I need to confess my sins.
I'm not into mobas and this is my favorite moba. To a moba player it must seem watered down and streamlined, but dude, all I want to do is teamfight.
I don't want to worry about last hits (unless I'm azmo, ragnaros, etc.) and I don't want to save up gold for little runes or glyphs that give me an advantage before the game starts.
Also the short games are nice.
I knew this game was "baby's first moba" as soon as I played it, I'm ashamed that I enjoy it.
What is fun about the other mobas? taking credit for your xp?
Honestly there's nothing wrong with this.
The "and I don't want to save up gold for little runes or glyphs that give me an advantage before the game starts." Is pretty much why I dropped League so quickly.
That being said, HotS making you unlock characters is still something I hate, compared to dotas just flat out everyone's always playable to everyone.
That, and there less complexity does get rid of some amusing strats.
But all in all, if all you want is the meat of the moba games then HotS is allright for that.
It's a fun game man,
Sup Forums is a bunch of teenagers anyway, fuck what they think
Didn't know you browse Sup Forums Drew
Either way fuck off
Stop this shit.
It gets boring fast and then I want to really challenge myself and do something mutli faceted.
So I play DotA
>Shitwatch characters
>Poo of Poocraft
>Starshit
>perfect
even horrible is too good for this game
It's ok but the grind for a new hero is fucking stupid. I don't have time to spend so many hours to have fun with someone new. Other wise it gets repetitive to play the same hero every match.
Usually the rotation doesn't have someone I want to play.
>MOBA
>perfect
Antonym.
there is a top tier moba with a skill ceiling so high, heh there isnt even anything to say. try it out.....if you dare...
hello, please dont use that phrase as your opening post, thank you

>Playing Dirt-a 2
So I hear you guys got Fountains and Talents now. How neat.
Yeah, Valve is casualizing the fuck out of Dota. I actually installed HoN just to have a more classic Dota experience because Dota is literally morphing into HotS.
>we want the HotS audience
>mfw Dota 2 adds Talents
I guess it was a good idea after all
I guess Valve wasn't content with just taking Dota from a Blizzard game, now they have to have more.
That isn't a MOBA its a fucking HERO BRAWLER
OP confirmed retarded.
I played this for 2 days and it feels like a Fisher-Price game.
The gameplay is clunky and matches revolve around map gimmicks.
Yup, they're gone full Jew. It's whatevs man, I already put 3.5k hours into it, HoN deserves some more players considering what it offers.
How did they go full jew, you don't even have to buy heroes in Dota.
Only played it for Oni Genji skin in Overwatch.
Fell in love with Fel Queen Chromie.
well, this is eternally relevant. pic related is vintage Sup Forums
You can play as an illithid.
>release Monkey King
>he's broken as hell and basically instawin
>"Oh hey, btw, here's this $30 Arcana for Monkey King, you know, the hero you're winning matches back to back with. You know you want to look like a cool super saiyan monkey while you're showing off your sick dota skills with by pressing Q and then right clicking"
>he thinks Heros is the perfect MOBA
Don't forget kids: it uses coinflip matchmaking like OW and HS and will NEVER be a true competitive game.
>Friend gifts me $20 battle net balance
>Buy Lurkablo and AzGul'Dan
>Have a lot of fun in just random games with Lurkablo
>Have almost as much fun doing top siege damage over shitter Ragnaros players as Not-Gul'Dan
I don't know if they're good or bad by this point, but these two are my favorites to play, with Dehaka as a close third. I also do Brightwing, and it's the only healer I like to play because I have so many fucking blinks.
I hate those brawls though, they always give me shit I can't play. I do NOT do Assassins at all.
I mean did they really think dumbing down their game is going to attract lolbabbies? Look at this shit
what happens when you level a character above 10
Nothing of value, unless you ABSOLUTELY need gold.
That isnt a videogame its a Videogame !
Yeah making you choose interesting build adjusters based on your opponents or current items is way more casual than clicking +2 stats every level.
