Today on the 21st of december a fangame of Pokemon Crystal named "Pokemon Prism" was given an order of cease and Desist and as such the game was cancelled 4 days before release. The trailer for the game had gardnered 1.2 million views on YouTube.
Someone I know on a hacking-lifestyle IRC chatroom has given me a leak that he has gotten of said romhack. After testing the validity of the files I am sharing it with you folks of Sup Forums. Share it, save it do whatever is possible to keep it alive and make sure it is as widespread as it can be.

Thanks for downloading Pokemon Prism. We might release updated versions eventually if we find actual developers wanting to help finish the project, but for now this is what we have.
We're attaching our public key in the key.gpg file. The ROM file (pokeprism.gbc) is digitally signed, and you can verify that. We will use the same key to sign updated versions if we ever release them.
If you have anything important to ask us, you can contact us by email at [email protected]. Don't expect us to check that too often though.
This file contains the source of the game, the game itself and a small IPS patch to convert the version you receive into the debug version. Please help us by distributing these files however you can.

It really never gets old. This exact same event has happened so many times over the years, and everyone keeps believing that this is some sort of new phenomenon by evil capitalist companies. How fucking hard is it to keep your head down and just quietly release something? Christ.
The thing about Sonic Mania is that it's being developed by Taxman, who actively approached Sega about working with them for emulating their games on different systems. It paid off because he's now helping to develop it now, which is a lot more than can be said about any other fangame dev.
The even funnier part is that after the next few days, no one will even care about this anymore and go on none the wiser. If AM2R didn't demonstrate that most of the internet doesn't give a shit about your game getting blocked, then nothing will.

Pokémon Crystal romhack. You're some hobo and you start with a Larvitar. I only got so far as getting the pokéballs and catching my first party member, a Ralts (male). Game seems to have pokémon of every gen up to five (haven't seen any sixth or seventh geners yet, but they might be in) and the Fairy type's in since my Ralts' part Fairy.

So far I've got, This, AM2R and Uranium. And io'll doccument Sage and Mother 4 if and when they ever come out as well. If i had a repro kit i'd gladly burn them to cart for people.
