Why do people do this?

>everyone else has like 200

What's the problem?

Does this count as anime avatar?
I have 46 friends

>Add someone on Steam to play games or talk
>Get curt responses, ask them to play and they always decline
I'm literally about to cry because of this.

It makes you feel worthless and replacable.

Not everyone wants to play video games all the time. Dont you know what depression is?

do you play skyrim? i can stream and you can look at all my porn mods plox

So you are one of THOSE, huh?
Nigga, sometimes I just want to watch series and use facebook, the only reason why I have steam on is to auto update games, doesnt mean I want to play the entire goddamn day

Jesus Christ...

That's because you are.
So what's the problem?

where can i go to fuck around and watch streams and shit
someone add me on discord im lonely

That's not the issue here.

These people play video games and talk to their other friends very regularly, they just don't want to do it with -me-.

There's nothing wrong with declining an invitation (to talk or play) sometimes, everyone does it, or not feeling up to it right then and there, but literally EVERY time, for multiple people, when they normally talk fine or normally play games routinely with their other friends, that's troubling.

If I have someone added for weeks or months, I should have at least an attempt at conversation and/or a few matches of vidya in. Unless they really dislike me for some reason they won't tell me, in which case they should tell me that and/or delete me, so that I may try to improve and move on.

>you should delete them after that long
Not the point.

*this happens to multiple people with me

>Have a multitude of video games to play with a beastin computer to play them
>Can hardly ever muster up the will to press play on any of them because of depression
Yeah..

And what's the variable on those examples?
Hint: its you

Fucking retards delete this.

I just acknowledged that. But I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

I think there's something both inherent and intangible about me that causes this.

I thought I asked or spoke to them too frequently, so I did it significantly less. Same result.

I thought it was my mannerisms, apologizing a lot and being very concerned if I was being annoying or not, so I stopped asking and apologizing as often. Same result.

I started playing different games. Same result.

I tried to act like I observed a number of others acting, basically the opposite of "bee urself". Same result.

There is something about me and I don't know what it is.

that's a constant, not a variable. variables change.

Maybe you're just fucking boring and don't deserve friends. like me

I meant to say "controlled variable", but too lazy to type it all from the phone.

See I would say that's the case, but there are plenty of other "boring" people with friends who regularly say yes to their invitations for vidya. So that (alone) can't be it.

...

Considered that as well. I never discuss my problems or my emotions with the people I add anymore.

One person said I just have this aura about me that gives off that impression although I don't talk about it at all.

I'm only posting all this now because I'm anonymous.

>have 39 friends
>talk to about 5 of them regularly, but almost never in steam
I don't even know who half of these people are.

Sup Forums - Advice

never befriend a girl on steam, they're nothing but trouble and are always fat

>tfw no fat gf to send me videos of her getting fucked so I can self-insert as the guy fucking her and masturbate

>add a random after playing together for a bit
>forget about him
>never talk for 2 years
>decides to talk to me today
>it's to ask about my fapping habits in depth and how great and messy it can be

What do I do

Why wouldn't you talk about your masturbation habits with a stranger on the internet?

>befriend girl on twitch
>she's not fat
>actually one of my best friends
>absolute qt and generally amazing

inb4 he's in this thread

I have literally experienced this before
We became the bestest of friends after that

>nobody ever adds you

like 70% of americans are overweight or obese, why is that so surprising

>If I have someone added for weeks or months, I should have at least an attempt at conversation and/or a few matches of vidya in.

That is a bit high expectation. Ive been on steam since launch I have almost 2000 games on hand and people randomly add me based on the reviews I've made in the past, community board posts, trading, etc

I've never come across someone deleting me because I didnt talk to them...Most of my real friends aren't online very often so as a result I'm not active usually aside from idle card farming.

If it gets under your skin that someone isnt talking with you, maybe try initiating the conversation. 9 times out of ten im watching TV and if someone sends me a message then we'll enter a conversation. You cant just expect everyone to initiate that, try it yourself sometime.

>maybe try initiating the conversation.
But I do. Did you not read my previous posts?

"Get curt responses" implies I tried to message them first.

messaging over text leaves out all the nuisances of body language, facial expressions, tone of voice..

They may not be curt but may just seem curt to you. If you ask some one "what's up" and they say shortly "not much" then go on to something else? i.e did you see all the shit that happened on the news today? open up the discussion. If they are still curt and non-responsive, then you're justified in guessing they aren't interested in socializing with you.

The only reason I have so many friends is because I get so many people gifting me things from steam gift threads and I'd feel awful removing someone who spent $10-50 on me.

