Does Kain really have a legacy worth building upon?
As much as I like the guy, I found myself questioning this while comparing him to some of the more recent dragoons, or those with dragoon abilities.I think his story is certainly one to consider but nothing really stands out in terms of ability, although that isn't captured nearly as well in the original game (maybe in the After Years and in Duodecim). And of course, you have his weapon as homage in some later games; some versions can even confuse enemies (lol).
Michael Nelson
I never really cared that much about Dragoons, why Jump when you can just stab a dude twice?
Nathan Ortiz
>Ninjafags
Chase Hall
Jumping temporarily removes them from combat which can be a boon to the party. Also it tends to do a minimum of double damage that may be further enhanced, especially to airborne enemies.
Dylan Torres
Damn straight!
Adrian Green
he has a legacy as a cuck
Evan Wood
Shadow was unlikeable asà fuck though
Eli Collins
>Does Kain really have a legacy worth building upon? WHAT IF A COIN LANDS ON ITS EDGE?
Carson Moore
This, holy dragoon was cool though
John Reyes
not really. he was just a fag who got mind controlled and cucked by his own best friend.
Justin Roberts
Why was he the logo for the game?
Joshua Morris
Come on, he loves his puppy and Relm! He's a nice guy!
Grayson Ward
But he'd slit his own mama's throat for a nickel!
James Martin
His legacy is built upon his rad design, that's literally it.
Noah Taylor
Nah, not for one nickel, but two
Tyler Ortiz
DAMN YOU KAIN! YOU ARE NOT GOD!
Thomas Clark
Kain is by far the most iconic Dragoon and the one everyone instinctively thinks of when hearing the word. I hate the betraying bastard to the core and it applies to me too.
I always think of Edward being the Dragoon of VI. I like Mog to be magic focused
Jaxon Bennett
His legacy will be the one of a man that got cucked to death and exile by his childhood friend/adoptive brother.
But at least he have a cool armor and can jump very high.
Austin Flores
Freya and Kimahri are both furfags and therefore in the lowest tier possible. Anyone who likes them should burn in hell.
Joseph Jackson
oh fug, *Edgar
Josiah Mitchell
But Edgar has his tools.
Ian Bennett
Edgar got the boots for me too, it feels so natural for him to have a spear, but people tend to depict Mog as the one for some reason, so whatever.
I also see that accidentally didn't put Lightning in brackets to show it's a Job, well Schema. Sorry about that.
Hunter Wilson
Mog has his geomancy dances, as well.
Both Edgar and Mog had spears as their best weapons, so it isn't unreasonable.
Hunter Murphy
How does it benefit the party? They can't get hit with party-wide buffs and one of the best armored classes is being a pussy while the less armored ones have to take the hit.
James Murphy
I don't recall Kain being very tanky.
Easton Anderson
On the other hand, they aren't taking damage from full-party attacks and, at least in earlier versions, enemies that were targeting Kain right before he jumped end up missing because there's nobody there anymore.
Bentley Garcia
>How does it benefit the party? They can't get hit with party-wide buffs They also avoid total party wipe attacks. Also, that one Golbez fight becomes significantly easier if you can manage to jump in time. You should know which fight I'm referring to.
Grayson Young
>kain >legacy He's practically been deified.
Cooper Thompson
I like Kain, but there's no denying that he's a cuck.
