Etrian Odyssey music is consistently fantastic. The first battle theme in EO4 is one of my favorites of all time. It has a pretty good regular loop, and after it goes for like 3 or 4 minutes it intensifies for something interesting in those longer battles.

I don't recall if that was one of the options, but I think the regular XIII-2 battle theme or a slight remix of it played when you had the XIII-2 outfit equipped. Of course, I was playing the PC version that comes with those previous game DLC outfits so it might just rely on that.
