The GOTY is a game Sup Forums doesn't even know about.

Really makes you think.

Several threads a day since release

This
And already on my wishlist. With some luck it will get a few % off on winter sale.

Wake up little trap~

Lurk more you faggot. There has been several threads in the past few hours alone.
Also, Sup Forums is generally not for discussing good games. They usually talk about feminism, shitty webcomics, e-celebs, graphics and bad games.

Post webms.

It's not even that good, it's just a Commandos ripoff

Sup Forums here, I've heard of it. Looks neat but im playing other games right now

Why do people still make contrarian faggot threads like this one?

We've had threads since the demo, regular threads since it's release and the consensus is it's fucking awesome.

>finally a new Commandos style game
>it's the shittiest setting imaginable

that's an awfully elaborate plan to get the same result as mugen aoe

But you get a badge for not killing anyone with Mugen.

There really isn't that much to discuss though.
There have been some threads, but they move slow and are few, considering how new it is.
Definitely my favorite game this year by a mile, currently trying to earn badges. Got all of them on the first 2 levels, right now I'm trying to come up with a plan to not kill anyone inside the compound.
This is the only game in recent memory where "really makes you think" is an appropriate response.

As it happens I'm doing the "Don't select Mugen" badge challenge along with kill everyone and hide everyone.

You can't select him at all in that badge.

Game is too linear, you actually have a lot fewer options than it initially seemed.

Still a decent game though, but not wroth the $40 price tag. Wait for sale at 75% off.

>"linear" as in "i can't play without taking the easiest route"

I wonder suddenly, if you makes a simultaneous attack of multiple character on a samurai, can you kill it, or a firearm is always required ?

I am currently on that mission, so I haven't seen the badges for it yet.
btw, would you recommend doing the badges on hard ? I do my first play through in hard, but I wonder if I should try to get the badges with lower difficulties

Your ninja instantly dies if you initiate an attack on samurai. Even before samurai's attack animation starts.

The only ways to kill samurai is
>kill with mugen
>shoot with mugen's handcannon
>knock out with mugen and slit throat after
>shoot samurai and then slit attack
>explosives
>throw rock or barrel on them
>environmental kills

I do most of the speedrun badges on normal just so i can quickly run past viewcones without triggering alert.
There's no benefit in doing them on hardcore except for personal satisfaction.

>Don't select mugen
>Hide everyone
F U N

linear as in you play through it once and never touch again

Well I thought I'd quicksave before the mission end and then load that save to clean up the map.

How dare they make an entry into a genre a decade+ dead, right?

Aiko a best
Disguise and sneezing powder make everything so easy

Yeah, that's probably the way to go

What an uncreative fag you are. When playing the demo alone, I finished mission two in various ways.

>turn based slogfest
>goty
KEK

>Sup Forums
>knowing shit about games
but yeah it's really fucking great

>turn-based

>turn based
youwotm8?

>turn based
OP was right

>Got all the way to the last mission.
>Free time piles up, piss most of it away on Sup Forums.

This site is a horrible drug.
Anyway, might as well ask. Any tips on approaching the eastern well without a disguise, or getting said disguise without killing people in the garden?

Ill remember this title as "the game that still made Sup Forums pull their head out of their asses in 2016"

It was nice to see but i guess its over.

OOOOH SAKEE

It's 3 guards a samurai and 2 civs right? I got the disguise killing the 3 guards and keeping the others alive, so I'd assume if you are fast enough you can use yuki, aiko and hayato to knock them all out

Completely missed this somehow. Thanks OP, looks interesting.

>turn based

haha sake
no one can resist this offer

>tfw mugen is your favourite

Thanks for the help, but I'm trying to not kill people in there to go about it Yuki's way (steal the key without people noticing).
Killing a few people and getting the key + disguise would be a breeze but I might as well use the thief for theft once in a while.

>they still giving me mugen tips

Yeah, you knock out the guards, not kill them

I hope y'all niggas are playing with Japanese voice acting

It felt like every tip was a mugen tip late game

Dumb kekposter

I'm going to play on Japanese once I replay the levels. The voice acting is really good, despite the accents now being all there
>stupid, stupid!

>Last mission.
After having sad/angry or scared responses, everyone starts mentioning Mugen, Hayato and taking to the others like a team.

He'd be proud of them.

Add me to your reddit montage, please.

>pick japanese
>can't understand any of the unsubtitled lines
Smart move, buddy

I spent so goddamn long in that first Yuki/Mugen mission that some of the NPC chatter is burned into my mind. How the hell are you supposed to make it work without killing anyone inside the entire damn courtyard?
>it'll be done to your satisfaction

Did anyone get any rare chatter? The only one I remember hearing was Yuki. She says cheers luv the cavalrys here

Is Takuma ever useful?

He's just a burden mostly desu

I'm assuming you've at least knocked down a tower on the south side so the samurai aren't anywhere near you.
On the eastern gate of the garden (near the wagon) you can throw sake to lure that one guard away and then sneak from the bushes as Yuki to snatch the documents. After that sprint inside the small hunt from the garden door. You can then just run to the wagon without caring if you trigger alarm or not as long as both reach the wagon.

He is great for taking down samurais.

Yes. His rifle is and grenade are pretty good for synchronized attacks and he can take out enemies in high positions.

Also, in the Suganuma Village mission you can wipe the searching party with one grenade when they come back, saving you at least 1 minute.

He has two firearms as well. You can alternate between the two to shoot several people without cooldown.

Rifle is useful for taking down people in towers. Ammo is limited, but most missions with him have ammo around somewhere
Kuma keeps a group of normal guards distracted for quite a long time. Can also give you a couple of seconds of a samurai or straw hat looking the wrong way
Grenades are useful for groups, both in non-lethal and lethal runs. I don't see how you can get by those two samurai talking to each other on the last mission non-lethally without using the bomb

@

In Kanazawa you can shoot two officers from the sniper's nest on top of the house near the start and clear a very large area of enemies.

Here's a gimmick that can skip the entire section after entering the well. This is also a hidden achievement.
The entire map is doable in 2:30 minutes with nothing but Aoki and never killing anyone in the map.
