It took forever to get them localized over here (and we still don't have all of them), a good portion of them have some fucking bullshit you need to get past, and remember that a lot of people on Sup Forums had trouble fighting Matador in Nocturne when his whole "strategy" is required for virtually every boss fight in DQ.

Please, you don't need to grind in SMT, every dungeon layout is just a randomly generated grid packed with the same enemies, even rushing through the main story is grind.

Persona has randomly generated dungeons, not mainline SMT.

It all looks like the same shit so it might aswell be randomly generated.
A solid 3/4ths of those games are pure grind, fighting trash mobs is just filler to pad out the game length.

I'll give it to you that there's a hell of a lot of encounters in SMT 1 and 2, but running from fights is very forgiving and if you have the common sense to recruit the demons your running into then you won't even have to fight.

In SMT1 and 2 they all look the same, passed that they're fairly distinct from one another. Also, that's not what grinding is and you can avoid fights fairly easily.

Playing through Apocalypse blind on the highest setting, I've had to grind a few times because I was missing a skill I need to beat a boss and need to synthesize a demon with it.

Grinding is when you kill the same shit over and over just so you can level up. If the game is designed well, the dungeons will last long enough so that the enemies don't start to get boring to fight and you'll get to move on to a new dungeon, and they are usually well designed in SMT.
