Some Brazilians made a ICO clone for the ps3/xb360/pc iirc
There's a not so bad Brazilian mmo
Brazilians crated Lua, the go to scripting language for lots of things (including vidya)

dunno about the others

Only BRs have made worthwhile stuff and only if you like indieshit.

Venezuelans made that weeb game Valhalla which has quite a following here on Sup Forums.

Brazilians also made that other weeb game called Momodora, which I have seen some people posting here and there.

No idea about everyone else.

some purchases, and piracy.

Some BRs were suposeddly doing pic related, but the rumours say they just ran away with Sony's money.

>tfw the biggest event for national devs is actually a honey pot to trap them into abusive deals were they give away all rights over their product for chump change
Or at least it was like that when I stoppped keepiing up with hueland's vidya bussiness

FIFA and PES sales I guess.

t. Chilean.

>BR: Momodora
>Venezuela: Vallhalla
>Chile: Zeno Clash

Kerbal Space Program

>There's a not so bad Brazilian mmo
Taikodom?
It ended last year IIRC

Venezuela made Crazy Bus btw

think that kerbal space game came from mexico

ACE Team is based in Chile. Pretty good track record.

Was suppose to be a Sony exclusive, they took ages and fucked around, Sony backed out.

They are apparently still making it.

>the only thing Argentina has contributed to the vidya industry was a shitty master of orion """remake"""
>meanwhile everyone else is releasing cool shit, even Venezuela

...

fucking steps aside sons

I remember a BR psp game about the devil trying to get out of hell. forgot the name.

Why are south americans better at weeb games and artstyles than americans?

I have been enjoying some Mexican games

So, how are my BRos spending the new Year?

This is being made by a spanish studio (Tequila Works)
And they just ended their contract with Sony, but the game is still in development

Brazilian here, we created the Lua programming to pay for our sins we committed in the free MMOs.

This is more than most countries from Europe can show off.

>Some Brazilians made a ICO clone for the ps3/xb360/pc iirc
You wish, Toren was actually released for the PS4/PC.
It wasn't that bad a game. The devs were visibly inexperienced, the controls were pretty clunky (I guess they really wanted the SotC audience) and it looked outdated, but not bad for the first game of a small indie studio.

>Spanish Studio
>It's called Tequila Studio

Explain this Spaniards

DELETE THIS

>SA contribution is a weeb waifu eletronic book and a weeb waifu clone of other games.
>Meme Dora the explorer protagonist is a canadian anime girl on top of that
>hues are so ashamed of their nationality that they put their internet aliases on the credits instead of their real names

Never though non-BRs (or at least non-south americans) would name things after alcoholic beverages. Sorry for being wrong

it's un our blood, I suppose anime was pretty mainstream back in the 90s, with Dragon Ball, Saint Seiya, Captain Tsubasa, Doctor Slump, Sailor Moon, Ranma 1/2 and others getting aired in open television, which allowed them to get a large following, specially the first three

Chill dude, you guys are all latinos anyway

At least Argentina is white

SKUNT

What have they contributed to the games industry?

Friendly reminder that Hatsune Miku is Mexican

youtube.com/watch?v=yVz_xd_JtEA

That is true, my aryanfriend.

Anime was insanely popular in the 90'
It's normal to see thugs wearing Dragon Ball stuff.

>be latino kid
>90's tv was literally filled with voluptuous showgirls in every variety or comedy show
>which was on all the time
>turn that shit off and play super nintendo
>grow up finding none of this unusual
it's great to not be a prude and shrugging off censorship scandals in vidya.

;_;

kek here too

Here's the real question, what have they contributed to gaming other than tech support?

They have one billion people, there's bound to be some cool indie gems, right?

Argentina made Okhlos, its not much really, but i like the art very much
store.steampowered.com/app/400180/?l=spanish
also chilean´s zeno clash are good too

Rage of the Dragons was a pretty decent KOF clone between a Mexican and Japanese studios, I kinda want a sequel for that game but I know it's impossible

I love how we have almost zero political correctness in the country and the people that are complaining about those issues are some small minorities

I love Rage of the Dragons OST

Well, we're huge consumers, it is fastly becoming the one of the most important markets in the world for the industry.

gamesindustry.biz/articles/2016-11-01-latin-america-will-generate-usd4-1bn-in-2016-newzoo

Too bad all major companies treat us like dirt. Nintendo doesn't even has an office in the region, leaving all important decisions to it's distributor, Latamel, a company based in Panama. Microsoft is the one most involved, but because its video game endeavor comes bundled with its Windows/Office/Hardware business. And while Sony does have offices (and stores), it is more interested in pushing its other electronics.

