ITT: bad/mediocre games people pretend are good.

I've seen people saying it's better than SMW

What's bad/mediocre about it? I thought it was pretty amazing.

It's more flawed than SMW but it's more creative and aesthetically pleasing. It takes full advantage of the SNES hardware.

Not a bad game by any means.

...

Most overrated shit on this board

>horrible aiming system
>that floaty bicycle jump no one likes
>emphasis on collecting, but many flowers are straight up invisible until you stumble upon it and levels are even more linear than SMW's
>literally easier than a kirby game
It would be regarded as another mediocre snes platformer if it wasn't a mario game

...

It would be better if it didn't have bottomless pits. I'm fine with obstacles coming out of nowhere in Sonic because 95% of the time you have the rings to survive, but this game has pits out the asshole that don't work for its formula.

Truth. Sonic 3 and Knuckles was way better

I'll add
>definition of "style over substance"
>Yoshi is for fags
>worst music in the series
Considering that it's a direct sequel to SMW and the snes's swan song, everything about it is profoundly disappointing.

so yoshi story is what you want

>literally easier than a kirby game
You have no idea what you are talking about

>yoshi story
>not easier than a kirby game

Wat. One of the only platformers I enjoy.

that's what killed the entire advance series for me
you fill in those gaps and the games are instantly better

It is easy.

However, if you try melon-only run it becomes oneof the hardest platformers you've ever played.

I hated this game.
It doesn't deserve the SMW title.

this board has the worst taste that I have seen, jesus christ kys kill your selves.

...

It was a fun game to 100% and the bosses were really creative and fun. It surprises me that people hate this game. I guess it's just people who were expecting a Super Mario World 2 and got a Yoshi game.

>horrible aiming system
Get gud my friend

it gets praise for filling the high school fantasy niche. as a point-and-click adventure it's objectively 6/10.
