Why the fuck do developers do this shit? What was the purpose of removing New Game Plus mode from NG to NGB?

NGB is meant to be a unique experience.

I think they wanted people to own both versions. They also remove one of the extra costumes, the SNES games and one the game's most overpowered move added from the Hurricane Packs.
Fuck, everyone always talks about how Black is better than Sigma, but this is pretty much prooves that Sigma is far superior to black.

It breaks the flow of the game. First Ninja Gaiden is like an adventure. You have this semi-open world which you travel around, fight enemies, buy stuff, farm essense. And then suddenly you're forced to play as completely different character with moveset you aren't familiar with. Then you suddenly go back to Ryu. It's just annoying.
Fair point, but once you learn the movesets of both characters, I'm sure it wouldn't be that jarring to switch between them. Hell, I'm often playing several different FPS's within the same time frame, and I have no issue switching between them or whatever.
It doesn't really help since Rachel isn't that fun. Itagaki even commented on why there's no playable characters beside Ryu - because team put all their effort into making him as fluid and fun to play as possible. And it shows since playing as girls in both Sigma games are really just annoying, especially in Sigma 2.

I thought the only reason they remade the Xbox Ninja Gaiden games on PS3 was because it was the only loophole they had to get around Microsoft's exclusivity agreement.

Rachael is basically a shitty version of Ryu movement-wise, and the only weapon your have available to you is one of the worst weapons in the game.
I suppose it was probably done to keep the game difficult no matter what, as once people beat the game they could easily go through it every time with the upgraded stuff.

The Sigma games have entire LEVELS worth of content cut from the main game because the PS3 GPU was so weak it couldn't handle things the original Xbox could and because the ports were handled by an idiot who is now responsible for your most hyped exclusive(Nioh).

also the nes ninja gaidens were replaced with the arcade ninja gaiden.
the removal of the "ninja of the future outfit" is strange, but black did add new outfits.
removal of new game+ might have been because they want players to move up from every difficulty to see the new content instead of living in normal forever. Baby mode was also added and it teases you with crappy free equips during the campaign.
Itagaki might have thought that the addition of mission mode would be enough for new game+ players i guess.

Has anyone tried to move the removed costumes to NGB and add in NG+? The NG+ could still be in the game's data but not visible due to a disabled hex string or something.

I gave up at the radio tower you need to blow up because all those niggers raping you with rocket launchers while you need to do first person shots with those weird controls was too much for me
you might be able to compare the saves between ng1 and black in hex and enable new game+ that way.
theres also a chance that hex editing a black save to change your location to the first possible save location might work, but i'm unsure what future flags save. like you could walk into a later room and a boss is already dead or something.
but also keep in mind not a single person who has ng1 and the hurricane packs have uploaded a save. anyone who pirates the hurricane packs cant even use them.

To be fair, the architecture of the PS3 and PS4 cannot be any more different. If they really wanted to, they could remake Sigma 1 and 2 for the PS4 and do them justice. Maybe even make the Rachel missions in Sigma 1 optional

The fact that some weapons were buffed in Sigma makes me upset about black, because it means that some weapons in black were underpowered, and thus, the game isn't completely balanced.

The same reason developers do every other seemingly retarded decision. Management is furious that game development costs money, so they threaten to fire anyone who doesn't make arbitrary deadlines.
NG is a game you play for the gameplay and only the gameplay, playing on easy modos detracts from the intended experience and makes the game worse.
If you want the game to beat itself for you go play something easy like dark souls instead.