>Latamel, a company based in Panama

What the fug? Latamel is Mexican

Argentina invented bypass surgery, which allowed fat first world game developers to make games without dying after a Doritos overdose.

Don't mind he.
Dumb Portugueses can't find their way out of a paper bag even with a map and help from the three other dudes. He probably things South America is a single country named mexico

Dear Latin America,
At least you're half white half native, and not dirty brown like Africa, or India.
Also your food is pretty good too,

Nope, it's main office is in Panama. The offices in Mexico -if they can be called that, since not even the guards at the office building entrance know Latamel's headquarters are there- are just a branch of the main company.

...

Besides, ya know, the internet and computers?

Nice, I had no idea Kerbal Space Program was Mexican.

How do you know that? Each time i search for Latamel, i got it's a Mexican company,

>half native

Love this meme

Y'all are about as close to white as brownies can get, at least feel proud about that.

>Tfw Nintendo doesn't care for Latin America (except Mexico)

I've Worked twice in the media as a video game reporter. Before that, as a consumer I've contacted Nintendo directly on various occasions and that was their answer. That, and basic internet skills:

Latamel Inc. Costa del Este Business Park
Avenida Principal y Ave la Rotonda Edificio Este, Piso 5 Costa del Este
Panama

> Nintendo caring about Mexico

>tfw Im the son of a japanese man who married a curvy latina

I look like a motherfucking gyaru

Based Mexicans

At least more than South America, yes.

We have E-shop

>Nintendo
>Cares about Mexico
Sure... They treat us like dirt. During the amiibo craze they even sent amiibos earmarked for Mexico -or Latin America- to the United States.

reddit.com/r/amiibo/comments/2swq53/does_your_amiibo_has_this_legend_on_the_bottom/

>PES
>implying

It's dead bucko

>tfw white south american
>My mere existence triggers Sup Forums memers and SJWs retards

Feels good

It's not like Latin America cares about Nintendo so whatever.

>Being proud of being white.
How pathetic are you? Being proud of your culture is great but the color of you skin? What? You either have no culture aka gringo or you are just an idiot.

And so does Brazil. Only for the 3DS though

Same here, my white friend

Latin America is PC territory.

DELET THIS

ehhhhhh, a lot of Mexicans and Central Americans play Nintendo, and Xbox, aside from the loaned PS2 games, Playstation is nonexistant.

this, my white friend

My father is Italian, my mother is Japanese and I was born in Brazil. Explain this.

If I create a video game, that means I create that video game and not the country where I was born.

South America is just one gigantic orgy where all ethnic groups go to fuck and breed.

Tfw I will always be a dirty little sudaca and pirate everything. I will never be a rich American gringo. Why live?

>Be watching TV on a lazy Saturday afternoon
>On a local TV network they are showing a Brazilian movie about a native girl from the Amazon searching for whoknowwhat.
>Cute brown loli that goes almost topless -her hair covers her nipples- most of the movie.

They show it from time to time, but I can't stand the movie. The loli is cute. imdb.com/title/tt0383001/

Yup pretty much.

At least here in Chile, Nintendo was always overpriced while Sega was cheap as dirty but once the Playstation came here, both hit the ground.

Im kinda happy about that, all the people I know who grow up with nintendo are fucking idiot while everybody else use Playstation and PC and enjoy a very wide range of games.

Alot of Asians live in South America and here in the south here you have Germans

>My father is Italian, my mother is Japanese
Easy.
Shit ton of Italians in Argentina, I think moreso than the Spaniards, kinda like how the US has more german heritage than british.
And Brazil has the largest group of Japanese people outside of Japan, they came before WWII and were used as cheap labor once the Dindu Nuffins were freed.

I have a another one, my father is basque and my mother is iranian.

my father is italian.
My mom's dad was half portuguese half spanish and her mon is german.
That makes me mongrel supreme (also, there's irish blood somewhere in there)

...

>my father is basque and my mother is iranian
You're adopted

I don't research Allah land.

this is true because console game are overpriced as fuck in latin american countries. The only reasonable way to play games is to build a half decent gaming pc and pirate every single game that comes out.

this of course

i love this logo

playing vice city

>latin american
>look like one of trumps kids
>look like an outsider everywhere I go
at least I'll not be stopped by purge police when I jump over the wall

es hora?

You sure? I see huge "Vive en Estado Play" PlayStation billboards and tons of Sonyfags all the time.

si

How is South America represented in gaming?

I wish we could have games exploring ancient pyramids

They should make more waifu games.

I fucking loved momodora rutm, wish it was longer

There was that Max Payne 3, it did a good job representing Brazil. It mixed São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro in the same city, but it was very authentic.

naaah they looked at mauá and thought it was são paulo

It's always a fucking jungle or some slums from Rio.

Post pic