I got like 50 steam friends (from trading and stuff)
Few tried talking to me but got bored, one guy I know irl keeps sending me links to normiememes
I added someone from homosteamfriends thread but he doesn't talk to me

Are you a cute femboy because I'll play games with you if we can rub girldicks afterwards

>>has more than 20 friends

W-Woah

>Adding random people at all

similar thing happened
had a 360 for a few months a some random that I added ages ago messaged me for the first time saying "how often do you masterbate?".

I've been told I'm cute but I don't think so, post it before the thread 404s

>If you ask some one "what's up" and they say shortly "not much" then go on to something else? i.e did you see all the shit that happened on the news today? open up the discussion. Yes this is what happens

I have like 50 friends left over from my tf2 trading days.
I only contact a few close friends, but keep the others on my friends list to compare stats and look what others are buying and playing. Some of them I know have similar interests to me, so I use their game libraries as a recommendation list.

>anime avatar friend is self conscious about having more than 30 friends
>private profiles
Is there anything more embarrassing than people who think they're somehow mysterious or of high worth?

I'd say it's none of his business, but that's just me.

>no one ever asks you about fapping
Why live

well then open up discussion!

Ask them about the game they recently played?

or something

Also go outside and socialize because this is (not being mean) part of basic human interaction.

I already do that

and I have trouble socializing IRL too.

What do you do with steam friends?
How do you make them?

My profile is only private because I don't want to be harassed as I was in the past.

>i'm so mysterious any sought after and special
You're not fooling anyone, no one cares.

Is there really some stigma about having private profile?
Why would you assume they think they're mysterious?

All my Steam friends are people I knew from online forums ages ago. I wouldn't even know how to make new friends. Try finding an active Steam group with something you're interested in maybe. I have a friend who's in a Steam group who actually uses their group chat function.

That's not what I meant. If my profile isn't private when I post it saying what games I want to play people will crucify me for only playing weeb games, being friends with person they don't like, my level, etc. It's not worth it.

why are these threads always filled with fags?

she think she slick

They want someone to erp with. Never add someone from Sup Forums for any reason.

I'll talk with ya. Give a throwaway email and people can exchange Steam IDs with you without you having to post your actual identity in thread.

(I've been there I have depressing anxiety)

>having friends
>doing things besides lying in bed staring at your ceiling
fucking normies ruined Sup Forums

Vidya and dicks is a perfect combination

What games do you play?

Most people use it as a fashion statement, same with caring about the number of friends you have. It's just something that faggots do to try to appear mysterious most of the time.

>Anyone adds me

Hits decline.

nigger just sign out of chat then like i agree with what you're saying but i don't go into chat unless i have to

I usually start a convosation with them and try to scare them off. A normie filter, if you will.

who /100+ friends, anime avatar, public profile, disabled comments/ here?

>Never add someone from Sup Forums for any reason.
I've added a few people from Sup Forums here and even though they were all fags, none of them have tried to erp with me.

who /0 friends, video game avatar, public profile, no comments/ here?

Most of my Steam friends are real life friends or people from university. I'm the weird anime friend.

>tfw no steam friend who likes manga

>tfw the animeposters are normies
If someone thinks you are worth spending time with, you are a normie. End of discussion.

ERPers mostly. I've met a couple of people here who I still talk to regularly to this day. Sup Forums can be alright but it's mostly the autism and flagrant desperation that ruins people here.

>>tfw the animeposters are normies
The /r9k/ Steam threads proved this beyond the shadow of a doubt

>it's that one autist that tried forcing the "post-ironic weeb" meme again

>Using idle master to get card drops from all my games.
>Don't even know why.

>Don't even know why.
Shut up and keep sucking.

...

>Me and my girlfriend share my Steam account (which is connected to my email and phone number).
>She plays online normally with a mic because people are fucking idiots who can't complete objectives.
>Get free games from lonely autists.

>Person with over 100 friends tries to add you

Close. I'm /0 friends, no avatar, private profile, no comments/.

I want to bury my face in an awkward virgin's crotch
Is it too much to ask

>make mods for a popular game
>random people add me
>always accept because why not
>around 200 people now
>none of them ever talked to me
>stop updating my mods
>they start bugging me every time I open a game other than the game I make mods for
>forced to start steam in offline mod
what do I fucking do

dumb gayposters

>fall in love with your steamfriend
>stops talking to you

delete them you stupid fuck

Delete them you fucking idiot.

make mods for the game, do you really have to ask, bicchboi?

>Haven't held a conversation with anyone on Steam for longer than I can remember.
>Haven't made a new friend in ten years