Talents were probably the best idea Blizzard had and it's been adopted well.
>taking dota
Kill yourself, it was never Blizzards
They hinted at an uncapped account level based on the total of your heroes level instead of the 40 cap. So Epeen I guess
Well they nerfed Monkey King and he had less than a 50% win rate at all skill levels before it so I don't know what you're talking about. Also it's not like they buffed or made every Arcana hero super OP before.
>taking Dota from a Blizzard game
Of course the Dota babby can't read.
>Yeah making you choose interesting build adjusters based on your opponents or current items is way more casual than clicking +2 stats every level.
Yeah dude, giving someone FREE +50 damage or FREE +25 attack speed is less casual than giving them a tiny bit of extra health and mana with +2 attack and +2 damage.
>1000 at level 15
>2000 at level 20
fuck that i can get 1000 from 3 brawls no matter how shitty I do, for 1% of the time investment
Blizzard didn't invent talents though.
>HotS
A literal casual game.
In fact their '''competitive scene'''' which was always a propped up advertising tool by Blizzard is falling apart because no organizations care about the game. Even Liquid quit.
It's an actual decision that affects the game as opposed to one that doesn't?
>it's not a worm
Yeah its not meant as a viable way to get gold. Pushing people to play the same champ for 300 games with their daily quests on top of it would be absolute cancer
you sound like a moron, no one liked stat increases and they were completely fucking useless.
>'''competitive scene'''' which was always a propped up advertising tool by Blizzard
Oh okay, so it's a normal "E-sports" thing then, different from no other.
Hell, Even valve runs the entire Dota2 scene and gets people to view it by adding temporary trinkets and shiny models of 'items' for those that pay 50 dollars each year to continue the golem of dota 2.
Not really. Dota for instance has a very organic competitive scene which requires no money to be competitive but people will play it competitively for the sake to be the best. This is how WC3 was so popular and teams still existed when prize pools were non-existent.
You're fucking delusional if you think those god damned compendiums aren't the raft that is saving that dead in the water game.
Dota 2 isn't an advertising tool for Valve though, there's a huge difference. There's never a Valve logo at any TI event and Valve doesn't pay people to play their games unlike Riot or Blizzard who buy out the organizers or even pay players.
>no one liked stat increases and they were completely fucking useless.
t. 2k mmr
>#1 Steam game since forever
>'dead in the water'
Are you sure I'm the one being delusional user.
Besides there's literally nothing wrong with compendiums, but you wouldn't know that because you've never used them.
No. E-sports are nothing more than an advertisement tool, same as the Superbowl and sports broadcasts in general, even the Olympics (Which I actually kind of enjoy, though I give no fucks about sports). They can be as organic as possible, but nothing will change that fact.
>No money
Wat
Dota 2 is an advertising tool for Steam, Not Valve as a company.
To play Dota 2 you use Steam which features 1000s of games that they hope you buy. It's their game with the most concurrent players.
Just because it makes the player choose option A or option B doesn't mean it that doesn't casualize the gameplay.
You would be delusional to think compendiums are anything more than a amazing cash cow.
Of they never existed the game would still turn a profit. And the eternal truth is you never can pay for an advantage
They actually nerfed him the madmen, the guy who get's shat on by anyone with a single functioning eyeball.
>+2 stats is somehow better than an actual choice which can influence your itemization and playstyle
okay retard
More like Dota 2 e-sports is to entertain Dota 2 players, meanwhile every other e-sport is designed to advertise the company with a RIOT or BLIZZARD LOGO, fucking Blizzard knows HOTS is dying so hard they had to inject OW players into the game for a free skin.
>since forever
Stopped reading right there.
I only have one hero to level 10, TLV. And that was before their "rework". I haven't touched them since.
In fact, once I get a hero to level 9 I tend to drop them alltogether and move on to levelling up other heroes I own to level 9. Which kinda sucks because I love playing Morales but I need to get Brightwing to level 9.
