Honestly thought Kotor2 had worse writing. Outside of trying to subvert Star Wars it did not do anything interesting, very poor execution in terms of dialogue and plot and even character (fuck Kreia, Nihilus and Sion were jokes)

Character writing was great in TSL. KotOR had the more Star Wars-true 2 dimensional characters. Unfortunately TSL suffered from massive ODS- Obsidian Development Syndrome. Unfinished plot lines, cut cutscenes, rushed Planet development. I love both but they both have their strengths and weaknesses.

I get that they tried to make a Boba rip off, but why is his design so weird? Short, goggles always on, weird clothes.

The quality floor in Kotor 2 was higher, but the average and ceiling were much better in Kotor. Canderous and Jolee (both character and dialogue) are better than anything Kotor 2. Admittedly Carth is worse than anything in Kotor 2.

Perhaps if Obsidian had more time they could have made the necessary improvements, though even with the cut content I think Kotor 2 is massively overrated by fans. Especially by your average codexer/neofag/v/irgin.

The most >BioWare thing about this is that you can't kill him. If he had the same stats as he does when you fight him later on Taris, and it were possible to kill him and alter the story, Taris would be impossibly better.

There's nothing wrong with not being able to kill him. It's fun

Him being overleveled would be fine, but he's actually immortal, and just for that scene.
