I'm really enjoying the Hitman game at least. It is my first one. What other ones should I play? Is there some overarching story or anything to be seen here?

Yeah it's the first mission it's weird.

Generally people recommend playing the entire series, they have highs and lows. more people have played blood money than the others, but don't confuse that for a greater agreement that it's the best title (I personally think it is, but I know plenty of people think codename 47 is.)

I'd say try them all, they're almost certain to be dirt cheap in the steam sale, but if you can only get one, my personal recommendation goes for blood money. It's very well rounded, and has plenty of fun areas, and great easter eggs and ways to subdue/eliminate the target.

I'm sure you've read about the stage in which you're in a theater where a play is to occur, and there are so many ways to eliminate the target, it's not even funny.

You get the training areas and first mission, though that first mission includes all contracts, escalations, and elusive targets made for Paris, and also the new Christmas mission set there, I am pretty sure.

And to , the upgrade pack is $12.50 on Gamestop right now. Not sure if it will go lower.
