What are you honest opinions about your EXPERIENCE of the game?
Do you still feel a phantom pain knowing it has ended?
How much did you enjoy the game?

Biggest disappointment 2015.
Watch Dogs 2 has better and more diverse stealth gameplay than MGSV, and is a far better game overall.
Fucking fight me I am dead serious.
What disappointed you?
No problem for you to feel another game has better and more divers stealth gameplay.
But in this video you can't even infiltrate the compound because of the directive of the mission.
How diverse can gameplay be if you must do EXACTLY as told?
Absolutely godlike engine
Great controls
Empty open world, more like a giant void with points of interest on them
Story had some fundamentally great ideas 'Effect of language on warfare' then went full fucking nanomachine retarded with parasites
Overall I enjoyed it but it was a lot of wasted potential. I think a linear game would have been far better for Kojima since he cant handle the scope that open worlds games need in terms of actually creating an interesting and evolving world. Even something basic like having mujahedin moving around fighting soviets on the map randomly would have made the game infinitely better.
>Has MGSV ruined videogames?
No, but Skyrim has.
And MGSV was fun but thin. That would've been fine if Kojima hadn't been pretending it was going to have a really deep story the whole period up to release. Like if the trailers had focused more on the gameplay elements, he wouldn't have been misleading everyone. I think the fallout from MGSV is like 80% because of reaction to false advertising.
Everyone thought they were getting MGS, but they were actually picking up third-person Far Cry 3: Afghanistan Edition. Which is a decent game, but not the one it says it was on the box.
I said Watch Dogs 2, not the original. Huge difference.
>Watch Dogs 2 has better
Stop
I would consider myself a fan of metal gear
Reviewers should be castrated for their blatant fanboyism. It doesn't deserve half the score
The game was literally turd. Nothing got me more mad in 2015
>false advertising.
I think they just really hyped up the return of Big Boss but I think what effected the game and people's reaction. Well some people desu was the lack of cut scenes in the story. I don't think many people bothered to listen to the tapes as well which added to that.
Yes, I agree with that open world. But I think people think open world and expect exploration.
The matter of it being open world meant open stealth. Open options of infiltration and tactics.
Open world just provided the freedom to infiltrate as you would like.
When it comes down to it each base is pretty much a self contained level desu.
I overall enjoyed it up till Chapter 2, though had misgivings.
I dropped it in complete disgust three missions into Chapter 2. I went into MGSV directly after playing Snake Eater for the first time, so in general for me MGSV was basically an enormous disappointment from the word 'Go.'
MGSV was boring as fuck and the Fox Engine was wasted on it.
MGR is the true swan song of the series.
The gameplay was amazing early on but got ruined by not placing any limits on snake, less than halfway through the game everything was so easy you had to handicap yourself to make it interesting.
The story was an absolute fucking mess from beginning to end, I didn't think Kojima could do worse than MGS4.
MGS3 still best Metal Gear overall, Ground Zeroes best Metal Gear minute for minute, despite it's pricing issues.
TPP Could've been the best game ever made if it delivered the narrative and gameplay quality of Ground Zeroes but for thirty to fourty hours.
Feels bad.
It does. I honestly believe it to be a better game than MGSV. More stealth options, equally open level design, and a far better open world.
>MGR
true swan song
Nothing to do with MGS V. You just like those hack/slash games better.
Why did you drop it though? If you enjoyed the 3rd then you would probably appreciate the 2nd one as well.
I can agree with you that I enjoyed MGS 3 more than MGS V and also the same with Ground Zeroes as well.
If MGS V had more cut scenes and not open world it would probably have been perfect in my opinion.
Nobody has mentioned the graphics so far. They were truly exceptional
>Nobody has mentioned the graphics so far. They were truly exceptional
Are you joking? The game looked like dog shit. Especially the African area.
I don't think I would have cared about how disappointing it was if it wasn't for the whole fiasco at Konami that's essentially leading us to the Fox Engine being wasted.
MGS5 is a good piece of framework for the new generation.
Ubishill, stop it. Its a new year, cant you give it a fucking rest.
I thought the controls were dumb. I hated sticky cover, weapon limits and one slot permanently being your robot hand because they didn't design the UI to be able to switch between more than 4 weapons, even if you're doing sorties as another soldier. Crawling was also very finicky and Sneak loved to stand up for no reason a lot.
I didn't like how not every mission got a european extreme, hard mode and subsistance version.
Open world was done as poorly as any other game. Nothing to do between major points of interest, there weren't enough sprawling indoor locations and 360 degree access to bases didn't provide more infiltration options it just made every place feel the same. I did like that temple/cave system though that was so fun for me that I always need to mention it when I think about it.
Story was non existent and painfully unfinished.
The mission structure is very much not suited to completionist playstyles you will want to fucking kill yourself from all the repetitiveness.
Enemies dynamically changing their equipment was the worst fucking decision and ruined the game for me. No matter what you do 5 hours into the game every other enemy is wearing full body armor and equipment with shotguns and the only viable strategy is armor piercing rifles.
The game looked outstanding for what it was. "Z fighting textures in an obscure hard to see location" is the name of the game for open world and MGSV was no exception.
You honestly don't expect anyone that have played the game to take you seriously? Or do you?
How am I wrong? Have you even played it?
Truly, exceptional
>I didn't like how not every mission got a european extreme, hard mode and subsistance version.
The challenge of those made it so fucking fun
>Open world was done as poorly as any other game.
It was only open world so you could infiltrate as you saw fit
>No matter what you do 5 hours into the game
This is blatantly incorrect.
1280x720
riiiiiiiiight
i hated it for the first 20 main missions, then loved it after mission 21. I really hate that they got rid of codec conversations for tapes, but i liked Kaz's performance. I also feel that Ocelot was completely underutilized. This is the guy that orchestrated most of the games, and you barely have any dialog with him to get any real motive or personality from him.
The game is in a fucking desert I fucking hate those maps. Sand is shit and open world games are annoying as fuck.
Great controls and engine wasted on a giant pile of shit.
I was underwhelmed with ocelot too
>resolution is the sole determing factor in a game's graphics
You don't honestly think the game is good looking, do you? It looks terrible. Are you blind?
what you posted isn't what the game looks like bub
polygon.com
It's the only Metal Gear Solid that I didn't finish. Frankly after how bad it was I'm glad Konami is only focusing on pachinko shit and that one piece of trash Metal Gear Survive.
Are you saying those screenshots look good?
Lol. Ok, just keep posting and making me chuckle.
wow, I cant believe i actually straight up won an argument
>It looks terrible. Are you blind?
nigger you are retarded
MGR is a shallow game with meems. a game just needs meems for your retards to praise it.
How am I retarded? How on earth do people think this game looks "truly exceptional" jesus fucking christ I feel like im taking crazy pills
You're retarded
>Do you still feel a phantom pain knowing it has ended?
No, but I do still a pain because of the way it ended. I have to force myself to remember all the good things about the game that I enjoyed for like 50 hours instead of just hating on it all the time.
A big disappointment. Probably the biggest disappointment in video games since Bioshock Infinite
