>ftw too intelligent for Sup Forums
I haven't bought anything from a steam sale for over 2 years
they're all the same
nothing special
I know it was obvious since that's when the award voting started, but how come PayPal is always the first one to break the date?
>tfw not intelligent enough for steam sales
Because people happen to use Paypal to purchase shit online which means
>Cheap games = money for PayPal
...
>tfw too intelligent for steam
>implying you dont miss the flash sale days
b-b-but muh refundz
This might be the first sale I don't buy anything.
There's only two games I kinda want, and that's a pretty big 'kinda'. Quantum Break and Hitman. QB because I know Remedy will deliver and Hitman just for some real-world setting goodness. Except I still have the entire Hitman back catalogue in my backlog which I haven't touched.
I'm patiently waiting for publishers to discount their games by more than 60%
>set my nephew up a steam account
>told him and my dad to wait for the winter sales
>my dad got him castle crashers, terraria, and ultimate chicken horse all at full price today
>mfw he could have saved like $25 if he just waited two fucking days
>too intelligent for Sup Forums
>too retarded for real life
Hitman is alright but it might seem a bit short considering the story is like five missions long. You still have the elusive targets but yeah.
Just refund them and get them tomorrow.
>nephew has a weak laptop
>parents won't let him play mature games
>mfw going to buy him a steam gift card for christmas so he can go nuts during the sale
>mfw refunds will let him make mistakes and buy stuff he can't run without regrets
I hope either D44m or Fallout 4 drops to ~15€.
I have an itch to give money to Todd.
Shit, you're right. Hopefully he hasn't logged over two hours on any of them, but even then, I think he should still be okay
I've found even three hours is fine. Just do it now and explain it'll mean he can get more games.
rate my list please
It's shit
Remive cities skylines DLC
How does PayPal make their money?
>mfw $700 starting
Might as well buy factorio now.
It wont be on sale
((()))
Any specific reason?
The only DLC that is somewhat worth it is After dark
Snowfall and natural disasters have too little content.
Honestly, if you want a city builder just get Simcity 4.
Like 5€ on sale and it is a far better game.
I hope SHENZHEN I/O goes on sale. I wanna buy it for a friend
Poor friend
This game is fucking hard, even as a programmer
But its pretty fun
i have it already. but thanks for the tips on the dlc.
>22.12.16
When did they add more months?
He's in school for computer stuff so I assume he will love it or hate it.
doomb americuun
Probably love it if he doesnt get frustated too easily
The hardest zachtronics game so far
It almost saddens me a little seeing how excited people get over Steam sales when they are not nearly as good as they used to be. Not since they implemented the refund system.
>american education
>Full refunds for all games
>bad
K
???
you didnt answer the question.
I was also thinking of getting it for myself even though I have zero programming knowledge just for shits and giggles.
>already grabbed what I was after
>see this
I bet you're excited for the sale faggot. Too bad it will be shit.
explain
there is a steam sale around this time every christmas
you new to steam sales user?
giving the consumers protection against a growing market of shitty developers who openly lie about their product's content is "bad"
Also, where did I say refunds are "bad" now again?
I am excited as a matter of fact, especially since I know that if a game is shit I can get a fucking refund
>Not anything I really want
>Might get shit on my wishlist if it's under 5$
>The only thing I want is cards and badges
Steam sales are shit nowadays
just found out we're floating further away from the sun and that's why it's colder out now so that's why they needed to add more months
Feels good to live in a country where you can refund a product regardless of whether or not refunds are "offered".
This is how I feel, now that the deals aren't as big as they used to be and the fact that I already bought most of the stuff I wanted there really isn't much for me to get. There aren't many new games released in the last few years that I'm interested in.
I'll probably get something like empyrion to play with friends, I still want Rimworld but that doesn't go on sale.
Darkest Dungeon for €5
That's the only thing I can see myself buying. tfw poor
is REmake worth it for 10 dollars?
Yes. Plus buying it encourages more RE and old capcom games on steam. Win/win.
