Green.
But the segments are so small and alternate with Black making your brain see a sort of yellowish shade.
Faggot.

>This is green

Is t it the same color as his face? Why not circle that?

Yeah thats why it looks the exact same as the green blocks. Get your eyes checked shit-for-brains

Depends on your television actually.

It's closer to green than yellow.

Sega had yellow! Sega does what Nintendon't!

that is a shade of green.

You might just be colorblind

That's like a really light shade of green

Actually it's in the dead center of green and yellow.
AKA yellow.

Third row, 9th from the left. Notice how it looks yellow on a display, but is actually green in direct input.

Even if you convince yourself it's more yellow than green, it's still very clearly not "true yellow". Which is what people say the nes can't do.

*in the dead center of green and red
Fuck me, my typo disproves my point.

lol.

Grellow
Yeen

>its yellow, but not true yellow!

>

You should make a penis haha. Just draw for a joke haha.

it didn't have a pure yellow tone
but it could absolutely display yellow shades

man, the NES system palette is fucking retarded, like they didn't give a fuck
even knowing the limitations of the day, it's retarded

what the fuck is up with your monitor that #e4e594 shows up as green
you know, a color where red and green are about the same brightness, mixing to make yellow

are you mentally retarded?
you got an easy to understand answer that is right, but you just chose to reject it
also that color is green
you should give a doctor a visit

Yellow is yellow, you can't say it's only half

>even IF you CONVINCE YOURSELF it's more yellow than green
which would be incorrect

I thought this was a troll thread and then went back to check Mario where everything I thought was yellow was actually orange.

What the fuck?!

I said it's closer to green than yellow, so no I never said that.

This is yellow, but its not how NES display this color on screen.

>NES couldn't display yellow

Huh?

...

yep

this is gendale

Hmmmmm...
I guess what they say is true...
...that Genesis DOES what NintenDon't!
HE HE HE

It has a greenish and an orangish yellow, but not yellow yellow.
But of course, only on the real system, which the pic the OP is basing his stuff is not.

It's not

Are you telling me the Yellow Devil isn't yellow? How did they get away with this?

It clearly is.

It's okay when Nintendo does it

>Yellow with the absolute minimal amount of extra green an 8-bit screen can add
Might as well call it yellow.

nigga he orange

Yellow

>Orange

he is puddi puddi color.

It's yellow, but its not the color the real NES displays.

man, the SMS system palette is wholly reasonable (plain 'ole 6-bit RGB)
really, the SMS hardware is fantastic, but that's because Sega had to make it better than the NES since their original attempt at a console was pretty much a Colecovision in a different box, but released at the same time as the Famicom

the audio chip is mildly retarded (if you could go down one fucking octave lower, it'd be perfectly fine, although you can slave the third square's pitch to the noise channel and use that for bass notes since it can output a pulse wave at a much lower frequency than the squares -- but IIRC, zero SMS games use the noise channel's pulse mode, and you lose the third channel when you link it unless you like having the same note played back like two or so octaves higher)
it's a shame they never released the FM sound pack outside of nipland, despite a bunch of games (hell, games that weren't even released in Japan) supporting it

Sega did crazy shit though. The Game Gear, which is otherwise identical to the SMS has a wider system palette than the Genesis -- 4096 colors, 12-bit RGB (4bpp). Compare the Genesis' meager 512 colors, 9-bit RGB (3bpp).

>jealous that his shitty untrained eye cant finely distinguish the difference in color palettes
lmao

Shut up okay? It's not my fault if I was born with brown iris.

What's the name of this color, Sup Forums?

That doesn't quite work the way you think.

Yellow-leaning orange.

Jackie Chan

Looks kinda orangey.

KINDERGARTEN REPORT CARD

"user continues to identify a yellowish color as 'orange'. We're suggesting he be put in the special needs program."

That is a drawing, you impossible retard. That's not a NES sprite.

Fun fact.
Kung Fu on the nes was a jackie chan game in japan.

jap foreskin

...

>now going to be playing vidya and wondering if all these colors are REALLY yellow/green/red or if they're like this doppelganger color fucking with my mind
god dammit Sup Forums

Monitors can't display yellow.
Only red, green and blue.

Light brown

>R: 248
>G: 216
>Exact middle of yellow and orange
>Yellowish color
Fucking teacher piece of shit, fuck you.

This entire thread is memebait. Nice troll, OP.

They display yellow by combining green and red. Some monitors do have the capability of displaying yellow on top of the other three, but it's mostly a meme for marketing.

Autism: The Thread

Yes, it is.

Fix your monitor and/or eyes.

don't you have some cartoon horses to bitch about, Barneyfag?

The worst problem of the SMS is the CPU.
While it is higher clocked, you have a 5 cycle minimum per instruction (compared to the 2 cycles per instruction min of the NES) that fucks it up hard, at a point SMS consistently gets outperformed by the NES in terms of actual frame rate.

Red light mixed with green light becomes yellow light.
Stop being such a retard.

>emulator palette

>nearly equal red and green
>signifigantly less blue
that equals yellow

The NES can't display true yellow.

It can do yellow-ish colors, but not yellow.

>red and green are almost identical in value
nigga you just proved it is yellow.

Um. Why did you reply to me, nerd? Are you stalking me? I'm gonna let all my girlfriends know what a creep you are.

ALL your girlfriends?

>/vr/ trolls Sup Forums

It's gonna be a great new year, you guys.

Same with Metroid. Samus isn't Yellow and Red, she's Orange and Red

best reply

What is /vr/ other than oldfags from Sup Forums?

...

They aren't mixed though.
The pixels are just so tiny that our brain can't differentiate the lightwave.

>ignores the blue slider

...

That's the SNES, pussytits. More than capable of displaying yellow.

all none of them #rekt

>blue doesn't exist
And neither do you.

It can display shades of yellow but not a direct yellow like with other colors. It turns out looking more like orange, green, or cream colored.

>FFFFFF is pure white
>FFFF00 is pure yellow
what do you call every shade between them?

Blue only affect how close to white the color is.

Cool.
I get to rape them too.

...

/vr/ honestly seems like a cool place for discussions. I just wish I had more of an interest in older games.

Can someone please fill me in?

Blue just changes how pale it is.
More blue, more pale, until it eventually becomes white.

different shades of yellow, idiot.

See and .
The original NES doesn't have a true yellow. Most of the shitposts in the thread are based off adjusted emulator palettes.

I'd get to that level myself and show you what color that is but playing that game is a pain.

Hey guys

Hello, orange.

Not pure yellow, has red mixed in.
