Only the braindead did.
Once I heard him say that they need hundreds of hours to make trailers because the game wouldn't generate what they wanted to show I knew what would happen.
>everyone
everyone but me, knew it would be shit when i heard it was procedurally generated
made me think of spore
No way he ever said this, plus there's no way it would be necessary. They just pre-baked the planets by manually tweaking values for the trailers to make them look better.
No, I don't. It was confirmed shit from day one. It blows my mind anyone could be interested in it in the slightest.
I remember hearing that he also said that, in order to have a skybox of different color, they asked programmers to rework the in-game periodic table or something ridiculous like that. Never cared to confirm that, but he said and shown enough bullshit to expect the obvious crapshoot:
youtube.com
>Everyone
I expected dogshit from the Joe danger crew and was right
But Joe Danger was good........
i said from day one that it was the same garbage as all the other open world, survival, crafting bullshit games
For a phone game
They certainly weren't going to make the single most ambitious game to ever be made
I'm sorry that you feel this way towards us. I'm sorry that No Man's Sky is such a bane to your existence. And I'm sorry that you are missing out on such a wonderful experience. Mostly, though, I'm sorry that you feel the need to go around and publicly chastise and berate others. I'm sorry that, to ensure your own validity, you need to make others feel invalid. I'm sorry that your self-worth is so infinitesimally miniscule that you have to make others feel less-than-human, at least in your own denatured mind, just to feel whole. I am truly sorry that day-in and day-out you have to put up with your worthless, meaningless, Shakespearean tragedy of a life.
I ask you politely to cease your unnecessary cries for attention, and instead invite you to join our ranks. Uninstall the 4th DLC for the annual Souls shovelware, start up No Man's Sky, and breathe in the splendour and the amazement of your first planet, and then, maybe, just maybe, you'll see what you've been so hopelessly searching for this whole time.
So anyway, No Man's Sky was destined to become a dud in hands of a small studio.
I want to believe Sean was here during the release meltdown
sorry, but any person with a slightest piece of social life to schedule around never care to visit this place, to pay attention to a bunch of rabid butt-fuck nobodies.
Are you trying to say Sean Murray isn't a hyper autistic loser? Because his interviews make him look like he's wearing a human suit and arguing with himself about how to act like a human. Guy is very unstable.
Autistic losers rarely do make millions
Speak for yourself.
I slightly feel bad for this motherfucker. He spent years on this game. It was the game he always wanted to make. It was his child. He's probably an alcoholic now.
At least he got some cash out of it.
>Because his interviews make him look like he's wearing a human suit and arguing with himself about how to act like a human. Guy is very unstable.
S-STOP DESCRIBING ME!!!!
He'll probably just swap the game industry to some adjacent stuff - he'll be fine.
>wonderful experience
I'm increasingly finding that this is how you know someone has lost the plot, if they refer to video games as "experiences." I know this post is pasta, but you see the "experience" gambit often enough, and nothing good ever comes from it.
>mfw I bought it for full price at release
kek
why didnt you just pirate it my nigga?
>tfw pirated it day 1
>the single most ambitious game to ever be made
Well, one of them went to work on Star Citizen
>mfw 2.5 gb download
How does anyone even get hyped for games anymore? How have they not become soulless after years of disappointment? Or is it always underage, shills and falseflaggers that make threads on Sup Forums.
When is the last time you got hyped? When is the last time a game delivered?
I got it for a Christmas gift and honestly I been having fun. I don't know why people wanted to overhype this thing so badly. Anyone that fell for shallow marketing and feels burnt should take the opportunity to learn from their mistakes.
>Falling for the "you can do anything" meme
Titanfall 2
I very clearly remember starting the whole hate circlejerk around this game on this very board.
>People actually fell for it
Only idiots.
Get a life
i never thought that
It wasn't so much the "You can do anything" But I like the idea of space exploration
The end result is just fucking terrible though. The progression is inventory slots. Which means Progression = Convenience
And fuck everything about that idea
Why is it that people spend so much time playing a game they don't like?
Only hype-swallowing idiots did. Anyone with common sense and some basic vidya intuition smelled the shit from miles away.
I thought it'd be pretty good back when it was announced, but the shitposting on Sup Forums opened my eyes.
Thank you for saving me from falling for yet another meme, Sup Forums.
Happy new year.
My time is worthless
Might as well make sure I really hate something
>needing shitposting to tell you that a game about exploration on a million, billion, squillion planets was going to be a turd
Well, it's something
