I'll get it when it's complete

>I'll get it when it's complete

Be honest, do you ACTUALLY even care? You don't feel like you're missing anything now, what does a bit more content later change? The core game is still going to be the same.

This also goes for Final Fantasy XV.

You dont really want more shitters playing your competitive video game anyway.

Except I already bought it. And the season passes. Mostly because I'm fucking dumb.

No, this is fucking dumb.

I have dishonored my family.

The game is fine in it's current state content wise. I miss Arcade mode, but I'm not really losing sleep over it.

>its another faggot sfv thread

>the core game is still going to be the same
That's why I quit playing though.

Except for all the characters that people want to be in, and the disappointment of "all new" characters in the S2 pass that no one wants.

I think you're taking this "all new" thing the wrong way but that's just my opinion.

Elaborate, please.

Oh sorry I didn't know you already had the confidential information of who the S2 characters will be. I bet you are one of those people who hates SF3 because it didn't have all of your childhood favorites.

Or they literally announced that the S2 characters were going to be completely new to the franchise, with the exception of Akuma.

I think it's just saying "all new" for SF5. Just some attention-grabbing words. I don't think they necessarily meant "new to the franchise".

If every character is a fresh face to Street Fighter then so be it but I'm really only expecting a maximum of two new characters in this pack.

SF3 is bad for way more reasons than that.

So? That automatically makes them bad, you fucking nostalgiafag?

>SF3 is bad

Let's start with that.

eventhubs.com/news/2016/dec/03/remaining-5-characters-introduced-season-2-street-fighter-5-will-be-brand-new-street-fighter-universe/

Except every fag who doesn't get their character is assmad until they get it, then they're sad because it's not the same as X version they like the most. I'm just glad Juri came out so the rampant foot fags can finally shut the fuck up about their "interesting character" and go back to jacking it to taekwondo tutorials.

I really want my boy Cody because I like him in both games he appeared in. But I know he'll be different if he's in, and I know that one of the 5 new guys might even play similar to how he was in the other games. Doing this 5 new character thing is courage that I don't think Capcom can afford to have right now though, so I hope it works out for them, but I can't say I'd give good odds to it working out in their favour.

>Arcade Edition is the last version we swear!
Yeah. I'm in no rush to buy this.

But you WILL buy it? Are you sure?

When people say that I just think it's a way to snark at the people who bought in early on. There's no real interest in ever playing it.

Yes. As a physicalfag I prefer getting the version with the most shit in it except for the very few games I need on day one. Capcom has proven to me time and time again that they repackage SF as much as they can. And if I'm wrong, then all just get the standard version that will probably be cheaper by then anyway.

>bought game
>runs like shit on my toaster even in low spec
>want to upgrade without buying new machine
>look for information on internet
>mostly questions answered by INDIANS
FUCKING INDIANS WHY ARE THEY ALWAYS IN COMPUTERS

they're supporting this version of sfv, considered the only version, until 2020

I got it on sale and it's pretty fun. I like the fight money system and I'm interested to see who the new characters are. A lot more fun to have a completely new roster than a bunch of old characters.

>by then you'll have spent about $400 on DLC

you made nuckledu a rich man

At least that's probably the last time I'm doing that. In the future I'm only going to use real money for new stages (and not stage variations either).

there is a current deluxe SFV that you can purchase digitally but its like 100 dollars and doesnt include the premium costumes.

they're never gonna give them away for free.

but you can buy stages with fight money desu

i didnt pick it up untill a character i wanted to play got added, ibukis fun
still waiting on guy and sakura

The rate of return on FM is too low. I just enjoy fighting and practicing so I don't want to grind FM. If I end up with enough FM to afford something then that's good but it's not my goal.

Also I might spend money on a premium costume but only if it's to offset a really ugly base design.

...

Game is awful, cant wait for MvCI

oh shit.
the stage is kinda cool but the colors sucks ass, what else do the cpt premier package has?

Do the season passes ever go on sale?

Is there a costume wiki?

This doesn't apply to FFXV though. That's a (mostly) single player game will only get patched and improved over time.

SFV's main focus is its multiplayer. If you want to get good and enjoy yourself it's good to play as early as possible since the playerbase will be at its highest then.

I got it because I'm only going to play Zangief anyway.

