Probably. But I'm holding judgement till I know it's region-free and powerful enough to run 3rd party games. Hopefully this info will be shared on Jan 12
Yes because I like Nintendo games even though the Wii U was relatively fucking shit
Fuck no. If this thing is legit their next handheld then I do hope it's at least a modest success, but that probably still won't be enough to portable devs from moving to fucking mobile phones. arghhhhhhh why couldn't the vita have succeeded
I've had more fun on handhelds than consoles the last 2 gens so I'm glad Nintendo is spending all it's time on one piece of hardware that I can carry around
Of course it'll be powerful enough to run third party games, unless by that you mean Bone/PS4 multiplats in which case absolutely not and you might as well give up on that dream now. The gulf between this thing and even the bone is bigger than the gulf between the Wii and the 360, and multiplats had to be so fucked with that gen they weren't even the same fucking game. Remember Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop?
unless there's some serious reasons that aren't zelda, no. I haven't enjoyed Zelda since Windwaker came out, I honestly don't really know why people still care other than nostalgia of liking OoT/MM/WW
If from porta souls over I'd get it earlier, if they never do, I'll get in a few years
Yes. I really like the games they've announced so far.
Mario Kart 8 is my favorite MK so far and I still pick it up to play a few races to this day, so seeing it get even more new stages is pretty exciting.
Bump
Nintendo should focus on creating innovative games instead of new gimmicks for their consoles.
Well I liked the 3ds and I hated the dual screen gimmick so of course.
Stop shilling
not likely, maybe after it gets piracy and good big library
Well, to be honest we don't know the specs of it. Sure, I have a feeling it's not gonna be too powerful but I'll wait till I know for sure. By 3rd party games I mean games that run on ps4 and Bone. And apparently it's able to run Dark Souls 3. Also the new Dragon Quest is coming out for the Switch. How they run and look though is something we will have to wait and see. But if it's a bad as, or worse, than the 360 to Wii games then what's even the point?
If it has games I want to play then yes.
sleep snug smug
Yes. Probably day one if they have a zelda/decent rpg.
If it's just a shitty mario game like the Wii U/3DS had, then I'll wait a while.
Absolutely. At launch if BotW launches with it.
>Are you going to pay $300 for the Wii U 2: Cheese You Can Take Outside Edition
I'll pirate the Wii U version of BotW and call it a day.
I actually think devs moving to mobile would be great if every game still had controller support. The potential market is so large that even niche games could sell reasonably well.
>literally no shilling in OPs post
what?
Ya, Nintendo cycle
NEW console announced
Morons say it's gonna mean a new direction for Nintendo
See limp release schedule
Wait three years after release
Pick it up to see all the games everyone was taking about
Play it for like 4 hours and regret it
Repeat
Anyone who thinks the Switch is even going to outsell the Vita, let alone the Wii U, is flat out delusional and needs to seek mental help.
>Yes. I really like the games they've announced so far.
Time to find a different board, normie.
>paying $300 for new stages in a game you'd have to rebuy for another $60
I am most likely going to get it eventually just like I got the 3ds at the end of its life-span when it got fully hacked. I'm really enjoying the thing. Depending on the Jan 12 presentation I might get it at launch since I've got the money for it anyway. It would be the first time since the n64 that I got a console at launch.
Already got it on pre-order tbf
>region free
>Nintendo, as of recent
Nah dude.
You realize mobile has more negatives than just bad controls, right? No mobile game has the depth, length, or amount of content as games made for a dedicated video game platform. Mobile games are made to play in short bursts, so that's what devs design them for. They're also all freemium shit, because phonefags won't pay up front to have a game not filled with microtransaction horseshit. See the reaction to Mario Run.
Why in the fucking hell do you keep making multiple of these threads?
Where the fuck do you pre-order a Switch?
Not at launch, I'll only even consider that for Splatoon 2. I'll get it eventually for FE, SMT, TMS#FE, and Metroid.
GAME in the UK
>there are people who are seriously so deluded by Sup Forums that they can't see the signs that the switch is going to be a success
embarrassing, normies already fucking love the thing
This to be desu.
Probably not, though unlike the 3DS, I will at least not consider it an impossibility.
I know, I know. It's scares me too. But I hope they've learned their lesson. I mean, they flew on a plane in the Switch trailer. So are they telling me that I can bring their console, with a portable feature mind you, to Japan or the US but I can't buy any games for it in that country while I'm there? That makes no sense.
Yes, I know the 3DS is region-locked too...
Aren't pre orders available on announcement date in every country?
Yes. I buy every Nintendo console. Some are better than others, but I've never been let down yet.
Depends how many days I have to camp out to get one.
Shit will be sold out instantly everywhere.
>Zelda BotW
>3D Mario
>MK8+
>Splatoon+
???
Depends if the games are good, not buying it launch. And neither should anyone else unless you are a nintendo diehard and want to see another wii sales wise.
I like it that much.
And since the thing comes with two (shitty) controllers included, then maybe I'll be able to play multiplayer without motion controls on a Wii Remote.
Yup. I spend my money frivolously.
If this thing is region locked it will be a deal breaker.
DUDE I HOPE THEY PORT (WII U GAME)
I LOVE PLAYING THE SAME GAMES FOR 4 TO 5 YEARS
WHAT
A
TREAT
yes, although probably not immediately
i'll give it a few months to get a bigger catalog of games
Not day one but I probably will if it gets good games from 3rd parties since I like my handhelds.
CTYD was better than the original tho.
Probably day one. Depends on the January presentation, but to be honest I'm pretty easily impressed. I have a lot of faith in Nintendo to make good games.
Probably, but it depends on the launch line-up and pricing. I really hope Nintendo doesn't pull another fucking NES Classic/Wii/Amiibo shit and release it in limited quantities.
Nintendo's consoles are the ones I will always buy.
Yeah, with mom and dad's money
I'll get it when it has at least 5 good games on it that aren't on the other consoles.
Same goes for PS4
no console has 5 good games that arent on others
...
Depending on the price and the games announced for it, yes. Not at launch though.
poll time!! strawpoll.me
name one, at least in the current gen there arent any
Wii U
I hate it when people make multiple strawpolls, but this time I felt like I had to.
At least do a good one.
strawpoll.me
Yes
looking forward to it.
>The gulf between this thing and even the bone is bigger than the gulf between the Wii and the 360
Last I checked it's going to be half as powerful as Bone, which wouldn't make the gulf bigger.
I get all Nintendo consoles. Minus stuff like the VB or NES mini.
Yes. When I get it and whether I buy it pre-owned or not will depend on what I see during the presentation.
>half as powerful
Kek no chance in hell of that, the X1 isn't even half as powerful as the Xbone at full clock, it's going to be extra anaemic at 1/3rd the clock.