...
>22.12.16
We got a 22nd Month now? The fuck?
Murrica date
Fuck off Americans and your random dating system.
>no more fun events
>no more flash sales, community votes or daily deals
>all discounts are the same from day 1 and are overall smaller
I think I bought 2 games in the summer sales overall, and I'd usually end up buying 10 or more. They've just completely lost their magic.
I kinda want to get Total War: WAAGH edition but at the same time it's a waste to get it before all dlc is out.
Is this 'murican thread?
they take a cent on every transaction
Randomly closing people's accounts and keeping the money on them, with-holding it under the idea they can just state your account was suspicious, never needing to reopen it or reimburse you.
Wow, I cant wait to buy [literal who indie shit game] for [still far too much money]
I fell for this thing.
Anyone want to do some trading?
it's always below 15 eur on instant gaming (steam code)
idk how they do it but i just bought it and it werks
>not just buying off of g2a
>giving your credit card to shady russians
>no proof of credit card theft
>gaining mainstream attention and the only controversy is that the poor devs don't see a dime
>Simcity 4
Bad meme. Simcity 4 has nothing else going for it superior to Cities except you can smash a fucking meteor in the middle of the city.
Gimme a sale on Furi and DOOM
>G2A shield jewery and non working keys
But go ahead and bend over to your cyka overlords
Still waiting for that evidence.
>he doesn't know G2A shield holds you hostage until you go through the all the cancer to cancel it.
>muh evidence
I'm not your fucking babysitter. Learn to fucking google.
fuck off paypal
i just buy steam gift cards now, fuck the middlemen cost and get into Valve directly
also makes refunding easier
Then you should know shield is not required for purchase faggot. I bet you buy warranties too.
...
refund retard
I really really do. As always idiots and impatient faggots ruin everything.
I want that badge that will likely come, problem is i pretty much have all games i want. Do consider buying watch dogs 2, dishonored 2, and mafia 3 on cdkeys since its so cheap there. Is it worth it?
What happens to my games if Steam goes under or if the service is offline? How can I play my games?
Steam will never go down permanently any time soon, if it does you will get access to all current games in your library. To play offline you need ot have the games downloaded of course.
Never wanted refunds because I don't spend money on games before researching or pirating them first.
If you have them downloaded - you play in offline mode like nothing happened.
>month
>day
>year
Americans are autistic
Anybody know if Killing Floor 2 is going on sale? It's the only thing I want to buy.
Everything goes on sale you sillywilly.
>>all discounts are the same from day 1 and are overall smaller
>I think I bought 2 games in the summer sales overall, and I'd usually end up buying 10 or more. They've just completely lost their magic.
The smaller discounts increased Volvo's revenue by 40 %:
>This year Steam Summer Sale generated $223.2M in revenue.
>That’s huge! In 2015 Steam Summer Sale netted developers $160M, so this year saw a 40% increase regarding estimated revenue!

The JPEG addicts can't stop, they get fleeced.
It's going to be the exact same sale than the black Friday anons.
I don't know whether to take advantage of the Resident Evil sale now or wait a day for winter sale. I'll probably wait.
Perhaps you should not have funded ISIS Mohamad
Friendly reminder.
How does this refund thing work? Can I just refund a game and buy it again if it's cheaper?
I just tried pirating Obduction and my computer is too shit to run it tolerably. The sound design in the first area seems really cool though, I'll buy it on sale when I get a better computer.
Also the CrossCode demo was really fun, waiting for the full release.
If you have less than 2 hours in the game, and own it for less than two weeks or something then yes. I don't really see why you would do it though.
>ez discounts and wallet money
Obduction runs on a toaster.
You can only refund if you have less than 2 hours playtime and have owned it for less than 14 days.
Okay so, what is stopping someone from buying a handful of games and nothing more, getting their trading cards and refunding the games?
No really, what is stopping them?
The minimum requirements is i5-2500 and I have i3-4300.
