I've gone pretty much entirely digital and it depresses the hell out of me. New games in Canada are $79.99 which is ridiculous enough but Newfoundland has a fucking 15% sales tax on top of that which brings it to around 95 dollars by the time it's all said and done. I've switched to digital because we don't tax digital goods here, and on top of that usually games go on sale for much cheaper on the PSN flash sales and what not than they do for physical.

Because a game is only exclusive if *they* say so and if it is literally 10/10 otherwise it is useless shovelware, apparently.

the only thing i don't like about going all digital is that a lot of times i want to trade in a game later, but downloaded it. it's sometimes hard to tell which games you will wanna keep 'forever', though.

If it's linear it's also a corridor, too. I'm glad BB and Uncharted 4 stiked the perfect balance of smei-open world approach

I enjoy Uncharted and TLOU but even though they don't have as many cutscenes as something like Bayonetta for example, they have so many fucking segments where you walk and talk with next to no gameplay. All the platforming stuff in Uncharted are just meant to be set pieces without much gameplay too.

That didn't prevent Final Fantasy X from being remastered on PS4. Wasn't there another God of War game on PS3 too? They could've remastered that too.

yeah that's why i've given up entirely on buying games at full price, so I just wait for sales. I try and buy games that don't look like they have much replay value as physical so I can sell them later (I bought Until Dawn physical for instance, got my play thoughs out of it and resold it within a week or so).

If rental stores made a comeback that'd make this problem go away.

yeah I bought the Cactuar Express theme separate after seeing a video for it on youtube. The Nine Woods Hills music is really comfy, and the way the seats occasionally fill up with FF monsters is neat

Demon Gaze II Asia release with English subs coming some time in Q1 2017. I wonder if it'll get a retail release stateside, otherwise I'll have to import.

Adore that game, those are pretty much the only heavy hitters I have from back in the day, I didn't too well with buying games when it came to the SNES library overall. Lots of licensed and comic book games.

Also, 3D Dot Game Heroes, it was always amusing having GameStop employees tell me I'm the only one that preordered a certain game. Not sure why they bother to tell me that.

Worse visuals and the music is because the composer is xenophobic, but has added content. Not like the PS2 version doesn't stop existing because the 3DS one is released.

yeah it does, includes expanded scenes/new storylines, gameplay enhancements, and 2 new party members, so it'll at least be worth a revisit
