What game?

Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines

there's nothing quite like it user

there are other decent RPGs like Deus Ex and Witcher 1, but I'm not sure if they're comparable

vtmb thread?
on my first playthrough, tried to fight the bishop of the enlightened dudes and dealt 0 damage to him
is it too early for this or did I fuck up my character
in the main story I'm supposed to somehow nick the sarcophagus from the museum

what are you using? guns or melee?

I think you fucked up somewhere with your skill point allocation, specifically combat points. The Bishop is kinda notorious for being a difficult fight that early on but still, zero damage?

If you don't put any points into combat skills you're gonna have a hard time in some parts of the game. You can't talk / stealth / run your way out of some situations.
I don't remember your exact fight though

Sorry, Deus Ex is a great game and is the closest thing to this but even then it doesn't quite capture that feeling this game gives you

It's unique and that's part of what makes it so great but it also means that it leaves a void that can't be filled when you're done with it.

If it wasn't a buggy mess and the final third or so of the game didn't feel rushed it would probably be the GOAT.

You'd probably like Shadowrun: Dragonfall

I think it's seriously underrated

melee and ranged are both at 5
maybe I'm exaggerating with the 0 damage but it was really low

Use bloodbuff and smack him around with a knife or whatever. Should be able to kill him

Not OP but it's in my backlog and I'm afraid to play it because I'm so bad at tactical gameplay. Also I'm always anxious about putting points in the wrong things and making a useless build

At any rate you might wanna try to corner him and then slice him up with melee. You don't want him to zip around shooting at you

What clan are you?

...

I use a fire axe and that has been my technique so far but fuck me he's not helping with that shotgun of his, will try to use more bloodbuff and celerity and do as says

ISOLATED

toreador

It's great honestly. I've played through it so many times with just about every build.

Everything is viable in the game honestly, you can't really go wrong. Only thing I wouldn't recommend is a melee-focused build. Definitely possible but it would be hard for a first playthrough.

What other WOD rpg would make a decent wrpg if given the right treatment?

Then Celerity is what you want. I seriously hope you put points in it.

I've never gotten to this game because vampires are so goddamn faggy.

I think so, yeah
well, I'm at the museum now so in any case I might rake in some points to put into it if it's too low

i'm playing that right now and it's pretty fucking stupid, i'm going to open the head vampire coffin and never trust anyone etc etc

no really i can't bring myself to finish this shit past hollywood because why should I? i already see where it's going and i'm pretty sure where it's going to end

I let heather go because she was so clingy and she(and the dialogue options with her) creeped me out
did I dun gufd?

Watch out for the scary dinosaur

>i'm going to open the head vampire coffin
Yeah if you're a dumbass

You did the right thing, you can look up what happens to her if you don't let her go if you want

already past it, spooked me the fuck out lol

you got rid of a free blood source famm

>nosferatu violates the masquerade.jpg

>this masterpiece
Oh I'm laughing kid

when you get to the lasers look to your right and smack the panel

should've expected as much from a frogposter

I'm guessing she gets into some sort of trouble while running errands for me? or really complicates the plot because of a stupid thing she does for me?
you're saying that like getting blood was hard

nigga, they're all violating the masquerade

HOW DID I MAKE THIS CHOICE

I've played through the game like 10 times so I have a few tips.

Intimidation and Seduction suck compared to Persuasion

If you have Celerity, max that shit out.

Put at least two points in ranged even if you're playing a melee character.

Melee is great at the beginning of the game, not as much at the end.

Flamethrower is amazing but goes through ammo like a motherfucker and you can't carry much.

Don't put any points in hacking. Just look up passcodes on the internet. They're the same every playthrough.

Inspection isn't worth points either. Just be wary of your environment.

Finance is only really important if you're playing a gun character and using up a lot of ammunition. Or if you plan on using a lot of blood packs for whatever reason.

Auspex is good if you are going ranged. Otherwise not so much.

>she gets into some sort of trouble
big trouble

wait what

>ywn create the perfect goth/industrial soundtrack for the next Vampire game

>Just look up passcodes on the internet.

He's just a motherfucker in general to fight as he's just tough and his shotgun is hella dangerous paired with the constant zombie hoard.

I'm currently playing through this for the first time, and damn I can already see the replay value. Also the lore and the world is very fascinating.

