civ6 will finally be better than civ5

This. 2017 is looking like the best year of this gen so far. Devs are finally finishing up games they started working on when the consoles released.

In the first quarter theres gonna be better games than what 2016 had all year. Not one game stands out as a fantastic game from 2016. all mediocre. like muddy water you find in the desert, it seems great until you look at it objectively.

tbqh, i'm not very hyped for them. i'm expecting torment to be more akin to Tyranny than PST itself, and DivOS2 is definitely going to be more of the same (which isn't bad, but meh).

Piranha Bytes Elex might be interesting. Its going to be janky as fuck but they might produce something fun. They improved a lot from Risen 2 to 3. Maybe they'll finally make something that calls back to Piranha Bytes of old.

I'd still say 2016 having a whole bunch of "good" but no "great" games is leagues better than what we had in 2015
