I played the first dishonored and the dlcs, game was ok but the dlcs were kind of meh. I want to buy dishonored 2 but dont know if i should wait for a goty version with all the dlc or not because the previous experience, is it worth it to play it now or wait? I honestly wouldnt give a fuck if the dlcs were outside the main story but we dont know that yet

Bump
You sound like you didn't think the game was that great so I would just wait for goty edition.
D2 is the same game as D1 but the gameplay is more refined and has more options. All the levels are fantastic and are really nice to explore. Though the story and it's execution is weaker then the first imo.
I ended up putting 59 hours into it over 6 playthroughs and I don't think there's much more for me do until the dlc comes out.
>you can have 144 fps and suddenly it stutters and stops to 1fps for 2 seconds without actually pausing the game and when you come back your dead
this game looks so fucking good but it's unplayable even if you try to play it on lowest settings at 2x2 pixel resolution
>Though the story and it's execution is weaker then the first imo.
I'm running it on Ultra, 24fps (which is a shame) but it's a stable framerate. It stuttered once when I was looking out over the ocean at the distant horizon when I wan on the hub between missions.
If you're getting these huge drops then that's specific to you and your machine. The game is terribly optimised and there's no knowing how it will run on your computer, but to say it's unplayable is to assume everyone has/will experience the exact same as you.
I have had no problems beyond a slow but stable framerate.
Quoted the wrong post because I'm a fucking moron.
Was in reply to
m8 I'm posting my experience and a look at the latest negative reviews echo my exact issue. It's unplayable because of stutters. I would be okay if I have to give up over 100 FPS so I could get a constant low fps like 25 or something but it doesn't do that. My issue is common still.
the dlcs were better than the base game
I'm playing at 1440p ultra 60fps, this is the first I've heard about stutters, is it to do with specific levels or is it something else? I've not encountered any yet.
>upgrading your crossbow bolt carry capacity still doesn't affect sleep darts
Regular bolts are common as hell and I don't even need to be able to carry more of them. This upgrade is so fucking pointless.
it runs silky smooth on my 1070 until you get off the boat after the starter area then as you walk towards the center shit gets fucked up.
Are you playing on ultra? I'm on high and it's been a constant 60fps with a 1070.
friendly reminder
>mfw checking to see if they updated game to fix fps issues
>WHY ARE YOU GUYS COMPLAINING THAT THE GAME IS BROKEN DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO MAKE A GAME SO ENTITLED TO WANT A FULLY WORKING GAME THAT YOU PAID FULL PRICE
I thought this was a joke that didn't really happen.
This is my experience on ALL settings. I had silky smooth beginning area at ultra settings but even on everything set to the lowest settings and anything that could be turned off with SUB 1080p resolution (I have a 1440p monitor), even at 720p or 480p with my 1070 there are stutters.
It's not just me any place that holds reviews or any kind of discussion mention this with posts being made complaining still not even 20 minutes ago.
I'm using a 1070 and everything on ultra is fine? Could it be the CPU then? What would you define as stutters? Framerate drops or dropping frames so everything looks jittery? I do have vsync off as well.
The game is unplayable for you and others, sure, but OP might never experience that issue is my point.
I've been trying to figure out why I got stutter. I think, for me, it was either long draw distances or the water. It happened when I was looking into the horizon over the ocean. I've had absolutely no stutters in urban areas or populated areas, only when looking out over water into the far distance.
I do hope they fix these issues soon. I love the game but I feel as though I've been lucky to not have any serious technical issues. 60fps would be great but I'm fine with 24fps as long as it's stable. As I've said, apart from the brief stutter while I wasn't on an actual mission, I've had no problems, personally.
I've only had one instance of stuttering where it dropped down to 30 for a few seconds on the boat. Other than that I haven't noticed any drops from 60 at all.
What CPU are you using? I'm on a 4690K so it's nothing too amazing.
Guys I figured out how to fix here is the guide
works for me :)
Pretty weak, considering that sandy bridge and the 2600k released in early 2011 and the 970 in late 2014.
I should wait then? Dont know what to play then, im gonna wait for the FFXV GOTY too.
software not working as intended is a legit reason to get a refund so you can buy to find out. It won't be on sale forever if it's not already
What kinds of games do you like? Maybe look beyond something that came out in the last couple of months.
