My local Walmart actually had one of these in stock yesterday and I bought it off of the rush knowing probably no other store in the US has one right now. Saving it for xmas. What am I in for Sup Forums? Is it fun? Is it an issue if I have almost no space?

Jaxson Hughes
its a monitor you mount on your head thread/
Connor Peterson
That's the PS5, dude.
Logan Kelly
Learn to close container tags you fucking waste of life. Are you saying all VR sucks?
Landon Taylor
yes, its a gimmick 100% i have never thought, "this game would be so much more fun if my monitor was strapped to my head"
Lucas Richardson
>What am I in for Sup Forums?
The Victormaxx Stuntmaster
Charles Watson
Idk senpai, I tried it at a Best Buy with headphones and it was bretty gud. Maybe it was just because it was my first real experience with VR, but it was cool.
Charles Parker
Rez Infinite's Area X is what convinced me VR is not a mistake. Get that, OP.
Thumper is also a great time. The surreal experiences are much better than the "realistic" ones.
Noah James
Why are there no fucking VR mmos yet. This is bullshit. I want to be .hack
Jaxson Peterson
this
the only raisin id bother with VR
Elijah Watson
Actually that's a pretty good idea
Will do, thanks senpai
Jeremiah Ross
>no other store in the US has one right now. My local Walmart has a ton of them, they aren't hard to find
Joshua Allen
Wait for real? Then why can't I order one from the Walmart site. They should be able to ship them I'm assuming.
Joshua James
I want to be sword art online.
FTFY
Bentley Perez
Sell it on Ebay for an up marked price.
Dominic Allen
Sup Forums likes to shit on every VR device and say it's a meme because 80% of this board's userbase are either children or 3rd worlders, so try to ignore most of the posts ITT
Best games right now are REZ Infinite, Until Dawn Rush of Blood, EVE Valkyrie, The Batman game if you find it cheap and don't go in expecting a full game. Personally I have put the most time into Driveclub VR, absolutely love it but some people seem to have problems with motion sickness for it. Definitely try the Resident Evil BH demo too, never been so unsettled in a game before I played through once and still haven't gone back to it it was so unnerving.

Looks like the only thing even close to an RPG right now is that Crystal Rift game, thinking of giving it a try.
Mason Martinez
My personal feeling about VR is that the best games will be the ones where you are largely stationary, such as games where your are in control of a vehicle of some sort (car, spaceship, etc.) I don't think the idea of being able to walk around in real life translating into walking around in VR is all that useful. For a real game, I think you'll eventually get tired and want to sit down.
That said, I was pretty impressed by the VR experience in PSVR. I haven't used the Oculus Rift or HTC Vive but those units are supposed to have even better graphics. For me, the PSVR were good enough for me to be impressed. I quickly played a few VR games and got an illusory sense of movement that I don't get from just playing games on a television screen.
If you've got the money to spend and are willing to take a risk on good software titles coming over the next year, keep it and be careful of the titles you buy in the early stages.
If you're kind of hard-up for money, it's probably better to wait another 6-12 months for more games to come out before you decide you want to plunk down the money for VR.
Connor Thompson
Rez Infinite in VR is just fucking cool It's literally the main reason of why I want a VR now
Ethan Collins
Fuck. I live in Tokyo and it's like a fucking unicorn here - nowhere to be found. I'm sick of Sony shitting all over the domestic market
Colton Ross
Gravity Rush doesn't support VR.
Henry Thomas
>being kat My god sony you fucking idiots, this could have been great
Anthony Gray
No games.
Sebastian Adams
This! Could be the PSVR showcase instead of lame driving games.
William Foster
The shelves everywhere where I live are stocked with PSVR, nobody wants it.
Hudson Cox
They're extremely difficult to find in the U.S., too, unless you want to pay scalper prices.
Jace Davis
>lame driving games
I agree though VR Gravity Rush would be fucking amazing
Benjamin Phillips
Are you in the U.S. and in a relatively large city? I'm in Houston, Texas and can't find this thing anywhere.
Colton Martinez
Are you saying there is an initial D VR game on development?
Noah Gomez
You can listen to eurobeat and play Driveclub that's the closest thing for PSVR right now
Sega said they would be supporting VR though and they own the license, would be amazing but I'm not sure how likely it is now that the series is done
Kayden Jackson
Is the ae86 in driveclub?
Nolan Powell
I was at walmart earlier today and saw the case had like 6 of them. Are they hard to find?
Logan Powell
user you got gimmick'd harder than yhe switch
Nicholas Brooks
No I don't think there's any Japanese cars unfortunately. There is drifting though.
Oliver Reed
Yeah, sold out everywhere online.
Easton Stewart
You better have bought the PS camera too, OP.
Or you'll be in for a massive disappointment
Joseph Gray
Motion sickness because the hardware behind it isn't good enough.
Camden Barnes
Walmart where I live has plenty of VR boxes too.
Blake Baker
I honestly dont ubderstand this meme at all. If you can play your games sitting at the sofa, than why the hell would you pay to play them on your feet and moving around?
Levi Rogers
>console VR
Xavier Fisher
You can play most, if not all, while sitting down.
I've been watching movies on it since it has a theater mode which is so fucking cool. I can watch them while lying down and it's like having a theater screen on my ceiling.