>Don't put any points in hacking. Just look up passcodes on the internet.
goddamn son

W-What the fuck did he mean by this? I don't speak 1337.

I fully admit to being min/maxing scum.

also
>playing for the first time
>barely finished Grout's mansion
>already sad that I won't get to experience the game for the first time again
it may be weird, clunky and unpolished as shit but goddamn it's unique and fun

>Scudmuffin
I think I'm gonna steal this

That's when you replay it as a Malkavian.

I usually hate the whole "tape recorders for exposition" thing in video games but they were so well-written here that I didn't care.

Werewolf the Party: Puscircles

>ywn be a neet kindred spending your days shitposting on schrecknet

why even live

that's the plan, boss
right? not to mention Grout's VA is great

I just finished Grouts mansion myself and it was an odd experience. At least at the start. When Nines showed up his dialogue sounded weird, like it was low quality. And after talking with him my character got stuck in his walking animation. After I paused the game and unpaused it fixed itself. It's weird, but I'm still enjoying the game.

replayed recently with up 9.6plus. i have no idea why people bitch about the sewers. blasted through that with ease.

>his dialogue sounded weird
It's on purpose you'll see

yeah I'm also wondering what's up with Nines(or someone who looked like him) being there

Sounds interesting. I didn't pay it much mind because I went into this game knowing it'll be weird and buggy at times.

Have no choice but be isolated
Struggling, left alone, apart

didn't you notice his answers to your dialogue where kinda... off?

>Put at least two points in ranged even if you're playing a melee character.
I have played this game multiple times, and 90% of the time I use melee for the whole playthrough. It's good in the beginning, and it's good in the end when you get the katanas and shit. Which part do you think really requires ranged? also spoiler that shit because many people here are doing first time playthroughs.

camarilla ending best ending. anarchs can fuck off

i am no longer here

A bit yeah, he only told me not to go in the mansion. He also sounded scared, or that he didn't know me.

Witcher 3 / Deus Ex / Deus Ex Mankind Divided

You should give it another try. Vampires are individuals in this world. even if Jeanette is a rotten whore doesn't mean anyone else is (unless they have an agenda like that plaguebearer woman).

Were exploding radiators in the base game or did wesp add that?

what

should've added those two chicks from the second panel to the third panel

Anyone playing the 9.7 beta? How is it so far? Any new bugs? Are they game cripling

Go shoot radiators. I shot one in the astrolite mission and kaboom full on red barrel.

>that library mission added by the plus patch

Unlock the secret doom level in the basement and defeat Original the Character of Clan Badvoiceacting!

Didn't find the mission so bad. It can get you a katana earlier or a free Uzi

Oh. I think that was in vanilla because I remember some tuber doing it in a playthrough, although I can't be sure.

>autoshotgun with selery saves the day
what a fucking letdown. the fuck was wesp thinking?

keep playing

is a katana really that hard to get? you can get it from the chink vampire early on

That is a Shin Guto. Its a far weaker variant of the real katana.

>be Toreador
>max celerity, firearms and auspex
>use the flamethrower

Also why isn't the PC scared of fire?

that's one hell of a whaletale

same reason why Jack smokes

WAIT A MINUTE

Because you're on the other end of the fire.

What songs would you play in your LA vampire nightclub Sup Forums?

youtube.com/watch?v=o6ivT4dMx9k

Streetwalkers in high-rise panties and crop tops.

Why was 9.7 shit?

Something must have been fucked on my version because doing that only affected the first laser out of the set of them and I had no choice but to break into the cops box and disable them from in there.

Do I need dots in my post

>Lube

Silly, thats what blood points are for.

My favourites of course:

Guess Wesp5 was under pressure to make something and he shat out some bugfixes and called it a day. He is also running out of stuff to fix and add or modify.

>dancing wolf ending

well played , cunt

>asp
>not and one

youtube.com/watch?v=RPvtEJ2255s

bad joke, boss.

what's the best race to start out as first time?

i know not to go nosferatu

bugfixes are always welcome, it's not like he has unlimited content to restore

>race
Caitiff pleb

>Two Chicks

Anything but Malkavian and Nosferatu for the first time. Brujah, Gangrel and Toreador are quite combat oriented and celerity makes a lot of shit much easier.

ASP >>>>>> and one

:^)
