This any good? I just bought the regular edition. I do enjoy stealth games but iv'e never played this and was wondering if maybe it would have been better to try out the 2nd game instead?

Is this a good game or is it just easy triple A trash? also is the DLC any good?

DLC is better than the base game.

it's shit
so is the second one

It's good unless you're one of those people that goes "WOAH WHAT WHY DO I GET THIS ENDING IF I DO THING THAT LEADS TO THIS ENDING"

I haven't played the dlc but everyone here says it's better than the base game

Great rebuttle! would you care to elaborate why or are you just a bored troll today?

let me guess LOLXDSOTRIGGEREDLMAOTROLLING!!!

Great game, It has some genuine rpg aspects and decent gameplay. I didn't play the sequel though.

It's good, but the first game has pretty ass balance outside of the dlc.
The main story, if you use blink, is pathetically easy. But then the environments aren't designed very well for if you choose to not use powers at all.

The dlc keeps in mind the idea that you're going to abuse powers a lot, so it throws much more challenging enemies at you. On the other hand, there's very little opportunity to not use powers at all in the dlc without feeling like you'll get shit stomped by witch dogs.

The sequel has much better balance I'd argue, where any of the missions feel like you could definitely accomplish them without powers due to the improved tools and crossbow, but it also manages to have a bit of a challenge for power users too from time to time.

I'd highly recommend both.

It's like Crysis, you're a fool if you play it as a stealth game

No, you're a fool if you play it as a traditional stealth game.
You should abuse the fuck out of powers, such as domino chaining 4 people by knocking one out with a chloroform bottle, or making guards run into bloodfly nests etc.

It's also super fun to break the game with bone charms.
A quadruple shadow walk charm will essentially let you last in the form for a minute. Combine that with the upgrade that speeds it up, and you can essentially ghost through entire levels

Great game, excellent DLC.

I just replayed it (in preparation for the new one), and it's so organic. You can handle things in so many ways, and you're almost never railroaded

Kinda, but I loved that Corvo was a silent protag

Shitty series that punishes you if you want to have fun, stay far away.

>is this game that I just bought any good?

Why don't you play and see for yourself you fucking retard?

>Is this game that I already bought good?
Kill yourself

Keep in mind that the DLC is necessary if you want to know who the hell the antagonist of Dishonored 2 is supposed to be.

Maybe if you post a third time another person might agree with you.

...

Probably my favorite stealth game. It's a bit hand holdy at first, but quickly it gets ridiculous in the amount of different ways you can approach a situation.

Abilities add a whole other layer to the game. There's routes that you can only take with certain abilities unlocked, like possessing the target to transport her to a place where you can then give her to a creep who's in love with her.

It's bretty good. Play stringent non-lethal if you want to play properly.

>regular edition
you fucked up lad, what a horrible way to start the new year
steam refund and get the GOTY

The main story is very simple but the lore and characters are fleshed out in books and conversations that are overheard.
If you kill people, you will increase the rat plague in the city. This will lead to a darker ending.

Fuck you, there was a Video someone did doing a bunch of crazy shit with Dishonored mechanics simply by abusing the physics engine, and now I can't find it again

Just watch a non-lethal speedrun. That covers most of it.

...

It was using the base game, and it was a youtuibe video, but yeah, something along those lines

it's pretty good i played it 4 times