Dead genre

ANSWER ME

Put input delay at 4f, make combos worth practicing and less braindead, bring back actual neutral, give non-jab antiairs more consistency

Game still has a way to go

>Do the season passes ever go on sale?
No that I've seen.
>costume wiki
What? You to look at them? You can just go on youtube and look them up.

I just hit super silver as Cammy.
Are players going to do significantly different things the higher I go?
When will I have to look at frame data?
Is Cammy even a good character?

first season pass was on sale a few weeks ago for -40% on Humble Bundle

The Season Pass has done so, at least on Steam. In fact it is on sale right now. No idea about PS4.

do you guys do anything when someone ragequit you or you feel that reacting at all is a victory for the raguequitter?

You may run into situations where you'll block something and wonder if it's punishable

Even if it is, you may have to pick a faster button to catch the punish window in time. That's probably one of the most obvious places where frame data becomes important, but you'll find other reasons to look soon enough.

Learning to punish moves that are unsafe is crucial, because once you start killing someone for using a move, they'll feel less incentivized to use it unless they're braindead. Most people are capable of changing strategy mid-match, so you should start working on that if you haven't already.

Only time I've seen it on sale for PS4 was during the week the Playstation Store had the Black Friday sale and Flash sale back in November.

You mean ebb-and-flow style gameplay?
Because as Cammy I rather just go full retard mode rushdown, unless they are about to die to a random EX Spiral Arrow, in which case I suddenly back away steadily to make them chase me, I often catch them walking into the attack when I give them the feeling that I'm running away.

I don't think the pros make such drastic changes out of the blue either, unless they're in the lead I suppose.

Cammy is top tier.

It should make you feel good, because you beat somebody's ass so bad they exploded in salt.

I usually laugh when this happens, because it's funny when you realize you made the other player lose their cool irl.

>can't complete level 10 trial as chun

I already bought it and i haven't given capcom my money for 20 years. Fucking hell capcom.

Anyway i'll wait until the obsidian q stick is out and better characters get released, chun all day btw

You mean the 4+ million people who bought SF2 but didn't give a shit about SF3?

I'm not really seeing the problem with that. No one liked the Monster Mash of SF3 and the game flopped horribly because of it. There's a good reason why SF4 and 5 only brought back the normal characters from 3 and left out the freaks.

Adding characters alters the core gameplay.

>Listened to the MikeZ's rant on this.
>Japanese call this game "Duty5" because everyone has to play it despite not wanting to.

Just how bad is it?
Visuals aside, I heard the game is great for newcomers... so what is it that makes it so bad?

No, it compliments it.
There is a set of rules that is universal across characters, this is the core gameplay.
Things that fall into this category are: crossups, hit- / hurtboxes, input leniency and delay, the existence of normals and specials and many other basic things.
Characters do not influence or change these things, but they can bring their own unique twist into the game (e.g. Ibuki's kunai).

Hey guys im doing some tech videos of shit i find but i dont know where to shill my channel, a discord or something?

It's the latest entry, everyone shat on sf4 when it came out and now everyone and their dog is sucking its cock.

The additional input delay and quick recovery of moves makes the game favour heavy offensive play with less focus on reactions, defense, or good fundamentals in neutral. Even in tournament play, you'll see a lot of forward jumping because the worst you'd suffer (in season 1, at least) would be about 30 damage from a jab and a left-right mixup when you land. In previous games, you could suffer about half a life bar or more for a poorly placed jump, depending on the game.

Neutral, or the state of a match when neither player is attacking or defending, is also different in SFV. Buttons have a very short range and typically quick recovery, on top of the fact that the game has a native 6.5f input lag that Capcom refuses to fix -- you'll see a button come out, it'll be active for a number of frames, but punishing your opponent for whiffing that button is nigh impossible on reaction. Play is more heavily geared towards reading your opponent and expecting things than truly reacting to them, which is bothersome for a lot of people.

Apart form that, combos don't last as long and there's a 3f input buffer to make linking moves easier. Learning a character's BnB combos shouldn't take more than a day, where in previous games characters like Dudley, Makoto, and Adon would require a fair amount of practice to really get their tougher links consistently.

With jumping being strong, neutral more shallow, and combos much easier, this is definitely the best entry for people who are looking to get into fighting games. Personally, I've gone back to SF4, Uniel, BBCF, and am eagerly awaiting T7.