If they never existed the International wouldn't exist either. they serve as tickets.
If the compendiums didn't exist there would be no pro scene hence no gorillian dollar incentive to play the game "Professionally"
The only fun I've ever had with an assfag is playing Cho'gall
Landing rune bombs with your buddy is the greatest thing ever.
>tfw friends only play league so there's no one to play Cho'gall with me anymore
It requires a larger amount of knowledge to chose the right talent for your current game and build than it takes to click +2, please kill yourself antivalve drone blizzboy
besides it being really fun and have a huge scene but it's okay, it's too hard for you
but there was a huge pro scene before they even came up with the idea, even currently there are dozens of pro tournaments a year without it. Do you even look this shit up or just say stuff you heard from your own ass?
>Dota for instance has a very organic competitive scene which requires no money
Now buy compendiums, goyim!
Dota has had a competitive scene before there was any money to be made in eSports. Simply put if you took out all that money from eSports only Dota would live, every other eSports would just die because there'd be no point in being the best at HotS or LoL.
This is so on the point that WC3 Dota pros who have never made it big STILL play Dota 2. Figures like PIS, Yaphets still play Dota. Burning still plays Dota. Loda and Fear have been here forever.
When does genetic avatar man become playable?
>lol poop jokes so funny xD
>better yet spend money and unlock our heroes and skins!
There were weekly LoL tournaments during beta, the players were practically begging Riot for an official tournament scene
The only reason people still play Dota is because it was around first
I'm a dota player, I tried out Hots cause all my casual friends play it and it's just....boring.
A lot of the shit feels like it's on autopilot, like I'm not really doing anything, and with no items there's next to no depth. This shit's probably more casual than LoL.
>shitpost
1700 hours say otherwise.
game ain't what it used to be partner.
as it stands the popularity and revenue are tied at the foot, valve maintains an F from the better business bureau. But whatever Dota 2 isn't a cash cow at all. It's really fun.
HOGGER WHEN?
Yeah it must take a lot of brainpower to choose talents. Just look, 3400 gold of damage or 550 gold worth of magic resistance.
The only reason lol is popular is because people actually think it was first.
The game is an inbalanced mess owned by a fucking chinese conglomerate. Every champ needs flash and everyone dies instantly when engaged upon without it.
>The only reason people still play Dota is because it was around first
and because it's a better game than league of legends
I'll never play HotS because you can never 1v5 or have as much power to control the game as you could in Dota.
>Buyback prevention revive increase removed from Necrophos scythe
Fuck Valve.
if all someone wants is the meat of moba games, they should just play battlerite
I miss that HUD so much
>better business bureau
oh boy an F grade from a scam company wew
I hate needing to buy every new hero with gold, but you can get all of the heroes with gold eventually and with regular play, you'll earn enough gold to unlock every new hero as they come out, even if you splurge and get them for 15k instead of 10k.
>1700 hours means you understand the games depth
Most of what you said makes no sense and the game has always been changing. If you're complaining that valve is a good business and sells cosmetics, okay I guess?
lmao
Dota is a second-rate Heroes of the Storm
I like the shared EXP thing in HOTS. Now you can actually carry a team of shitters you got landed with in solo queue. Do well enough and you can powerlevel the entire team up high enough to the point where they are actually competent.
Not only that, if you're getting completely fucked then at least the game will be over quickly since the entire team will be fed and you can just move on soon.
I doubt you can even do that in Dota 2 anymore.
don't feel bad about liking Hots. I racked up 2000 games in LoL before quitting, 2500 hours in dota 2 before quitting, several hundred games in HoN and smite, and the only mobas i want to play any more are Hots and Fractured space (which is barely a moba anyway). As far as im concerned, Hots is revolutionary in that it has fundamentally different mechanics to virtually every other moba ever. Enjoy your strictly better game user
>spend money to support the game and the pro scene while you actually get something out of it
gee
hey it's the HUD I am used to and both enjoy.
