I'm getting an rx460 soon and I'm worried about this, is it true?
More like every 6 months, what with all the technological progress we're having.
New games are usually shit
they just want you to believe that
Can't believe I'm still on my 2500K with no end in sight.
Maybe Zen will offer comparable pr clock performance for a decent price, as well as 8 physical cores and lower power drain
My last PC lasted 10 years. I expect my new top of the line to last 15 years.
>Got a 390 in 2015 a month or two after they came out
>Still haven't needed to upgrade anything or buy a new pc
It's all good, friend.
Bought a i5 2500k and a gtx560ti 5 years ago for 150€ each and still going strong with most games, but noticing a steady decline since this year
gotta upgrade soon
will a graphics card and a cpu for 150€ each carry me 5 years again or have the prices risen higher?
I've had my gaming pc for over six years and i've only had to upgrade it once. I can play everything at near max settings
>he fell for the gaming pc meme
>tfw 2 poor to afford an upgrade from your mediocre pc build from 4 years ago
What kind of parallel universe do you live in where pcfags are the ones getting jewed by planned obsolescence and pointless "upgrades"?
did you jew out on ram back in the day? I did. Saw this article and got some cheap 2133mhz ram, does make a difference

Same here, haven't oven OC'd it yet.
THAT MEME IS TRUE
prove me wrong
>if you install all windows updates and all nvidia updates + features
>if you dont know how to tweak Nvidia control gfx settings
also the following
>not OC'ing cpu older cpu's
>not making sure Ram is runnin at full speed
>not keeping os Bloat -free & barebones
if these are not done a $2000 gaming pc WILL become obsolete in 1 year
also see
2500k is still fine if you OC it, I'd try picking up a 290x for cheap or just getting a 480, you'll be set for the next couple years.
>jewish lies
not really. it's an old stereotype from the '90s when "getting a new PC every year" was pretty much a necessity if you wanted to play new games.
>tfw PC that was built in 2009
It can't run anything but indi at this point.
When Skyrim came out it could run it on Low with 15-20 FPS.
uh dunno what kind they are, i think 1600
ty mang, will look into that
Good goys
>Got a GTX 970 last year
>Current games keep stuttering because of 3.5
its not true
prove me wrong

i bought it at the beginning of this year, and i dont experience any problems, but i only play on 60hz 1080p
