviews.

Wew whats it like being retarded.

I said it once before and I'll say it again: the whole animus business is detrimental to a story like this. why wasn't it just about a medieval assassin instead of some mumbo jumbo about people's ancestors in the future? we'll never know.

>>>Assassins Creed currently 8.2/10 on imdb with 1,733 reviews.
>Implying imdb reviews have any safeguards from becoming shill central.

>imdb
you can't be serious
if you look for actual reviews and the rotten tomato scale you'll come to realize that this film has, in fact, not been well received

>imdb
>letting fanboys rate a movie before it is even released

retard

you can't make a good movie out of shit games

Salty Ghostbusters (2016) fans.

>actual movie critics are trashing the movie
>fanboys are upvoting it non-stop
>people with obviously no taste in anything up-vote because of brand-loyality and this is somehow valid criticism
:^)

DOOM and the first Resident Evil movies are ok

Everything else is garbage

Thanks Uwe Boll

What videogame adaptation hasn't been trashed by film critics? There is obviously some contempt by film critics towards video games. How was it received by fans? Some things like Suicide Squad are disliked by critics but liked by fans. And some things like BvS were disliked by both(unless you count last minute shilling on IMDB as liking a movie)

Why didn't they just set it in the Crusades with none of the modern shit? It would have given them a chance to actually make a good film. The modern day Animus angle only exists to be Xzibit-tier meta gaming while you game shit

I still like the first Silent Hill. I'm a HUGE fanboy of the series, i know how much it got wrong but i just think it's a solid horror movie

Angry Birds. Not even joking. It's a sad world we live in when mobileshit becomes the only critical and commercial success story in terms of vidya adaptations.

His post doesn't contradict the OP
Ass creed fucking sucks

garbage in, garbage out

you can't polish a turd

like lipstick on a pig

etc

Hos post said it only works as a movie, when OP's post is about the movie and how it sucks.

>he wouldn't fuck a pig wearing lipstick

so the movie did a good job at trying to be as accurate as possible to the games
