What's the best mech games available for PC?
What's the best mech games available for PC?
Mechwarrior: Living Legends. It's 100% free and has recently been getting more players. It's like Mechwarrior Online but not shit.
Still waiting on a release of armored core onto PC.
Tamagotchi World
Neat, Downloading now
Shogo.
Shogo sucked dick.
Have you tried Hawken?
Hawken sucked dick
Mechwarrior Online
Heavy Gear Assault just released. I'm still trying to determine if it's good though.
See It was just a bland fps and the aesthetic was too clean
Mechwarrior Online. Despite the incompetent devs and the grubby business tactics, the core game-play of stompy robots is great.
im a mech irl
i wonder if rising thunder would have ended up being good
That's why I still have faith in Mechwarrior 5. Online may be maximum Jew and grindy as hell, but the gameplay is great and maps are generally good. Now that they're using UE4 for MW5 I think the gameplay will be even more solid.
MWO is good all things considered
just do some research to figure out what mech you want because it takes forever to grind
on a new account you get a lot of currency from playing your first 25 games so you can afford a good mech (or get most of the way there at least) but after that it's a long grind
I actually created like 3-4 accounts when I started so I could test out a couple different mechs before I settled on one.
i recommend a heavy mech like Timberwolf for new players
>im a mech irl
Fucking attention whore
Cockpit or gtfo
check this shizzle
Same here. Hope its good so this series will get the widespread appeal. Too long since a good mech game. The new Battletech looks great too.
>Timber wolf
Noob
>UE4
The engine doesn't make the game good, the developer does.
Well some features were lostech because the devs did not know how to make Cryengine work. So here is hoping UE4 will simplify the process for them.
Timberwolf is the best starter mech because it's the most versatile one in the game and one of the most expensive so if you buy it with your starter bonus you won't have to grind ages later on to get one.
No, but UE4 is vastly superior to Cryengine which the devs have long admitted to being a mistake and gave them a lot of trouble for the first few years.
It was good until they made the mechs into class based shitshows. You used to be able to make a brawler with over 1000 by adding points into health and leaving damage and defense normal.
Now they said fuck all that, and just gave the brawler some faster regenerating health in shield mode, and made it 50% weaker when shot from behind in shield mode. They completely removed the customization system.
They did this kind of shit with all the mechs to the point that the only customization is cosmetic. It may as well be a dead mech overwatch now, as there is no way to change the way your mech plays, unless you pick an entirely different mech with different weapons and everything.
I don't remember WHEN they fucked it up, but I remember it was MUCH better in the first and second closed beta. Fucking faggot developers ruining everything man.
>UE4 is superior
Neither is superior to the other. Especially judging by what other developers have been able to shit out along with taking into consideration upcoming games. Cryengine was a mistake because PIGGY are a shitty developer.
BRIGADOR
>shogo sucked dick
my man.
Threadly reminder.
I prefer my mechs with a little bit of THIICCC on them. Dainty little Japs mechs do not fit this criteria.
What's this then?
Hawken was fucking great, or at least it was a couple years back when I used to play it
...
Dead is what it is.
What a shame.
Some dead Vaporware based off the Muv-Luv VN.
>that hud
im glad its dead
I know that spoonfeeding is discouraged but my inner weeb can't resist. What is it from?
don't worry it's vaporware
Is Project Nimbus worth the 10 bucks?
Brigador is p good
My fav mech experience (unless you count the crescent hawk's revenge)
Awesome game for its time, though I doubt it holds up well.
>Gundam Breaker 3 will never be released on the pc
>you will never mod in all your favourite obscure mechs
It's not a bad game but the first chapter gives you a super op mech.
Remember that one NCSOFT mecha mmo game whatever it was called. I fucking loved that game, not sure why the cancelled it.
because it's ncsoft and they can't find a way to make money off it
OP, what is it that you posted? Which gundam game?
Mobile Suit Gundam Online, you can play on the taiwanese servers now so you wont need a vpn
Thanks buddy
correction, if it aint pulling big numbers or stays slightly behind WOW it needs to be killed immideatly.
I always preferred earth/star siege to mechwarrior. Too bad they killed it in favor of tribes.
I don't think I played a mech sim since the original steel battalion. Most mech games I played after that were just mech themed action games, and that just ain't the same. Also mech themed strategy games.
Simulation isn't popular enough. All the devs need to make some sort of action bastardization to make any money and garner a playerbase.
Wouldn't mechs be highly inefficient when compared to tanks? Unless we are talking about Gundams.
Depends on who you ask. Both sides of the argument are usually at each other's throats.
in space it's it would be better to use something with manipulators to and directional armor. on ground where it's pretty much 2D combat most of the time tank is enough.

>"no results found for 'mechwarrior 3' "
>"no results found for 'steel battalion' "
what the fuck Sup Forums ?
>Steel battalion
yeah had been sitting on this page for twenty minutes
You can play Gundam Vs Gundam Next Plus on PPSSPP
Project HON
It was canceled because of the Rift lawsuit debacle and ncsoft had to cut costs. Since it was just announced and Wildstar was already so far along in development they canceled it to focus money on Wildstar.
So you can thank two big ol pieces of shit ass games for getting something that looked amazing canceled.
